Fifteen years ago, DIS founder Pete Werner took his passion for Disney and created what is now The DIS!

The Disneyland Podcast team recorded a show celebrating the anniversary that will go up next week, along with a similar show from the Orlando team.

For now, please join me in saying thanks to Pete for giving us all our Disney home and thanks to the Moderators and Webmasters for keeping it going.

Happy Birthday DIS!

I first discovered this site when I decided to research a trip to DLR in 2008. I had been to Disneyland many times but wanted to see if there were any tips I didn't know. It was here I discovered the Disneyland Snowball Effect which says that when planning a trip to DLR, these boards will just make your trip "snowball". My quick 2 day trip staying at my sister's house turned into 3 days at a nearby hotel, APs, and a new camera. The list has only gotten longer since then.

Wow, 15 years?! Happy Anniversary to the DIS and its crew! Thank you, Pete, for creating a community where us Disney fans can share and exchange interesting and useful tips about travel, trivia, and so much more! I can't express how much the DIS helped me with my first trip to DLR as an adult after many years of absence. My first adult trip back in 2009 was the best vacation I've ever had, and it was due in large part to the tips I received on here. I look forward to being abe to help others with their questions as I become more experienced in my DLR travels. Thanks again, and congratulations!
