The day started out with Daniel taking his normal very long shower, while the rest of us had a light breakfast in the lounge. While the CL at the GF is getting outrageously expensive
, I love having the convenience of a light breakfast that you don't have to wait in line for.
We rode over to MK on a short ride on the Monorail. There was a MVMCP that night, so they were closing at 7. I have a picture of BG beside of a sign very similar to this one when he was 4 (1976), so I thought this pic was quite appropriate.

I have always wanted to take a ride on the horse drawn buggy, but I never seem to be in the right place at the right time....
I had heard that Disney was painting the Castle to look more like the castle in Tokyo - I held of my opinion until I saw it in person. I kind of like it, though it wasn't the same castle I was used to seeing. I think it looks more realistic with this new paint job.
We were also able to catch a glimpse of the new Castle Forecourt Stage show - the name escapes me at the moment. We watched it until it was almost completed - It was cute.
We decided to move in the opposite direction from the masses, so we went to Adventureland first. Daniel and DMIL hadn't seen the "new" POTC yet. So, we rode that first. Then, it was on to BTMRR - DMIL doesn't ride this at all. So, it was just Daniel, BG and me. I don't recommend riding this ride alone...
I slid all over the place, back and forth!! Those "leather" seats gave my butt NO traction!!!
From there, it was the Country Bear Jamboree. I don't know about you guys, but I didn't like that WDW didn't set up the Christmas show for the CBJ! We look forward to a little variety during our visits, which we didn't get from the Country Bears this trip. They did, however, have a new clock to count down to the next show.
Same old show - not even an ounce of Christmas spirit from these Bears!!
