hanging shoe organizer and other organizational tips

You cannot use over the door hanging bags. You may use hanging organizers, as long as you hang them from the hooks in the room, or in the closet.

Can you give me a link or proof of this? I'm not doubting you at all but someone on another forum is saying that I'm a liar and encouraging people to use these. I want to discourage people from this practice.

OVER THE DOOR ORGANIZERS (April 19, 2013)

Dear Guests,

We are glad that you have joined us aboard the Disney (Choose Ship)!

As you may be aware, it is important to us to keep our facilities looking their best for all our guests. As part of our commitment to this area of focus, we ask that you do not affix anything to your stateroom door utilizing tape or any adhesive, including removable gel adhesives. We have found that these adhesives damage the finish on our stateroom doors; therefore we ask that you limit door decoration to those of the magnetic variety.

Concurrently, we ask that guests not use over-the-door hanging organizers as they have been found to scratch and/or disfigure stateroom doors and trim.

Guests found with damaged doors are assessed a $100 damage fee per incident to cover the cost of repairs.

Your attention to this matter will greatly assist us in keeping our shipboard environment looking ship-shape. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact Guest Services, Deck 3 Mid-ship.

If interested, magnetic door decorations are available for purchase in our merchandise area. For your convenience, magnetic strips are also available at Guest Services.

We appreciate your cooperation and hope you have an enjoyable sailing.

OMG you are so fast. Thank you! thank you thank you!

We used magnetic hooks with shoe organizer and it worked perfectly. I liked it so much that my organizer is now up in my laundry room for random stuff!

I had bought an over the door shoe organizer and a set of magnet hooks but left the over the door hangers in the package. They were confiscated out of my bag prior to luggage delivery.

I'm laughing out loud at some of the items on this list.....but you KNOW that the reason they are on the list is that someone tried to bring it on board....rice cooker? Microwave? What are you thinking?

I had bought an over the door shoe organizer and a set of magnet hooks but left the over the door hangers in the package. They were confiscated out of my bag prior to luggage delivery.

Thank you. Still being questioned on this.

Thank you. Still being questioned on this.

That's awful that they are questioning you when all you are doing is being helpful, if they don't want to believe you, there's not much you can do. Guess they will learn the hard way if they bring one and get it either taken away or get fined for using it.

I did. They want proof that someone has been fined! LOL Guess they want to learn the hard way.
I'm not sure anyone is fined for just bringing the over the door part. Actually, not really a "fine", but a "damages done" cost. The cost would happen if it's determined that there was damage to the door/door frame due to the use of the over the door hanger part.
