I was thinking of taking a trip to HH in the end of the summer but have never been there before. my great aunt had a hip replacement with a lot of complications and I was thinking of taking her along. Although she is doing much better now I'm not sure if she would have a problem getting into a vacation home there or not. Someone told me that she would only be able to stay in the main inn building, Does anyone have any info that would help me make my plans?

Live Oak Lodge is the main building, and the building of my choice when visiting HHI. You can park in the covered garage in the building and take an elevator to check-in and the rooms. You can get a studio, 1BR, or 2BR in the building.

Due to the possibility of flooding, there are two flights of steps to all the other buildings except for that one. Even the first floor rooms have 12 steps leading to them.

Check out the photos in my website for further information.
