The twins: Michayla has Pierre Robin Sequence (her jaw didn't grow out while in the womb, which caused the tongue to stay in the roof of her mouth, which caused a cleft palate...it also causes hearing, vision & cardiac issues) Luckily she didn't get it as bad as a lot of the babies.....a good number of them need a trach done & jaw distraction surgery. She didn't need either.
She's g-tube fed (tube in the belly)....doesn't eat anything orally.
She's on the autism spectrum. She doesn't say words or sign so knowing her needs is almost impossible.
She's mentally delayed. Cognatively a 9month old.

Shyann didn't get the Pierre Robin, but has cardiac issues.
She's delayed, cognatively around a 2 yr old.
She's on the fence for being on the spectrum....but the day she was tested was a VERY good day for her & not the "norm".

Both girls also have an un-named genetic disorder which is visable in their facial features & ears. If they ever need glasses, I'm not sure how they'll stay on....they don't have that area (space) above their ears to hold glasses on.

No new news on the moving thing.....but with everything in limbo we made a very painful decision that we should let the dog go back to the original family, as they had commented many times that they missed her & would take her back if we ever had to. So I contacted them, explaining that we weren't sure when or where we were moving & finding a rental that accepts a 40 lb dog was gonna be difficult. We didn't want the dog to have to move to different states, stuck in a car & motels, etc. So Mike & I thought letting her go back to her first home might be the best for her.

The original owner said to bring her back & made it sound like she was excited about it. Mike reluctantly gave her back at 10am yesterday. I received a message from her at 11pm that they had issues with her & found a nice couple that took her. I was very upset that she didn't get a hold of me to say that it wasn't gonna work out & then take it upon herself to get rid of her.

This morning we found out from another source that she had the dog listed on craigslist yesterday afternoon. It didn't say she was for sale, but everyone that knows this gal.....assume she did it only for the money. I called & told her we wanted her back home. We would have never given her up if we thought she wasn't going to them. I could have advertised her on craigslist!!!! I asked if she sold her & she said no, but we think she did & the money's gone. She said she can't figure out what email was the couple that took her.......which I say is crap. She either emailed these people or called them on a cellphone & would have their #. I told her she needed to call them & explain the situation.

I don't think that will happen & now my dog has gone to complete strangers as I deal with 2 very devistated kids (as well as mom & dad).

I can't believe people are like that..........so, so sad!!

We were in triple digits temperature the last few days and we are finally falling into double digits. So I really prefer those double digits. But, when it comes to Disneyland single digits are best for sure.

We are going to San Francisco tomorrow and I cannot tell you the happy dance I was doing when I saw the weather report that said it was going to be 64 degrees. The thought that I will be someplace that I will not feel like I am melting is amazing.

That will be fun for you!! I myself was happy to reach the 80's today (first time this year!!)...... it's supposed to start cooling off & rain by the end of the week......yuck!!

We have had 100 and over for the last few days I will gladly share. It has been melting me.

We will have fun in the city. I love that place.

I couldn't believe she whined about missing the dog & then as soon as she got her back she got rid of her. My guess is she did it for the money. She's selling the kennel & things we bought her & sent with her singly. So mad that she did that......we have no recourse....believe me I looked into it!! I hope she feels the guilt at night knowing she made the kids so miserable. I had explained we didn't HAVE to do this but thought it would be better for Piper if she didn't have to go thru a move (especially if it ended up being a new state) but if she wasn't gonna keep her......we would have!

Now I just need to let it go....it's been eating me up since I found out last night. I de-friended her & all the people I was involved with on the foster parent board......don't want anything to do with those people......big reason I quit months ago.....shady people!
