Halloween Horror Nights 2010?

Has anyone been following the HHN viral page that they also had the last few years? It's at http://www.legendarytruth.com

They're also on facebook. They were the guys from Universal creative team that gave us clues to HHN in years past. It was up close and personal 2 years ago. There was even a secret meeting at the park where they handed out fliers with clues that year.

Ok, so the tickets say you can't bring cameras. Does that mean we can't even take pictures outside of the houses? Do they check your purse before you enter?

we have always took cameras and never had any probs, its hard to take decent photos though with everything thats going on:scared1:

You can bring cameras and can take as many pictures as you want in the streets/scarezones but not in any of the houses. Sometimes they will tell you no pictures are allowed outside...in front of the houses...happened to me in 2008. They don't check your purse but if you are caught taking pictures inside the houses, you could be evicted.

Although I haven't participated in any of the events at the parks, I have been visiting the website. I'm also a fan of their facebook site.

If you joined them two years ago with the whole Bloody Mary storyline, the night that she manifested you got a few texts and then a call at midnight from the inspection team. It was pretty wicked.

So I am on the site right now trying to purchase our park tickets in conjunction with the stay and scream. It all works out fine for my boyfriend and I since we are buying just a basic one day park to park access ticket, but when I try to buy my sister's Florida resident ticket, it doesn't give me the option to buy the stay and scream. Does anyone know if this is just something with the site, or am I doing something wrong?! I don't mind buying our stay and scream the day of, I am just terrified it will sell out. We are going Sunday Oct. 3rd. TIA!:thumbsup2

As Metro and Patster have indicated, yes you can bring cameras and take pictures in the streets and scarezones ... we have done this every year since 2003 and have had no problems. Unfortunately they stopped allowing cameras and video in the Bill and Ted show though a couple years ago.

You should be able to purchase the discounted HHN tickets (S & S upgrade) when you purchase your park tickets. BUT...if you live in CA (according to your profile) and are trying to purchase FL resident tickets, that's probably why you are having a problem. FL resident tickets are only for FL residents to buy and use.

I have another question. I have a leg that is messed up and I can't be on my feet too long or else it hurts so for part of the time at disney world I usually rent a wheel chair. I see that you can also rent wheel chairs at universal studios, but can you rent wheel chairs during hhn? I might need one to make it through that night and I wanted to know if the rental place is open during those nights? thanks:)

Yeah, no I purchased mine and my boyfriends no problem, I didn't do Florida resident for us. We used to be Florida residents but have lived in cali for the last year or so (totally a bummer though, I miss those FL resident ticket rates! :rotfl:), and I wouldn't try and cheat the system! :goodvibes...I was trying to do it for my sister and brother who live in Florida still. I used her address, but still wasn't able to do it. I figure I will just have my sister call and purchase it with her card so that way the Florida address will line up! :thumbsup2 Thanks for the advice!

I apologise if this question has been placed before, however, we're going on Halloween night which is a Sunday night. Can anyone tell me how busy it will on this particular night?

Thanks in advance.

Trying to figure out which is the best option. Only spending a short weekend in Orlando, planning on attending Sunday, Oct 10th. Should I purchase a Regular HHN Ticket with the Express option for two people ($291.82 total) or purchase a One Day Universal Ticket with the Stay and Scream Option ($257.80)? I have plans during the day, so purchasing the Universal ticket with the Stay and Scream would be only for the early privileges.

I can't figure which option would be better in my case, deal with the front gate crowds but then have the Express, or knock out a couple houses early with Stay and Scream, but then deal with regular lines...the prices are pretty similar, just looking which option with let me see the most houses with the least fuss.

If you already have plans for the day, I would just do the regular ticket w/Express since you only have the one day. With Express you should be able to hit all the houses in one night. Just try to be at the gates as close to 5pm as you can to avoid the LONG lines out front.

I've heard people tell me that Halloween night isn't that busy but who knows what's going to happen this year.

No...just Friday the 15th...it's a statewide student holiday. HHN will be really packed on Thursday but it shouldn't be too bad during the day.

I am unsure which date to do HHN my only choices are Fri 8th Oct, Sunday 10th Oct or Thursday 14th Oct. Normally I would have chosen the Thursday but as you have helpfully posted that it will be very busy that day as students are off on Friday 15th I am now unsure which to do. Which would you choose?

You can rent wheelchairs for HHN at Universal but they sometimes run out on HHN. So be there early to get one.

I would go on Sunday 10/10...that will probably be the least crowded of the dates you listed.

We would agree with Metro ... however saying that we're going both the 10th and 14th, but have express passes as well
