Halloween Horror Nights 2010?

There will be a Wednesday thrown in there sometime in October...probably 10/20 this which is Hell Week...since the local schools are out that week.

*** HHN is NOT for young children ***

Hell week? oh no!!! that's the week we'll be in Disney and are doing Universal Sunday and Monday of that week. Any advice? we can't change our trip now. are the kids out the whole week?

No...just Friday the 15th...it's a statewide student holiday. HHN will be really packed on Thursday but it shouldn't be too bad during the day.

Can someone please tell me what's been talked about? I love Halloween Horror Nights and love the website, but there are so many threads abd I can't read through them all.

Will there be a Halloween Horror Nights Website Updated thread? That's where I usually read...

Just general questions so far. I don't see the point in a thread for the website updates since they are sporatic and no one knows when it will be updated. Just put the website as a favorite on your computer so you can check it easily.

There will be a HHN meet thread later on so people can post when they are going so we can meet up.

I think you should go to IOA first and do what you can and then head over to the Studios. If you have your park tickets and can be inside the park before it closes at 5pm, you will have a HUGE advantage by doing S & S as opposed to coming in late. It might save you money on the EPs as well...they are not cheap!

That was my first thought too.. I'm just worried if we do IOA first we will be spending our entire time waiting in line for Harry Potter! It would be a lot easier if my brother was going to HHN with us, but he isn't, so we have to have as much time as possible in each park and since universal closes at 5 and IOA at 7, I was just thinking it may work to our advantage to go to the studios first. Maybe i'll just hope and pray that Harry Potter dies down by then!! haha.. Thanks for the input!! :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2 exactly - plus you're closest to the soundstage houses which open first
They open one or two out of the three with entrances in the other area early too. Last year it was Silver Screams first, followed shortly by one of the others but I'm doing a mind blank on which one.

Wasn't Chucky: Friends Til The End open early too? Maybe that's the one you're thinking of.

Correct! I remember Chucky and then Silver Screams (which you exited near Spawning). Can't believe I'll be in Orlando in a month and a half!

We're getting FFPs with our AP discount and I was wondering when is the best time to purchase? Should we purchase them online or wait till we get there?

Thanks for all the great info.

okay question about hell week - we will be orlando oct 9-16
we are planning on doing HHN the 10, 14 and 15 not planning on buying EP do you think we can do all the houses over the course of 3 days even with it being Hell Week?

I would purchase them online and use electronic pickup. It's very easy to do and you'll get a real ticket so you won't have to trade anything in.

Yes...Thursday night will be the most crowded but you should be OK having been two nights prior. I would suggest doing the houses first...then the shows and finally go back to do the favorites and maybe ride some rides on the last night.

We are going on Thursday the 30th of September but since we have already bought our tickets UNiversal won't let us buy Stay and Scream until the day.

How likely is it that Stay and Scream would be sold out that day?

I'm a bit upset that we are staying on site and bought multi day passes and UNiversal customer service pretty much said bad luck, buy a full ticket to HHN if you want to make sure of a ticket for that night.

I seriously doubt the tickets will be sold out for that night. Remember...the S & S upgrade is just a discounted HHN ticket...there is not a separate S & S ticket. If you're going to be there a few days before you go to HHN, just purchase the HHN tickets while you're at the park. You have to have your day tickets in order to purchase the discounted HHN tickets.

I ordered my FFPs on Thursday by phone since the website wouldn't let me log in my AP#(a recurring problem) & just got them today via Fed-Ex:banana:They do not charge shipping and I prefer to have them in hand when I go. I figured they would send them via regular mail and it would take a few weeks so I'm happy they came so soon.

I know you can't wear costumes to HHN, but we have cute Camp Crystal Lake T-shirts. Would it be ok to wear those?

Thank you!

I've read the posts, but I'm still confused. Would love some help.

I have a Premier AP that includes a one night non peak ticket for HHN. I will be using this on Thurs., Sept. 30. I will be at Studios that day.

Do I have to purchase the S & S pass or do I already have this because of my AP and my HHN ticket? I just want to make sure I can do the S&S since this seems to be the best way to get the houses done without purchasing express. I'm also staying at RPR if that helps.

Thanks ahead of the time for the help.

I could be wrong, but from what I've read on other threads you do get one non peak night with that pass.

Please someone correct me if I'm wrong!

I believe you will need to go to Guest Services and actually pick up a ticket for HHN for the night you wish to go. It will be free, but you will still need that HHN ticket. inkkognito can confirm as I know she and her husband are Premier passholders.
