Well, it appears the rumor was true. I guess the Health Dept. won't have to come and close us down after all!

The mexican and frozen margaritas were yummy! It was a "grown ups only" night........Steven wasn't happy, but it sure was fun!

Don't want to mess up the clean kitchen..........so we've ordered out for wings. (Can anyone tell we love to eat out?)

Well glad the house is clean..How was the wings?? having them tomorow for super bowl....
The b-day parties are over and we are beat...Now we just have to get thorugh tuesday the real b-day just dinner out gifts from us etc..Boy the parties are hard work...but glad I was here this year to do it...

Hi everyone. If you go to the info about the cruises on the main page they have a choice to view the Halloween cruise 2005 navigator. It's Fun to look at! Get's you excited.

Can anyone answer why we need to be up so early when docking in St. Thomas if going off ship? I've been on numerous other cruises and this isn't protocol. I'm still looking to find out why. Especially on a trip where there are so many young children. Crash....any ideas?

Princess.....I do not know the immigration laws but I do know that is why your whole family is up early. Everyone on the ship MUST appear in front of a immigration officer before it can be cleared to let people off. It usually goes pretty quick.

Kristin, I don't laugh at you, I laugh with you!!
Click on top of page Disney Cruis Line then go to staterooms. It's kind of hidden.

I called DCL today to see how much an upgrade to a Cat. 4 would be. It's $872.45 to add another adult (my mother) and another $640 to go to cat 4. It would be cheaper than getting her own room in a cat. 7 but I'm not sure it's that much of a bargain.

Cat. 5 is perfect for a family of 4. We had plenty of room and love the balcony so if my mother doesn't come we'll just stay put.

Fran and Kristin, I did a little more research and it appears that because the day before we are in(out of usvi) St Maarten, we need to clear customs right away when entering USVI St Thomas. I've never had to do this before but someone said after 9/11 things changed
It's the only thing about St Thomas that I know I will dislike.

I went to the library and checked out the Passporter book. I want to wait until the next edition comes out before I buy one. Think I'll get the deluxe edition, the cover looks nice. Does anyone have that edition? Is it worth a little extra?

Kristin, Where did you preorder your Passporter from?

Was anyone rooting for Pittsburg last night? If so.....

I was glad to see them win.....Was my late fil's team, he grew up in Pittsburg!

Deanna, I hate that feeling. last year they hit a nerve in Cameron's face and he went numb on whole left side of his face. It was awful, his eye and mouth drooped. I flipped out and the dentist had to calm me down.

It was hard to get into the game this year. I'm from New England remember? At least we got to see Tom throw the coin!!

As for the Passporter I think you all know my feelings on it. I've read it over and over( my obsessive tendencies comes out with books) I have the second and third edition and I am planning on getting the fourth. I think the deluxe has some places to put notes and tuck things in and a leather binder.?

Well....

I did not notice if anyone had already responded to this Q yet... but the Captain of the Magic has a side bet with the Governor of St Thomas that he can get a high % of passengers OFF the ship if he wakes everyone up for customs ... and he published the last ships' % off visiting passengers in the ships' newspaper - the Navigator... and if we exceed that number than everyone gets Mickey Bars at dinner and an extra $25 cabin credit. Plus - the characters will all volunteer to provide one in cabin massage to each cabin that buys a 2 for 1 special rate - and the massage is done IN COSTUME! Imagine... Snow White or pluto doing an in room massage? Or how about Tarzan...?!?

.... OK... maybe NOT! LOL! SO.... the main reason is that following the St Maarteen port call St Thomas is the first US port. So they wake us then - thus speeding our ejection from the ship once we return to Port Canaveral. I'm sure this is NOT by accident as it speeds the turnover of the ship. And I would have to say I tend to prefer the DCL routine here as opposed to doing it on our return. I like the easy debarkation routine.

Gotta go meet my sister to transfer our dog... as we're out of town next week for the Carnival Spirit Mexican cruise. And if anyone wants a chuckle... go look up my cruise meet thread at cruise critic under the spirit - feb 12th for families... and vote on my cabin query poll. SO far - no one has bothered to vote that they've sailing in the engine room... and I need some light hearted madness to spice up my thread! Here's a link....

Just finished wrapping the kids b-day gifts for the "official" big day tomorrow...Can not believe they are four.....Time flies when you are having fun right???? then it is onto writing valentines for their class oh wait I still have to make cupcakes for school on Thursday for the birthday..HELP will this birthday ever end?????

Thanks for all of the birthday wishes..The kids and us are beat we had a great dinner out...The kdis are stuffed as are we..Now I have to only bake cupcakes for school on thurs....so then we can move onto valentines day...
Any suggestions for gifts for Dh.. Ihave ordered dinner like I have said ordered dinner...From the pasta company and you get appetizers, bread salad, choice of dinner, dessert and coffe for fifty dollars per couple...It is great I ordered it last year but since I was in the hospital...I had to cancel it last minute...But my parents got it and said it was great so thought I would put the kids to bed early and then serve the fabulous dinner...I need a gift for him though do not know what...Ordered a shirt was thinking of saving it for his b-day though?? any ideas...?????
