I've always found the potatoes at breakfast to be very hit or miss at Crystal Palace, it seems sometimes they are really good, and other times something is just off with them.

Looks like you guys had a blast with TigerKat and her hubby, cannot wait to meet them one day myself!

Can you believe I forgot to order the Zooberry drink! I had read so much about it and just ordered ice tea, wonder why I did that because I love to drink at WDW!

Gives me an excuse to go back and get my drink on!

You MISSED a drink?????????? WOW! You NEED TO go back and have one - it was definitely DISNEYLISCIOUS!

Meeting Tigerkat was so much fun! She and her hubby are such wonderful and nice people!

At WDW????? I can't believe you missed a drink that you were dying to try.

Karin, anxiously awaiting a new update.

Don't you just love Piglet? I'm sorry you didn't care for the puffed french toast -- it is one of my favorites (I was disappointed in the potato casserole last time too...it wasn't as good as in the past).

Love the pic of Tom with Tigger.

We're not usually into the characters, but these were really fun and made it easy to play along.
That puffed french toast reminded me of something my grandmother used to make and it is called "baked mice" :lmao: for cying out loud - not something you would like to eat at the Mouse Kingdom!

Yay CP, yummy look choices and how nice that you got some visitors to welcome you to MK on that lovely brisk morning :)

Apart from the potato casserole the food was really nice - I think I expected something different with the puffed french toast, but the fruit was so nice - really ripe and lots of taste and the characters were fun! :goodvibes

It really surprised me that the potato casserole was not done and they were a dice cut and the breakfast potatoes were really nice :confused3 even though they were cut in wedges. The rest of the food was very nice though! :thumbsup2

love your pics with the characters at CP, and I agree with you on the puffed french toast thing,,,not my thing, either.

yes disney.co.uk is da bomb when it comes to OKW....hope you remembered to go through quidco for some cash back too:thumbsup2...if it's offered for next year it's likely to be offered in August, altho' on the Dibb some are saying that some TA's like Virgin holidays may have it avaialable for next month :confused3

looking fwd to more drooling:yay:

We just LOVE disney.co.uk, even more now that they didn't charge us for changing our ressie! ;) :goodvibes

I hope Disney US will do a bounceback FD offer for next summer - we are always trying to do one of those trips on a smaller budget :rotfl2:, but with a year to plan, offers like the co.uk one pop up and I just can't resist.

Yuck-- undercooked potatoes would NOT impress me! Glad other items were good, though!

All I can say is "I miss the Mickey Mouse waffles lol!" I was looking at photos and my little one was 2 when we went. Time flies by so quick! :)

Hey Karin, I'm here catching up on your reviews, great as always!!!

The pulled pork sandwich from captain cooks is my favorite sandwich there, it's always just perfect!!

Blue Zoo looks great!! I wish we had time to fit it in, I've been wanting to try that Zooberry cocktail, since Vettechick99 posted about it, 4 or 5 years ago! :rotfl: Next time, I'm getting one!!

CP breakfast looks good too! We'll have to fit that in one of these days as well. ;)

I'm still so impressed by your pictures, you always have the best food porn... :cloud9:

Loved your review of breakfast at Crystal Palace! Just today I addede this meal to our July trip! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the update! We've never been to CP, we don't do buffets, with the exception of BOMA. (Thanks to Nick!);)

How was the coffee?:flower3:

great review, think we're going to try CP brekkie next time.
keep up the fab work :goodvibes

Hi! Another great review. We have done CP for supper but never for breakfast. It looks like another add on for the next trip. :thumbsup2 Mickey waffles...YUM.:goodvibes

We have never had the breakfast at CP. We have always had a late lunch or dinner. Would you recommend the breakfast over the dinner? I make my ADR's next week. Also, what was remodeled at the CP? The inside or the outside?:cool1:

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Mickey Waffles!!!!!! So I am right there with you!

And how awesome to get the castle pics without other people in the picture.

These undercooked potatoes didn't impress us much either! Tasted one, that was it! :lmao: But the rest was yummy! :thumbsup2

Mickey Waffles :thumbsup2 - they were really nice! And even though it is scary to see how time flies by - but at least it brings our next vacations closer! ;)

You NEED to make time to fit in BlueZoo sometime! It's really something special, especially the ZooBerry! ONE yummy drink!

It was our first visit to Crystal Palace :scared1: and we were really happy with the food and character interaction! Pooh completely ignored us! Silly old bear!

Thanks for the praise! I love my little camera! :flower3:

You won't be disappointed - the food was nice, just steer clear of crunchy potatoes and the service was wonderful! :goodvibes

We don't really do buffets either, let alone character ones, LOL, but the thought of having the MK more or less to ourselves was just too tempting. I just added Boma for dinner to our ADR list for our summer trip - we LOVE breakfast there, but have never been for dinner! :scared1:

We did try our new coffee this weekend, here is proof of it!

This is one nice coffee! Thank you so much for it! We were stunned it tasted a bit like the coffee my grandma used to make! :cloud9:

great review, think we're going to try CP brekkie next time.
keep up the fab work :goodvibes

Can only recommend CP breakfast! :thumbsup2 And having the MK all to yourself doesn't hurt either! ;)

Hi! Another great review. We have done CP for supper but never for breakfast. It looks like another add on for the next trip. :thumbsup2 Mickey waffles...YUM.:goodvibes

This was our first visit to CP ever! I guess we might have another visit for breakfast soon! :thumbsup2 We're not really big buffet eaters, so it might take a while until we decide to try for anything else than breakfast. ;)

Another great review and photos :thumbsup2
thanks for taking the time to do this

Thank you! It is my pleasure to share our dining adventures with you all! :flower3:

Unfortunately I cannot compare CP breakfast to any other meals there, we have never been to any! The only other time we were in there was during MVMCP for cookies and hot chocolate!
I actually didn't notice anything "really" being remodelled. But then I might not have paid that much attention! ;)

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Mickey Waffles!!!!!! So I am right there with you!

And how awesome to get the castle pics without other people in the picture.

The castle pics were definitely worth getting up that early and the Mickey Waffles made it really worth wile! :rotfl2: Anything Mickey shaped is supposed to taste super yummy, isn't it? :rotfl:

Still day 4, February 16

Lunch at the Plaza

After touring the park until 11.30 and the park becoming more and more packed we decided to try our luck and ask if there was any chance we could be seated an hour early at the Plaza.

They had HUGE problems with their computer at the podium (outside) as well, but were positive it would only take a few minutes until we could be seated. We were handed a buzzer and went to wait in a sunny spot, since it was quite chilly that day. After 15 minutes wait time we were happy to give up and when I tried to return my buzzer the CM apologized and mentioned that they had some more problems and we would be next. So we decided to wait and were seated about 3 minutes later.

We both ordered Diet Coke, then went to have a look at the menu!

Our server was VERY nice and offered to explain, but we both had made our minds up. We wanted to share two entrees.

So we ordered a Turkey Sandwich - smoked turkey, bacon, lettuce, vine ripened tomato and mayonnaise on toasted multi-grain bread. The portion was large enough to share and we chose the broccoli slaw as a side. It was a really nice and tasty sandwich.

Our other choice was the

Grilled Reuben - thinly sliced corned beef on grilled marble rye with sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and Thousand Island dressing. When it first arrived I was a bit shocked because I first thought it was SO burnt on the outside, but no the bread is marbled! :rotfl2: This was my first try of a Reuben and it was a bit of a surprise with the Sauerkraut and cheese and dressing, but all in all we really enjoyed it and it was definitely more seasoned than the turkey sandwich.

We decided to skip dessert and paid our bill before we headed towards the park exit.

Fun side note: We still had FastPasses for Big Thunder Mountain and wanted to give them away. First of all it took us a while to find a party of two and we had trouble finding someone who was willing to take them. Only the third party was happy to take them.

Then we left the park and drove back to the resort.

By mid afternoon we decided to go shopping and drive to the Outlet Mall and the Discount Disney Stores before we wanted to stop at Universal to look around the Fossil Shop and maybe pick up some Vera Bradley stuff.

Next up - dinner at Universal Orlando at Bubba Gump's Shrimp Co.
