Hakuna Matata: Dash away, dash away, dash away All!

Dave, Sorry to hear about the bad day! Congrats about the Senior Olympics! Some day, I think if I tried hard enough, could get a good coach, and put in the mileage I could get pretty close to an elite level. I know it's probably not realistic, but a girl can dream. I have 6-8 years before I'm even supposed to be at my peak, so you never know.

Vicky, Christmas Party is tomorrow at school. Which may or may not be better than normal. Sugar + kids= ????

Mary, So glad everything was clear.

As for me,
8 miles in just under 1hr 10 minutes (8:45 pace). Speed is starting to come back a little.

Best,
Jennifer

Hi TEAM! :wave2:

MaryJ- PTL :hug::grouphug::hug:

Dave- Wickedly happy panda- Sorry to hear you had such a Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Bad Day! :sad1: But maybe someone will find it and return it yet! :goodvibes

Jennifer- WTG...dreams and goals are good for us :cloud9:

Gym tonight-20 minutes on the elliptical and 20 minute lower body weights-depleted of energy, but I did get through it. :headache:

Later...

Mary J that's great news.

My day went to hell in a hand basket. I lost my wallet at the market and since no one turned it in I had to canx my Check and Credit cards and get new ones sent. I can't get a new driver's license till monday and I have to get a new Military ID card, not sure what kind of fish flip that will be.

Dave:hippie:

Sorry to hear about this! Can't wait to see you next month!

I'm working a 12 hr shift today so I'll be away from the boards all day.

I wish everyone a day where you feel one day closer to making your dreams come to and not one day further away.

Wickedly Hopeful Panda:hippie:

Well, even with wearing a sports bra, things are still a bit tender, so all I did was walk today. I figured that would at least keep the muscles moving and the heart pumping. Hopefully things will be better by Saturday for my long run!

Hi everyone! I didn't make it out for my run last night :( I was completely exhausted after work so I just hung with DF. Planning on going to the gym tonight for a 1/2 of training and then will get in the 3 miles on the TM.

MaryJ - That's fantastic news! I'm so happy for you :)

Jennifer - Yeah, sugar and kids are never a good mix. But I have to say that some of my favourite memories of school were during Christmas time :)

Dave - I hope someone will turn in your wallet pixiedust:

Sue - Yes I heard about the fire and wondered if that was close to you :( I didn't have a chance to watch the news last night. Are there any updates? Last I heard, the police were looking for 3 suspects.

Kim - How's your heel?

Lynn - How's your job going? Is your knee holding up okay?

Well, that's it for me! Take care and stay warm everyone! :wave2:

Good Morning Team! It's a cold one today!

Dave, Hoping a thoughtful person finds your wallet & returns it to you.

Mary, What fantastic news! :woohoo:

Vicky, Do you live downtown? The last 2 days we have been getting these late afternoon snow "storms" making running quite slippery. The cars are packing down the snow & creating black ice over the road.
It appears that the church's bell tower is structurally sound but the interior a right off.

Margie, The fire marshall's office is still investigating but it is suspicious & they are suspecting arson. What kind of person does something like this? Destroyed in the fire were Christmas hampers for a 100 families in need. The community has come together over the last couple of days. All hampers have been replaced & more.

Have a great training day!! Tonight's weather will dictate outside or TM......
Sue

Good Morning Everyone! Cold here today! Tree is up and "dressed". Did my DML's last night as well. Cold starting the chain saw..bbbrrrrr.

Good Morning!

Dave~ It's all about the karma ! :thumbsup2

Jennifer~ You gotta be enjoying your first "For My Teacher" gifts. ;)
Will be getting my miles in at lunch time today; Brrrrr this morning.
Gotta get the truck gassed and ready to head north to Snowy Albany Sunday to p/u DS for the holidays. Boy he dropped a bomb on his mother this month, " Mom for Christmas I'd like a round trip ticket to Ft. Lauderdale to see Becka" I'm still trying to dislodge her from the ceiling :lmao:
The more I giggle the worse it gets~ Ah to be young again....
Well lets crack open the box and see whats going on :surfweb:
Margie~ Connie~ Dave~ Eva ~ Jennifer ~ Kim ~ MaryJ ~ Sue~ Vicky~Denise & Mark~ Scott & Lynn have a safe weekend.

Good morning everyone! Happy Friday! I guess we are now 1 week away from Christmas! Yikes! I have to get my butt in gear this weekend and finish up shopping for gifts! Did a workout at the gym last night - more dead lifting. We stayed at the 95lb level to just practice lifting from the ground. After that I did a quick 3 miler on the TM.

I got stuck twice by the Olympic torch relay. Once last night as it was going through my area. I didn't see the torch but did see lots of angry commuters who were stuck at the subway station - they don't let traffic through while the torch is on the road. And again this morning - we were stopped in traffic in the opposite direction but this time I got to see the torch being passed along.

Jack - So is DS going to get a ticket to Ft. Lauderdale

Dave - What a relief! I'm glad you had everything returned to you.

Sue - I'm midtown and we've been getting light dustings in the afternoon but nothing is sticking. I think it's too cold so everything ends up blowing to the side. The windchill is brutal though.

Have a great day everyone! :wave2: Keep warm :)

Happy Friday Team!

Dave, Great news about your wallet.

Vicky, Didn't get a chance to see the torch. DH saw it. Not his intention but he also got stuck in traffic waiting for it to pass. Dress warm Sat. morning it's going to be chilly.

Have a great weekend & training everyone. It's the last long one(s).

Sue

Jack, There definitely were some "interesting" ones.

Dave, Glad everything worked out.

6.25 miles in 54 minutes (8:45 ish pace). Off to a Christmas party tonight.

Best,
Jennifer

Hi TEAM! :wave2:

36° cloudy, dreary, but dropping temperature with more snow expected tonight-

Connie- how is DGD doing? Is she able to go back to school? :flower3:

Dave- that is mega good news. A special Christmas blessing! :goodvibes

Jack-

:sad1: hard to believe those cute little kids grow up. Might not want to suggest to DW that one-stop-shopping will be less stressful! Are you in the area that they forecast the terrible storm for? If so I hope you are able to get DS home before it arrives!

Sue- I know it is the last long one :worship:, but still having a hard time staying positive about that 20 miler on Sunday. So hoping I can do it outside even if it is a lot slower. I cannot imagine the DM or the Mall dodging shoppers! :crazy2:

Vicky- nice reward for being stuck in traffic :cool1:

Change in BP meds again. This one at least has shown improvement; so hoping we will get this right before WDW Marathon Weekend! :upsidedow

Have a Great Weekend! Connie, Dave, Eva, Jack, Jennifer, Kim, MaryJ, Sue, Vicky, Denise & Mark, and Scott & Lynn!

Hi guys. I had a rest day today since I had to wait for the UPS guy to deliver my new cards. I can't believe it's only 3 week to the races. EEEEK

Dave:hippie:

Scott I had a great workout this morning I did a fast 4 miler at the mall and then weights and stretching at the health club. It's just raining here but east is getting snow.

Everyone can't wait to see y'all.

Newly Single Panda:hippie:

Did my 10 miles today. Quads are a little sore, but otherwise feel good. We're heading to Denver on Tuesday to spend Christmas with our DD. Flying back on the 26th, family get together on the 27th, so my next long run will be on the 28th, but then I start the taper!:cheer2:
