Hakuna Matata: Dash away, dash away, dash away All!

Life has been truly interesting this week already and it's only tuesday.

I had a good gym workout with weights, stretching and pool running.

Have an amazing day.

Good Afternoon Team!

BRRRR! That's all I have to say. I think Vicky was too generous with her stated temps. I sit close to a window & it's even cold in the office today.

The gym has suspended classes until after the New Year. I miss my pilates class. What a drag. So last night was a night off. Finished wrapping presents & laundry.:woohoo:

Running 10k the next 2 nights. Still deciding how far on Christmas Eve.

Have a great evening everyone.............Sue

Felt run down this morn so called for a rest day.

Web meetings at work re Grants Wahooo!!!!

Hope to get home early and play with the pups, they were nutz last night. The pups are so looking forward to their 10K turkey day medals.

Hope all are doing well and enjoying the season, Lynn got some extra stuff for her stocking and it is now sooooo heavy the stocking holder will not stay on the mantle.

Hi TEAM! :wave2:

More snow- need to get on the DM and do my 42 minutes. I am really dragging my feet- the 20-miler did not improving my lack of love for the thing! :sad2:

I think my shopping is finally completed…nothing is wrapped.
The fun Christmas Party for the little guys is tomorrow night… :littleangel:

Denise- pixiedust:pixiedust:

Jennifer- running 70 miles a week - are you training for an Ultra in March? :confused3

Jack- are you snowed in? Is your DS home? Hope nothing serious happened and everyone is safe. :goodvibes

Dave- I can relate a bit. DD almost died this summer. She is still struggling with major medical issues and pain. Some days have lots of bumps and a few surprises, but we never lose our Faith & Hope! :upsidedow

Connie- please update us on the doctor’s visit for your foot & hip today. :goodvibes

Kim-hope you were able to get an appointment. :flower3:

Sue- Sorry about your class, but way to go with getting your wrapping completed! ::yes::

Vicky- I use sun screen during the winter too-it helps protect against wind burn. :cool2:

Scott & Lynn- have fun with the new Wii 'stuff'. :yay:

MaryJ- :flower:
Later...

Good Morning Team!

Another cold morning. No heat on the train ride to work this am. Had to keep the hat & mitts on.

Kim, Even though you probably won't see a dr before goofy you must be glad to finally have an "unofficial" diagnosis.

Vicky, Did you run in or out last night? I didn't find it too bad out until I got home. My face was beet red & then started to burn, Oops. If I'm not careful I'll end up with frostbite like you. How's yours doing?

Margie, Did you get your wrapping done?

Shorter work day tomorrow so I better get back at it.
Have a great day everyone............Sue

Hi everyone! I braved the mall yesterday but not the roads. So I missed my 5 miler but got all my shopping done :) I ended up picking up a couple of shorts for January. I figure this will force me to go to the gym tonight since I want to try running in them before the 1/2. It's also going to keep my eating over the next week and a bit in check since they are just a little bit snug. Actually I was hoping to get a running skirt but they are no where to be found anymore. One store I saw them in last week said they sent them "away" because it's winter.

Sue - The skin is just a little dry so it's not terrible. I think until I get a tighter fitting shirt, I'll probably tuck it into my tights. The weekend is suppose to warm up even though it's suppose to be wet. Our office temps aren't too bad but is it ever dry yikes!

Scott/Lynn - Stay warm and dry!

Margie - Enjoy your Christmas party!

Have a great day everyone! :wave2:

Kim, I recall Lynn saying the same about her PF, I believe they go hand in Hand.

Vicky Brave Mall Person,

Hope you NE folks have dug out by now,

We got 3" last night and Winter Storm advisory through Christmas, so we will see. It is the wind here that can make just a little snow bad.

Two days o work, reports etc etc etc

Time for Coffee

Oh I got 1.5 in on the TM this morn but it was at a 12% incline, different and tough. Felt good.

Helloooooooooooooooo Hakuna Matata!

Wow, is it cold and expected to get colder. We are under a Blizzard watch for today and tomorrow. Yikes!

Everyone! Congrats on being ready for Chirstmas! I just have the baking to do and then it will all be done.

Went to the doc, seems that I am having inflamation problems and have to rest and take medication for the next couple of weeks. :rotfl: In life, timing is EVERYTHING! I actually have doctor's orders to do no running or walking to only cross train! I think that's funny. I have to remember to ask him how often he writes those kinds of orders! I had an adjustment and my hip is greatly improved as well. Hopefully, everyone is right and the Goofy is a mind game...my mind is still working, at least for now! I have felt really strong and confident until the pain so we will see!

DGD is going back to school after the New Year!

Gotta get the baking done. Everyone train well and stay warm and safe!!!!

Good Morning everyone! Yes I'm here! :lmao:
Ben is home, snow is plowed and weather is cold....
Friday had a pipe burst in the station, fire alarm activated, water pouring down a wall, what a day! Sat/Sun Snow, 5o mph wind gusts, fortunately the worst of it came in the overnight when people were home so traffic was at minimum allowing removal operations to go smooth.
Monday fetched DS from upstate NY (no snow there) so it looks like we'll be all be home for the holidays. Yes my DW caved! :goodvibes
Still getting my miles in albeit indoors. I thought some would like to see how much we got. Some might call this a dusting. :rotfl:

Thanks, Dogs are Belle & Max.
Having lived in North Dakota for a couple of winters I would agree, but here, people panic. At the first report of a snow storm, there is a run on bread & Milk. And they forget how to drive.....
:lmao:

Jack, I love the expression on your puppies' faces in the snow pictures.

Connie, That's great news about your granddaughter!

Margie, No ultras. Just trying to step my game up a notch. I'm using Pfitzinger's Advanced Marathoning. A lot of my speedy friends have seen great results with it. (Multiple BQs, 30 minute PRs, etc.)

6.5 miles in 58 minutes (9 minute pace). Then a massage.

Hope everyone is settling in for a wonderful Holiday!

Best,
Jennifer

I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and lots of love on this holiday season.

Hi team! Just a quick drive by for me today - I did some speed training on the TM last night - 10 repeats for a total of 5 miles. I ran the speedy laps at about 8 m/m. I tested out my new pair of shorts and they're pretty comfy except they make my shirt bunch together and up. It might be because my shirt was made of a cotton like material. I'll have to try it again next week with a different type of shirt.

I've got my 12 miler on Saturday. I'm not really looking forward to it - anyone want to give me a good kick in the butt to get me going ;) Then a 3 mile pace run on Sunday and hopefully a massage if my RMT is around.

Jack - I think the last time we got that much snow we had to call in the army  Your pups are really cute!

Connie - That's fantastic news about DGD! She must be looking forward to hanging out with friends again! Take it easy on your hips! If you have one of those elastic bands, they're great for hip exercises.

Sue - Are you running Saturday or going shopping? Do you know if Lululemon has any Boxing Day sales?

Kim - I saw your other post and it must be a relief to know the cause of your foot pain - well somewhat... I don't have any experience or insight to give you but wanted to send some pixiedust: your way.

Margie - Forgot to say thanks for the sunscreen tip. I will give it a try on the next chilly day :)

Dave - Looking forward to seeing you (and everyone else) in a couple of weeks!!

Have a great day and Merry Christmas!! :wave2:

Good Morning Team!

Busy at work but going to sneek out a little early.

Vicky, Running on Sat. no shopping for me. Then going to Niagara on the Lake to visit the Inlaws. Staying overnight in the Falls & checking out the Festival of Lights. Don't shop at Lulu. I only have a gym bag from there. Did you check their website for sale info? Not sure what kind of running skirt you are looking for but the RRoom at Commerce Court had a few.

Connie, Glad to hear your DGD is going back to school.

Keep training. We are almost there.

Merry Christmas to all................Sue
