Hakuna Kidani, What a Turtleful Phrase!

You do not need it but Good Luck tomorrow. I am sure you will WOW the clipboard people and begin to feel the stress melt away as one more thing gets crossed off your list.

You are amazing, strong, creative and special. All of that will shine through tomorrow!!! :goodvibes

Just what I was thinking, Pat. Sending good vibes for tomorrow, MeMom! :goodvibes

MeMom, I hope you get to do the December trip, but if you don't just remember you are making a difference in this world. Also, it won't be so horrible as you do get to go more than a lot of folks. I know skipping any Disney trips is hard, but there will be more ahead.

I know I have gone more than I have deserved to - and certainly more than I should have. There is just something about being in that place that I do not feel anywhere else in the world. I can't describe it, but it is the best 'happy' that I feel. We can do things here with the girls, too, of course, and that will probably become more the norm as the family grows and the cost that goes with that, but when I am in that happy place with my family, that is my heaven on earth.

I hope I am making a difference for my students. School is the cleanest, safest, most normal part of the day for many of them, and I am glad to be a part of that. I really wish we didn't have all the testing and paperwork we have to do that burdens teachers to the point that we can't fully be there for the kids.

I was so happy to turn my paperwork in yesterday. That's a huge weight lifted. Now I just have to be sure I know the script and cover everything on it for today. Too bad I can't just teach naturally and hit all the information throughout the week. I have to be sure the checklist has everything checked off within the approx. one hour visit. :crazy2:

My lesson is on a basal story about jellyfish, so at least the material is interesting. I like to teach non-fiction. Last week's story was Click Clack Moo, so I'm glad my eval didn't fall on that week.

Thanks for your positive thoughts and encouragement. :thumbsup2

Hi MeMom. Just think after tomorrow your eval will be over and you can breath a sigh of relief!

It is supposed to be in the 20's tonight! Coldest night of the season so far! We'd. Is Trick or treat but back up to the 50's by then so that will be good for the little ones.(and the parents).

Well I for one hope you go in December but you need to do what feels best for you. I do love reading these TR's though :).

You have had your share of financial issues lately. When it rains it pours usually with these financial things.

That is great that Brandi had another ultra sound and you got to see Hadley better.

Loved seeing the Hakuna Matta video on FB with them and the girls. So cute!

As soon as the evaluation is over, I have to get busy on a list of things that have been on hold for about a week! This old brain can only focus on one thing at a time these days.

I have not looked at the Halloween forecast. My only thought of Halloween so far has been that I am elated that the next day is conference day and we have no candy-laden kids coming to school Friday. ;)

The last picture of Hadley was good. The thought of her arrival will have to be what keeps me going this winter, since there's no spring Disney trip to be the dangling carrot. :)

That carload of crazies was having a good time! And Bella's little voice saying everyone was singing was a cute ending.

Just what I was thinking, Pat. Sending good vibes for tomorrow, MeMom! :goodvibes

I will take them. My hour under the microscope is from 9-10, so send those vibes in a big way during that time. If I could just teach without being so aware of the checklist, it would be better. One of my kids didn't have his meds yesterday, and he was climbing on the furniture, crawling on the floor, singing out, making howling noises, etc. Kinda hope he takes his pill this morning. ::yes::

Happy your evaluation is almost over and you can relax. I know what you mean about wanting to do more for your kids. My kids didn't have much either when they were young and I think I try to compensate with my grandkids. The first time I bought the park tickets, it was a surprise. They thought I was just getting them for the grandkids and almost bought their own. Then I just kept buying to help them out and make the trip a little less expensive for them.

Our trip is almost here. We leave on Sunday and we're driving this trip. We've had a rough couple weeks after my 84 year old dad fell off a ladder and dislocated his shoulder. He had surgery but the bone that goes over it is broken too and he can't use it. He is one who doesn't go to the doctor. So after the check-up on his shoulder I talked him into making an appointment as his feet and legs were so swollen. He ended up back in the hospital for a few days because his hemoglobin was so low and he was very weak. He has an ulcer and they also gave him lasix. He goes back Friday and I'm praying everything looks good so I can enjoy our trip. I do have my sister willing to come down and take him to more appointments if he needs them while we are gone. My grandson was over Sat. and couldn't believe I didn't have my suitcases out yet. It's just hard to get excited when I'm so worried.

You're evaluation should be over now...take a deep breath! I know you did a wonderful job!

Congrats on your eval being over! Hope you get to relax a little tonight! I'm sure you were awesome as usual!

Congratulations on the evaluation being over. I'm sure it went well, and I hope you get some time to relax now.

Will be sending good vibes between 9:00 & 10:00.:goodvibes

Thanks, everyone, for the good thoughts. I got a new student this morning about thirty minutes before the observation. He is very talkative and was not shy about being in a new place. Not exactly helpful to the classroom management aspect of things, but at least my furniture climber from yesterday had a normal day. :thumbsup2 Pacing is always my weakness. When I am forced to script a lesson, I always have too much stuff, so I have to try to push it in. I will guess that's what I'll get my lowest points in. If it had been a normal day, I could have continued it on into tomorrow, but again, we have to show an entire lesson and cover all the points on the list in the one session, so you just keep working through it. I doubt I will do as well as last year, because this grader is tougher. Our principal and assistant principal alternate, and it was my year to have the AP. She is easier to talk to, but she's a harder grader. Oh well, it is what it is. At least it is over.

I wish I could pay for everything for every trip for my kids - rooms, tickets, food, and souvenirs.

I hope your dad can feel somewhat better before you leave. It's good that he will have your sister. I know that will be a comfort to him and to you. I do know about wanting to be excited but not being able to get fully into it. I look forward to the day I can be fully excited about trips again when my credit card is lower and I don't feel so stressed about the money.

Glad for you that your eval is over. Have a good rest of the week. Hopefully you can relax this weekend??

Yay, congrats that the eval is over! :cool1: I bet you did great.

Whew, big sigh of relief. It's over! :crazy2: Crossing my fingers for good scores MeMom.

It feels so good to have all the nonsense out of the way until the spring evaluation. ::yes:: Thanks for all the good wishes!

*************************************************

It has been so long since I have put up pictures. Did I end with this turtle table?

If these are repeats - sorry.

Early morning at Mara.

Breakfast yummies.

More appealing - at least to me - yummies.

I think no zebra domes were purchased on this trip.

I love Disney fruit!

One of the goldfish bread sandwiches I have read about.

Hidden cast member.

Putting the fun in elevators.

Just seeing a Disney bus in a picture makes me happy right now.

Televisions at the bus stops, along with water fountains and drink machines. This is not your value resort!

How fun is this?

I better go back and see who is stirring in the village.

I will leave you with this for now, and I promise to do better at updating now that my hours of evaluation stuff are temporarily over.

No, let me change that.
I'll leave you with this little girl, who finally took some real steps today! :cool1:

Thanks for the wonderful update, MeMom.

Special thanks for the breakfast menu at Mara. Marks' and my plan is to stay 7 nights at Kidani next August/September, and we will be going to Mara for a couple of breakfasts and it is good to know what they offer.

I had read Sophie took a few steps today. That is so wonderful. :goodvibes

Tv's at the bus stops?? Wow. Such a beautiful resort. No Zebra Domes?? Love those!

I also read about Sophie taking steps today & got teary eyed reading it!!

AKL is such a beautiful resort; so many great places to explore.

And yay for Ms Sophie! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: What a special milestone.

Happy Halloween!!! I am happy for you that the eval is over and I'm sure you did great! Congrats on the news of another Disney granddaughter!!! We do not have a lot of $ and only get to go to Disney about every 3 years but I do not feel guilty about the $ spent on the trips ever. I am so happy to be able to take my kids there and be a kid myself there! They will grow up and leave home and I will always have those memories  I hope one day I am in the position to take my grown kids and their kids on Disney vacations! Money does not buy happiness but I sure am happy when I spend money on Disney trips!!!

Just came back from the post-conference. She scored me same as and better than all my self scores, so I was more than satisfied. She is the tougher of the two administratrs, too, so I can't compain at all. :thumbsup2

More Disney pictures tonight. Post-conference is done for evaluation and observation, so I am putting on my Mickey ears again. :earsgirl:

Nice bus stops, for sure.

No, I don't think I got zebra domes this time. My pictures may tell a different story later. One trip kind of blurs into another sometimes, and I forget when we did or didn't do something.

It's a great resort! I would recommend it to anyone who was on the fence about it being too far away from everything. It's really no big deal. For us it is especially nice, since we spend a lot of time at Animal Kingdom. The girls enjoyed some animal activities at Jambo. Pictures will be coming soon.

The day you get to take your kids and buy everything from rooms to tickets to food - you will be so thrilled! At least I know I was. It's great to be able to treat your kids to something so special. :)

When I think of taking trips to other places, and then I start adding up the costs, it seems like the total is way too close to what I would spend for a Disney trip, so then I go with the Disney trip after all. :goodvibes

Happy Halloween, MeMom

And to you, as well. Now it is Happy November, which means we have a Thanksgiving break to look forward to. :cool1:

It was windy and raining here last night, so they moved park activities to the mall. I guess they'll consider that that was Halloween, in general, but I still have the feeling that there will be kids out tonight in the neighborhoods making up for the part they didn't get to do last night.
