Our family has come down with the flu, and I had to cancel our trip. We had an AP rate at POR 11/30 - 12/7. Maybe that will help someone.

I'm so sorry this happened. This is always a concern when we book vacations. Sometimes you just don't know when people will be sick or something will happen.

I hope you will be able to begin planning a new trip and that everyone is feeling better real soon!

So sorry your family is sick. That is one of my stresses every year...will everyone we well!! I think we've only ever taken one trip that I haven't been pushing flu meds on someone!!lol...take these meds...you are going to have a good time whether you feel like it or not!!

I am so sorry this has happened to you. I too stress over this imensly every year. I stuff my family with echinacea and vitamin c. They hate it but hopefully it helps. Get better and get on your way down there soon

This doesn't help with the flu, but on the cruise board I learned about Zicam , it is an over the counter medicine that helps end a cold. You use these swabs to apply the medicine in the nose. Not the most delightful way to take medicine, but I am sold after having one daughter use it and recover from her cold in 1 day, then yesterday DH started in with a cold, used this stuff and he is doing fine now. Another DD, refused to use it because she thought it was digusting to use the swabs. She was sick for a week!

Anyway, I had never heard of this stuff. I found it at Walmart, but it was on a lower shelf in the cold medicines (not easy to spot). I haven't used it myself yet, but will at the first sign of my next cold.
