Hi everyone! I just wanted to let you know about my experience with Main Street Megastore. I placed an order with them 2 weeks ago. After placing it, I read a thread where people had had all kinds of problems getting there orders from them. Many had called the BBB. I almost cancelled my order! I decided to give them a chance, and I got my order today, regular mail. Not too bad with the Holiday! They were expensive, but I knew that when I ordered. I got 3 antennae toppers, a pop-up book, a pressed penny book, and a "Christmas in the World" DVD (which is great!) I am sorry others have had trouble with them, but maybe the complaining has helped them get their act together. Lacee
 
Thanks for sharing the positive experience. How did you know what merchandise the store had in stock during the holidays? I could go for a holiday clothing item, but don't know what to choose from.
 
I just went to their website and placed an order. They have a pretty good selection of stuff. I think they have more antenna toppers than anyone else. You could also see what Disneydirect.com has. Happy shopping :D
 
Glad to read of your positive experience.

I considered purchasing something from them, but I felt the item I desired was quite overpriced (I was able to buy the same item for about $40 less elsewhere).

I placed an order with them on Nov 29th and they charged mne right away for the item and the order still shows as processing on thier site.

I have tried contacting them through thier contact us page on the site several times over the past week and a half and have got ZERO RESPONSE from them.

I am currently in the process of disputing the charge, and sent them a note telling them that.

The site is very porr on contact information. No email address, no phone number, only a mail address and a incorrect reference to a "contact us" link at the top right of the page. The webform you have no way if that is getting to anyone.

I will NEVER purchase from them again and TELL EVERYONE I KNOW NOT TO. Even if I end up getting the item overnighted to me at thier cost, and they even give me a credit for some (or all) of the cost!

I placed an order on Nov. 24. The confirmation email says that they will not charge your card until they ship your order. I was charged on Nov. 29 and still have not received anything by Dec. 16. I have sent 2 emails with no responses. It is extremely frustrating to not have any other way of contacting them. I even looked up their info on the BBB and called the phone number listed...surprise, it's disconnected! I don't know what else to do! I might order through WDW mail order, but you know my MSMS order will show up the day after I do that! I had intended my order to be a Christmas gift....how was I to know that one month wasn't enough time for them to get it to me?
I second the last post...I will never order from them again!
 
My Advice is to contact the BBB of New England... My order finally shipped after the BBB tried to make contact several times with no response... I was also charged 2 months before my items shipped.....

I'm with you.. I'll never buy from them again... (Not to mention how expensive they are!)
 
Actually, I didn't think that MSMS was unreasonably priced. I ordered a RnRC tshirt that was $25.90 + shipping. (not that it counts for much since I don't have it!)

I just got off the phone with WDW mail order and apparently the shirt I ordered is no longer available. It's no excuse for the lack of communication and charging my card, but I wonder if that's why I'm having this problem.
 
I would be suprised if that is shy you are having that problem... There is starting to be a pattern of similar experiences just on this board. There were a few of us back in November who had this happen to them. My CC was charged on Sept. 2nd and I didn't receive my items until mid November.. I sent numerous emails and not once did I receive the courtesy of a response.. As for the expensive part... I wanted to order my nieces autograph books for them to take on thier trip... They are $12.99... When I visited the World of Disney Store in NYC they were half of that.. I jsut figured I couldn't find them so I got suckered into buying them....

It looks like MSMS credited my card back for my purchase. The website says that my order was cancelled because the product isn't available. Still no correspondence from them, but at least I have my money back!
 
I'm also in the middle of a battle with these guys. I FINALLY found a working email adddress... ordering@mainstreetpins.com
Still getting the run-around, though. I'm giving them a (second) chance to make it right, but I'm growing rather impatient.
 
I would seriously consider geeting in touch with the BBB... Besides trying to inform people before making a purchase I think it may be the only way this poor business will get a clue... This is completely unacceptable!
 
I am soo glad I found this thread! Now I know I'm not alone. My card was charged for a t-shirt on Dec 7, and it hasn't arrived yet. So much for that Christmas gift. :mad:
 
OH MY GOSH!!! i thought i was the only one having problems with them, I placed an order back in September, and it still says processing, i thought that maybe i did something, wrong, so I ordered again in early december (i order the same stuff hoping to get it soon) and still no response, no nothing i have no clue what to do, any suggestions will be welcomed.

I would start wallpapering them with emails to every address you can think of. Try ordering@mainstreetpins.com ordering@mainstreetmegastore.com guestservices@mainstreetmegastore.com

As with any complaint -- be polite, but firm. Let them know what you expect to be done and how soon. Also make sure they know you ordered the items twice so you don't get billed twice. The company has told me they are facing extreme overload from holiday orders, and will hopefully overhaul their system soon. I think I am finally making some progress with them -- gotta wait to see if the order ships, though. I'll advise what the outcome is.
 
I've also had problems with mainstreetmegastore.com. I placed two orders, 12/8 and 13/04. Confirmation e-mails said I would not be charged until the orders were ready to ship. My credit cards were charged the days the orders were confirmed! Numerous "contact us" e-mails were sent with no response. I was very excited with all the neat things I found at this site, but their lack of common courtesy leaves me totally disgusted! I just notified them that I am filing a dispute with my credit card company to remove the charges from my account until I receive the merchandise. I'll also be filing a complaint with the BBB. Looks like if I want anything special from Disney, I'll have to take the drive down to Florida. At least that's an option I can live with!!! Thanks to all of your postings, I know that (unfortunately) I'm not alone!
 
I am truly sorry that so many of you guys have had trouble with MSMS. YES, if I were you I would complain, call the BBB, and do anything else I could to get things right. Pixie dust to all of you who are still fighting this battle :wizard: I decided to give them a try as they had some items that I really wanted. Those of you still having problems, please post and let us know how it all works out.
 
well after the post above with the BBB page on them I went there and submitted a complaint with the BBB on the site.

I then used the email address from the BBB site and emaile dthem telling that I had tried contacting them three times with NO KIND of response. I let them know they would be hearing from the BBB about my complaint.

I also just filled out the form to dispute the carge with the card company, and will be sending it in tomorrow.

I still have not heard from ANY of my FOUR contact attempts!

Hi,

I'm currently on the phone with my VISA carrier. I placed an order with Main St. Megastore (MSM) 8 Dec. I was billed 12 Dec, and yes, my order status is still today 12/30 1pm here in Ohio, "processing." I've sent 3 e-mails over the past week and none have been answered.

My VISA rep tried to contact the vendor and he told me that their (MSM) customer service phone number has been disconnected.

Obviously, I've contested the charge!
