My MIL just got one this week and loves it. She has brought it over to my house for us to try. (We have mainly hardwood & ceramic floors in our house - more allergy friendly.) It seems to work great - no cleaner needed, no smells, etc. I'm a little worried still about using it on the hardwood even though it claims it's safe for them as long as they are sealed.

Just wondering if anyone has tried one yet?

How well did it clean the ceramic floor? I mean did it clean the grout really well. I have a very high traffic house hold and man oh! man can my floor get dirty in a week.

My side door entrance, mud room and kitchen are all in the same area and well the dirt just keeps coming in. So would you recommend it for a high traffic area?

I have never tried it but my friend got one for xmas and loves how it cleaned her furniture!!

My dd has the mop and hardwood floors and loves it - she is greatful not to be putting down any cleaners on the floor with her 2 little tots crawling now.

My H2O mop broke after about a month. It stopped steaming and would just dump out water onto our floor.:sad1: I ended up buying the shark steam mop and have been very pleased. I use it on tile and hardwood floor.

I bought the shark deluxe. Needed the extra feet in cord.

I do like it, I use it on my tile floor. It's very easy to use. Steams up in seconds.

What I don't like about it, is that I need to keep filling the water (I use distilled water). I have a large area of tile. I change the pad and use another as I clean the floor and then throw them all into the wash. I use about three pads cleaning the area. It's a high traffic area.

What I do recommend is:

1. First clean your floor on your hands and knees very thoroughly before beginning use. :crazy2:

2. Make sure everyone takes their shoes off before entering the house. This alone saves you the maintenance on cleaning the floor. :thumbsup2

**The steam cleaner should be used as a maintenance tool mostly.

I use it at least one to two times a week. The tile and grout stay beautifully only if you keep up a routine scheduled.

I love it. I haven't had to get on my hands and knees since I bought it 6 weeks ago. My floors look beautiful.:cool1:

Hope this helps.

I agree with Soulsearching. I've had the shark for almost a year and it still works great. We walk around in our white socks and they don't get dirty at all.
