I read somewhere that there will only be one water park open in
November, does anyone know which one? and is it warm enough
for them in Nov? Thanks!!:sunny:

there usually is one closed for refurbishment when we go at Thanksgiving, but it has varied. I think if you e-mail Disney, or check their website you should be able to tell.
We are from up North, so we can swim almost any time, even in January and February. A lot depends on the weather, since it will probably be in the 60's and 70's, but people do swim in November.

When we went Nov 2002, BB was the only park that was open. Also, I thought I read somewhere that usually BB is the one that is quite often open in November. Temps when we went (11/16/2002 - 11/23/2002) were in the upper 70s low 80s. We did have to change going to the water park one day, because it was too cool, but then we just went the next day.

That's how it worked when we were there this past November. One of the water parks (I can't remember which) was closed for refurb.

Weather will be hit or miss. It was 85 degrees and sunny for the first two days we were there, then a front moved through and it was 65 degrees the next day and 75 degrees the day after that. The water park probably would have been fine for half the trip, but I wouldn't have wanted to be in them for the second half!

Used to be pretty consistent that Typhoon Lagoon would close in the Nov / Dec timeframe, and Blizzard Beach in Jan / Feb. However, last year they switched the schedule. TL had some physical construction work planned as well, and by schedule its rehab second, they wouldn't run into additional conflicts with BB if the TL rehab ran longer than expected.

Additionally, there is a long-standing rumor that Typhoon Lagoon may ADD a couple of new attractions this winter. If so, one can theorize that its rehab may again be scheduled after BB.

In the end, I think the only way to really know for sure is to wait for the schedule. Rest assured that one of the two will be open when you visit, and they both have their charms.
