I always bring a power strip with me, too. It works beautifully with keeping everyone's chargers in one place.
Yes, because having to run to Target to replace a lost charger while on vacation is a pain!
I agree the overnight bag is wonderful for that one night at a different hotel. I love the idea of just grabbing one bag instead of unloading everything out of the car late at night just to pack it back up early the next morning.
It makes life so much easier!
The overnight bag is a great tip! We have a 13 hour drive. It is the only part of our trip that I am dreading.

Yes, our drive is about 13 hours also. I bet we could share some funny road trip stories! Ill have to post about that one day.

Thanks for the idea!
Just me, DS 11 and DD 8. We are going to be there the same time you will.
Isnt it exciting to go in the Spring?
Any tips on going on rides with an odd number? My fear is having one wait while I am riding with the other.
When I took the kids on their first trip to Disney, getting split up on rides was one of my biggest fears too. I found that the issue never came up! On rides like Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Buzz Lightyears Space Ranger Spin and Primeval Whirl, the CMs just squeezed all 3 of us into one car together.

(JK it was never that crowded. We were comfortable. I just always wanted an excuse to use that smilie! LOL) On Space Mountain, it was a non-issue because that is a 3 seat per car ride. On things like Splash Mountain and Expedition Everest, my son sat in a row by himself (or with a single rider) while my daughter and I sat together. Same thing with rides like Dumbo and Tricera Top Spin, but they always let Chip have a car by himself instead of going with another rider. On our next trip, I was a little worried about Rock n Roller Coaster because my daughter was finally tall enough to ride and my son had never been on it before. But sometimes my daughter rode with me and sometimes she rode with her brother! I didnt think the CMs would let 2 kids sit together! So the CMs always had a way of working things out for us.
My only tip would be to make sure your oldest understands ahead of time that there are going to be times that he will have to ride by himself instead of with you. It will save a lot of frustration believe me!

There were a few times in the beginning of our first trip when Chip was VERY upset that I kept riding with Minnie and I could never just ride with him and SHE could ride by herself! But eventually, he understood.
They will ask how many is in your group and place you together. If for some reason they try to split you just ask to stay together, even if you have to way until the next loading cycle.
Exactly! Luckily, this never happened to us when we were at Disney because we were there in the off season both times, but it did happen when we were at Hershey Park. It was me, my kids and all 4 of my sibs. There were quite a few times that we had to ask to wait a cycle so that we could all be on the same ride together. We actually left one sibling behind on a ride one time and the rest of us felt so bad! We had to wait a few ride cycles before we saw him get off of the ride. From then on, we would joke and hold hands while waiting for rides. Picture that! A bunch of Thirty-somethings and Twenty-somethings holding hands in a ride queue!
