Hello,
Where can we get the Guest of Honor badges? Do you get them before you leave for WDW, or do you get them AT WDW? Thank you!:smooth:

You can do either. Gifts of a lifetime (giftsofalifetime.com)has them available before you go or you can get them once you arrive.
I believe they are available in every park but here's the ones I remember. MK used to have a cart next to Tony's - not sure if it's still there - and MGM has them at the 5&10. I've also seen them at DD.

I just received mine today. I love them. I am sure they are cheaper at the parks, but since I am going with a large group, I didn't want to have everyone standing around while they were making up seventeen of them. Also, I am putting them into goodie bags I am making up to give everyone before we go, and to be perfectly honest, once I saw them, I couldn't wait six months to get them.

At least as of this past January, they were $5 at MGM. That includes your name custom engraved.

I got them through Gifts of a Lifetime before we went on our December trip. The cm's really paid attention to my kids 5 and 3.

The guest of honor badges are great we have been wearing the same ones for 6 years and my kids always seem to get special attention. The always get called by their names which makes a meeting with Cinderella very special.:jester:

I bought my kids GOH badges from gifts of a lifetime before we went this year.
My husband who is a police officer thought it was a really stupid and dangerous idea, but I did it anyway. (how unusual). The cms called the kids by their first names they were sung to by name at the Diamond Horseshoe .
When we were getting ready for the 2nd day at the park my husband checked to make sure they all had their badges on.
I`m getting one for my husband next year.
None of the characters wrote the kids names in the autograph book though. :D

I bought them from gifts of a life time. I choose to do this as I too was making little gift bags up for the children in the group last dec. I them bougth them for all the adults in the party. All of the adults did wear them. We had a great time with them. Not only do the CM's call the children by name, but they will call the adults by name also. It is really nice when you are eating or anything to be call by name. We also meet some very nice people who thought we were some inportant people with name badges and we would have to explain no we were not. :D   :jester: ;) :smooth: :p

I'll be giving my MIL hers for Mothers Day. 9 yr son will be getting his next week for his birthday along with EpCot passport, character pen and pressed penny book. Husband will be getting his for Fathers Day and of course I ordered one for myself. Thank you Gifts of a Lifetime.

I am almost positive that we got ours at downtown disney. I have also seen them at the entrance to Mk.

Last year they were for sale at Downtown Disney at an open-air shop, octagonal shaped (is it called "Captain's Tower"?). They only sold the pre-engraved ones, no custom engraving. And they didn't have a very big selection of names-they didn't have mine, which isn't an unusual name. Cost was the same ($5) as the custom engraved ones.

Planning on going to WDW & celebrating my DS Bday. Are GOH badges the same as "Birthday Badges"? I read somewhere that you can go to town hall & tell them it is your Bday & you get a special badge. Are they 1 of the same or different?

Thanks!

Guest of Honor badges are not the same as Birthday badges.

We got a GoH badge for my dd at MGM - in the 'main street' as you walk in. We looked all over for them in Magic Kingdom and couldn't find them, eventually a CM phoned around for me and told me they only have them in a small shop in Tomorrowland called Ursula Major Minor (I think that's right). As we weren't heading that way, we waited until MGM the following day to get them.

I think it was $5 for a pre-engraved one - and they really made a difference, all the CM's went out of their way to read the badge and call my dd by her name. We also placed a label on the back with her contact info so that if she got lost they would know who her parents were. (She knows all this, but is likely to freeze if she is upset or scared)

I thought it was well worth the $5.

We got one at that shop on the main st. in MGM that does custom embroidery. It was $5.

I saw them last week in Downtown Disney at the MarketPlace in the Christmas shop. They were in the back where they do the engraving.

They're badges with either Mickey, Minnie or Pooh that say "Guest of Honor" and a name. I got one each for DW & DD last week at the store in MGM that does engraving. You can take one off the rack or they will make one custom.
