Tim - ALRIGHT ... Another Yankee Fan!!

Down here in Phillies country is was quite a WS last year ... I was teased big time after after we lost the first WS game ... my DD had the nerve to root for the Phillies!! I ALMOST felt bad for the fans here ... I mean I like them, just not when they are playing the yanks!

I've been to several WS games - what 'bout you?

I'll come back and respond to everyone later. Just wanted to report that we booked our rental car. We got it for $380 for a standard with an upgrade to a full size for the 12 days we are there (we originally started at around $800). I didn't have to put a credit card or anything (it's Alamo which we've used in the past and we don't give them credit card until we get there); this way I can keep checking back for a cheaper price yet. But $400 off what they were originally going for suits me just fine.

Saturday Mia and I are going to a Mall about an 1 1/2 from here to a nice Dillards -when I was checking the mall website, guess what I saw? DISNEY STORE!!!! Haven't been to one in at least 6 years!!! I am sooo excited!!

When I graduated HS, I was living in Blue Bell, PA (Plymouth Meeting/Norristown area.) We moved a few times when I was younger, but always around Philly. My Mom's side of the family is all from Montgomery County, so I'd pretty much be disowned if I rooted for any other team

Small world! Poor Bills, I think I heard that ESPN ranked them 31 out of 32? Ouch. For about a year I completely despised the Bills (I had an ex who was a jerk and a huge Bills fan!) But I think I'm over that now! I keep debating whether I should go see them at Training Camp!


Oh, and Kathy, I meant to mention it before, but got carried away, sorry! I think paying off the trip deserves a little dancing, no?

Thanks, Amy. It is such a load off my shoulders. The cough is getting better and better each day. The ribs--better, but not great.

Yep, we are DIEHARD fans even if they do su**. They really are terrible this year. My youngest son is a Cubs fan, but he also pulls for the Yankees. The only team we won't root for is the dreaded Chicago White Sox!

Incidentally, I'm less than two hours outside of the city, too. And for those of us that close the city can only mean NYC! Although, Kathy, I have to say that your dear Grumpy has a point...
