I love this talk of a NYC meet! I will buy Mark a hat too!
This fall the new big Disney store is supposed to open on Times Square...that would be a FUN meet!

Just wanted to say:
Vacation Paid in Full Today!!!!
Let us all know when you do come!! I would love a DIS meet in the City.
When I graduated HS, I was living in Blue Bell, PA (Plymouth Meeting/Norristown area.) We moved a few times when I was younger, but always around Philly. My Mom's side of the family is all from Montgomery County, so I'd pretty much be disowned if I rooted for any other team![]()
Weren't we just talking about this on my TR? I am definitely in for a NYC DISmeet. How great would that be!
Another highjack - Its a small world - I lived here right after I graduated highschool (Springfield Township MONTCO) and I attended Montgomery County Community College. My parents still live there so I am a frequent visitor!
Hi Kathy! Just a side note: I'm from Montco too! Small world getting smaller! Grew up in Glenside then moved to Hatfield for High School, went to Montco for college, worked in Blue Bell for a few years, and now live in Harleysville! I think that covers it all!![]()

Incidentally, I'm less than two hours outside of the city, too. And for those of us that close the city can only mean NYC!Although, Kathy, I have to say that your dear Grumpy has a point... I've been to Chicago and, in many ways, liked it better than NYC. People are a LOT more friendly out there!
Very close... 1 1/4 hours to Yankee Stadium!
Yes we do!
I've never been to Chicago (just the airport) but he is probably right! :rotfl2
Is there another City?![]()

Kat: We (the NYers and NY lovers) will hold you to that. Tell Mark I get him a new hat of his choice if he comes too
A new hat? That might make a difference.

Thanks, Karin. I'm so glad to have it paid off. Now, hopefully I can come up with the money for the tickets for the party.

Kathy - congrats on paying off your trip!!!!![]()
Thanks, Mary Ellen.

Yep! Talk is going on there and here! WHEN is the big question!
MEK: I work about 10 minutes from the college!! My son is going there in the fall, I kiddingly suggested we could carpool, but not didn't go over well
Kat: Hope your health is continuing to improve (and Mark too) and those ribs feel better.
Happy Friday everyone!!
Montgomery County UNITE!I used to drive by MCCC everyday on my way to school! (I went to Wissahickon!)
Kathy: when I was at college (I went to Valpo) I was forced to choose between the two Chicago teams. It wasn't accepted for me to say, "Go Phillies?" Chicago is definitely a baseball town. I picked the White Sox, but there really wasn't a rhyme or reason, don't hate me!
I have SOMEHOW lost all control my PTR!No, I won't hate you for cheering for the White Sox; I have a lot of friends who have led a sheltered life and were steered in the wrong direction and support that team. But I still love them.
Hi Kathy! I've been off the dis for about a year. I was excited to see you are going this fall to Disney. So glad you and Mark are feeling better. I'm hoping to get back to the World next fall. My youngest DS (Marco, who still loves that an Island has his name) only wants to stay at CSR again. Can't wait to hear all about your trip!

Welcome; I've missed you. I still love that your son thinks Marco is named after him. That is just too precious. I can't wait until we go...Mark and I both need a vacation.

Hi Kathy,
Just checking in to see how you are doing this morning. Do you feel any better? Did you end up going to the ER?
Sending you.
I'm here, Kathy!! I had a great weekend! And my week is shaping up to be incredibly busy! Starting with a visit by 6 Chinese guests in just a couple hours!! YIKES!! Rest well, my friend, you need to get better!!
Woah wait a minute! What did I miss....something about your ribs? What happened?
You and Tate had a good weekend from your PTR. How did the visit with the 6 Chinese guests go?
Slept really well last night--first time in a long time.
Hi, Lisa. As I think you knew, right before Mark's surgery I came down with a cold. I coughed so hard the Sunday after his surgery that I bruised my ribs. Turns out I had a bacterial infection. The infection is gone, cough is better. However, I sneezed the other day really hard and bruised my ribs further. I was in dire pain on Friday and Saturday and was going to go to emergency on Sunday if it got any worse. Luckily, they were feeling much better yesterday. I talked to my doctor and she said they could take a month or two to heal. It's tough getting "old."
