Any suggestions?
About two dozen or so adults, mixed ages, for work.
We're looking for something creative, entertaining, CHEAP, and easy to make.

Thanks in advance!!!!!

Why not try to be alphabet soup? Get some red shirts and each pick a letter to put on your shirt. Try to spell out some words.

a pack a crayons....everyone could be a different color

or

a pack of cards...

Oh, those are good! For the crayons, you're right - we wouldn't even need costumes. Just dress in different colors! And, okay, maybe a sign or name tag that said "Crayola - Red" or "Crayola - Cyan" or whatever :teeth:

You could just get some iron ons. and print out the crayola logo.

Here's a rough idea....

I know around this time of year, you can usually find all sorts of sweat pants at wal-mart for cheap. They usually have an array of colors. Then find a matching t-shirt.
Or just go for the shirts, and along the back put the color name, and the logo on the front. I think the squiggly line is important though.

A set of encyclopedias.

Everybody has a box. Our old world book was white with green trim. Make up your own divisions to write on the spine so that it works out with the number of people in your group.

I think the thing that makes a set of crayons work is simple hats. Roll a square of felt into a cone, hot glue it together, add a piece of elastic or ribbon to tie it on under the chin.

Our go to, super easy costume is Black Eyed Peas. Use black make-up to surround an eye and then put a "P" on your shirt.

I've always wanted to have a group of adults dress as characters from Saturday Night Live. Lots of options!

Halloween is a big deal at my work. In past years we have been:

Pirates. White t-shirts frayed on the sleeves and bottoms with scap material for belts and to tie on your head. Talk like a pirate just for fun!

Doctors. Scrubs are cheap or borrowed ones are even cheaper and they are comfy too.

High School Year Book. This one was really fun. Everybody tried to dress and do there hair similar to how they were in high school. It was a lot of fun!We had people that graduated in the 60s 70s 80s and 90s

Pajama Party. Everyone wore there PJ's

Tailgate Party. This was dual purpose. We had a potluck and everyone wore there favorite team gear. Food & Costumes.

How about the prize patrol from Publisher's Clearing House? Someone carries a big check, someone else balloons, dress in suits, carry cameras, tell everyone congratulations and take pics handing them the big check.

I saw that somewhere and thought it was a great idea. I personally haven't had the opportunity...

Well, since fall is approaching - how about bags of leaves?

Very Very Very cheap to make.

Black pants or tights and black Turtleneck or long sleeve shirt and black shoes

Black Contractors Trash Bags

Length of Twine

Some glue

Tissue Paper or Newspaper to stuff bag

A few bobby pins or old barrets

Leaves from your trees or silk leaves from a craft store - depends on your budget and squeamishness.

Cut holes in bags to match where your arms and legs would go thru the bag. Glue a few leaves on each bag near the top and on the bobby pins/barrettes (put these leaves in your hair. Cut dashed lines in the bag at the top and thread the twine thru to secure the bag at the shoulders.

Have another person or couple of persons dress in old clothes and gloves and carry a rake.

Could also be done with trash and a broom

I love these - thanks! My coworkers will go along with anything that will cost them little/nothing in the way of both time and money :rotlf:

On year, at my old company, our group was the Geek Squad from Best Buy. We all wore our own white button downs, black pants and printed out the logo from a website and taped it to the front of our shirts. Cheap, easy and I guess kinda boring...but hey...it was fun!

watched on HGTV where a bunch of ladies dressed as different witches:Pretty, ugly, good, gothic, short, tall, classy, sexy, scary etc..

Last year we saw many groups of adults at the Halloween party at DL. One that I will NEVER forget was a group I saw on ToT. they got their own "car", and I was watching the photos, waiting for my group. Their photo was a riot!

They were dressed as Germans, or Swiss maybe. The woman had on the dresses, like St Pauli girls, the braids, etc. The men had on the suspenders and linderhosen, etc. For the photo, they all posed, with their arms bent, like they were dancing. I have a picture of it somewhere. They came off the ride, and they were all singing some crazy song, and they appeared to be having a blast! And they all bought the photos, too.

Tourists. We did it as a group of 15 one year. Bright shirts, sneakers and khakis. As the coordinator I ran out and bought 2 bags of cheap party leis.

It was the easiest thing. Plus, it didn't hinder ability to perform any tasks that day.

A large department at my work last year dressed like 101 dalmations and the department head dressed like Cruella (sp?) it was really cool.
