Groceries?

Hi everyone,

We will be staying at WL 5/14 - 5/21 and have requested a refrigerator. We are NOT renting a car. Is there an easy way to get to a mini-mart or someplace to get milk, fruit etc to stock the fridge?

You can buy milk at the resort, there's not really anyplace close/convenient that doesn't require either a cab ride or a fairly long walk.

If you get towncar transportation from the airport to your resort, you can request a grocery stop. Not all towncar services do this and you do have to request it ahead of time. I think there is also a shopping service that will deliver to your resort. It's wegoshopping.com I think. I have not used this but some of the vets on this board have so I'm sure it is reputable. Buying stuff at the resort will probably be pretty expensive. Hope this helps! Have a magical vacation!

My family uses the Tiffany Town Car to get to and from the airport. Included is a 20-30 minute grocery stop if you request it at the time of booking your transportation. We pick up water, bananas, cereal, wine, snack stuff and milk (if we time it right!). We enjoy not driving for a week while staying at WL.

That said, I don't see the grocery stop listed on their web site, www.tiffianytowncars.com I would call the 800 number to check to see if they still do it. I do know of friends who used it this past November during Thanksgiving Week.

The Mercantile at the WL also sells some groceries but of course they are expensive and fruit is available at Roaring Forks, the counter service.

If you research it, let us know what you find out.

I've also read about wegoshop on the boards - they deliver to your resort for you. I plan on using them in May as I don't anticipate feeling like a grocery stop at midnight when we arrive

I checked out the We Go Shop site and it seems ok. You have to know what you want. There's no list to pick from.

If I didn't use Fl Tours and needed groceries I think I'd give them a try.
