Still trying to figure out if a 1st week of Dec. trip would be worth it...has anyone gone to Universal during the Grinchmas attraction? Was it much of anything? My DH and I would be there with our 8 y.o. son. Also, do any of the on-site hotels typically have any discounts around that time?
Thanks!
Karla B. (never been to Universal yet, but want to give it a go!)

I saw Grinchmas in Dec. 2001. It was an outdoor staged show. It was very entertaining. It had most of the characters of the movie. You child should enjoy it. I went with my 70yo DMom and we both enjoyed it. That part of the park is very well decorated, very colorful. I got a deal on the park tickets that year from the hotel, it was not advertised, I went to the front desk to get a ticket for my Mom and they told me they were selling 2-day 2park tickets for $50! It was a great deal. Since it wasn't advertised, its hard to say whether its done on a regular basis. Maybe someone who has gone more recently can say whether this deal was offered again. Good luck! Hope you have a good trip.

We've gone to Grinchmas the last 2-years and my kids love it (because they love the Grinch Movies).

*All of Suess Landings is decorated will Christmas decorations.
*They have the Grinches Lair were you can talk to the Grinch 1-on-1 & have your picture taken (by the way the Grinch is so funny and my kids thought it was great talking to him).
*They have a Sled Ride (Mt. Crumpit Plummit??or something like that). Which is fun, but make sure you go on this first thing.
*They have the Whoobilation stage show, that tells a shortened version of the movie.
*And they have several Who's that walk around.

I may be missing something, but I think that's about it. It is very festive in Suess Landing.

In they past, I was able to get great rates w/ my Entertainment card ($119 RPR & $129 HRH0, so you may want to see if they have any rates for your dates (it may be worth buying the book). I now have an AP which probably has the best discounts.

But they do have discounts during this time of year.

Hope this helps!

Thanks, it sounds just like the kind of thing I was hoping optimistically it would be. I didn't realize how booked everything is already for early Dec.(just got off the phone with Universal), so now I'm thinking of doing the trip next year...gives me time to save EVERYTHING we need for the trip so I'm not tempted to pull out a credit card!
Thanks again!
