grilled cheese sandwich

Earl of Sandwich in DTD has one on the kids menu. If you're a foodie, disneyfoodblog shows an "adult" grilled cheese at Captain Cooks at the Poly (with pic). From their review:

Personally, I knew I had to get that yummy Grown-Up (or “Adult”) Grilled Cheese sandwich! It features cheddar, swiss, and Boursin cheeses and is served on multi-grain sunflower bread — amazing!! The tangy strength of the cheeses paired with that yummy sunflower bread is a perfect marriage of comfort food and new tastes

Grilled cheese AND a Dole Whip = yum! :yay:

Sarah over at Eating WDW just reviewed the six-cheese grilled cheese at Beaches and Cream this week. There are pictures here.

I second the grown up grilled cheese at Captain Cooks (Polynesian). I made so many when I got back last year that I'm pretty sick of them, but they are fantastic!

The Plaza has an adult grilled cheese that is not on the menu, good but a typical grilled cheese just made larger with 3 slices of bread like the club. They also have a kids grilled cheese as does Captain Cook's along with the adult grilled cheese.

Whispering CC has a grilled cheese on the new lunch menu. The Wave at The Contemporary has a grilled cheese on the kids menu. The Brown Derby has a grilled cheese on the kids menu. All I can think of for now.

Very good to know. We are eating here and I read a lot of reviews about how fantastic their tomato soup is and was sad to see no grilled cheese to go with it.

We tend to like the ones that are a little different but all have been good.
The Brown Derby has apples, The Poly adult has several kinds of cheese on a great multigrain bread. Brown Derby is on the kids menu but my family will order 1 of the Cobb salads and 4 of the Grilled Cheeses and no one has ever questioned us. Frankly, in August when it is 100 degrees and i am going to be walking around for hours I have no desire to eat a filet or anything heavy like that. My big complaint about the menu sorry a pet peeve.

Oh, all the small children in our group adored The Wave's grilled cheese as it was on rainbow colored bread.

I love the grown up grilled cheese at Captain Cooks at the Poly!! My daughter gets the kids grilled cheese there as well and we both get tomato soup. And then you can get a dole whip for dessert - bonus :thumbsup2

this :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

not big eaters to begin with, but certainly not in the heat :):)

I had a grilled cheese sandwich at Beaches and Cream. I told my server that I wanted a big sundae, so I was looking for something that wasn't too filling for a main course. He offered to make me a grilled cheese sandwich-no fries. I think it cost less that $5, and left room for my sundae! You can always ask.

We were at Tambu Lounge and went down to Capt cooks and brought back a kids grilled cheese and chips. It was great. But like I said we were at TL.....maybe I am missremembering?! :lmao:

I have to say I was surprised at the lack of grilled cheese options overall. That's my 2-year-old's go-to and we struggled. It's especially surprising given how ubiquitous it is outside of the world!

My son declared the Grilled Cheese on the kids menu at Cooke's of Dublin the best grilled cheese ever!

My dd gets the grilled cheese all the time at the Plaza, and it is correct that there is one that's a double-decker as one poster had mentioned. Here is a photo - my dd had it and they only charged me for the kids' (the server had suggested it after asking my dd how hungry she was ;))...

we have ever tried was at Chefs de France. It is a grilled ham and cheese and it was big enough to split for two adults, especially if you add the French onio soup. It was amazingly good!
