After our last trip to the world, and after suggestions from the disboards, we tried the Grey Goose Shushies in France. We loved them and would love to be able to make some here, they would be perfect on hot summer nights. Does anyone have a recipe or know where we can find it?

Thanks!

According to a bartender in the know...

1 liter (1 quart) Grey Goose Citron Vodka
250 ml (1 cup) lemon/lime sour mix
lots of ice

Blend with ice (or swirl in a slushy machine) until drink has an “ice slushy” texture.

Might try frozen lemonade instead of sour mix. I know Barcardi has lime and strawberry for margaritas but I use frozen Minutemaid limeade(or any brand thats cheap), its a lot cheaper than Barcardi Brand.

Isn't that just the most refreshing thing on a HOT Disney Day ????

We love them.....If only they we're not $8.00 ea !!!

What the ratio and do add any water or is it just alcohol and limeade mix?

I used to tend bar.

We used crystal light lemonade instead of sour mix. just follow the directions on the package. If you like a little more tang add a dash of roses lime juice.

Dare I dream? Yes, I do... would anyone happen to have the recipe for the Grand Marnier Slushy?

I'll go a bit more "in depth" then with the original recipe, and throw in the Grand Marnier for extra points ;)

Grey Goose Citron Vodka Slushie

3 cups Grey Goose Citron Vodka
1 cup Lemon Frozen Drink Mix
Ice if making in a blender, water (as directed) if not making slush

Mix vodka and lemon mix. It helps to chill the mix before putting in a blender. Add the required amount of water for your mix as directed on the can or package. If making in a blender use enough ice to produce the slushie effect. Frozen Minute Maid lemonade works well from my experience.

Grand Marnier Orange Slush

3 cups Grand Marnier
1 cup Orange Fruit Smoothie / Orange Dreamsicle

Same instructions as for the Lemon Slush.

WOW:scared1: After reading about here on the boards I put it on my must do list for this Oct. But $8!!! Yikes!!! I think I'll use the recipes here and just drink my old fav at EPCOT Becks Octoberfest.

I tried the recipe as listed and found it not to be quite the ticket. I increased the ratio of sour mix and added some sugar to make it more palatable, but it wasn't really like the ones from France. Glad I made a small batch. I may try it with the frozen lemonade next.

Yeah, tell me about it... $19 for a 350ml made me cough and sputter a bit! I wanted to give the recipe every opportunity to match the ones in France, so I got it anyhow. I don't think there is a huge difference in taste amongst quality Vodkas, so you should be able to make substitutions. Grey Goose is French, so that's why they use it in the slushy.

Just alcohol and limeade but if its for the grey goose slushie I'd do lemonade. I have a friend that is a bartender and she always said its rare to find a good sour mix. For my margaritas I use half a can of the tequilla to the full can of frozen limeade.

3 cups of alcohol? are you sure its not 3 oz? that sounds like a lot of alcohol. Don't get me wrong I am willing to try it ;)

I can't wait to try this-it sounds like the perfect summer evening drink by the pool!!
