We are only our count down to stay at the Polynesian the end of October.

I saw you got an upgrade. Did you have a garden view before you got upgraded? I take it you didn't have a room request then? I can't decide what to do. Part of me wants to request but part of me is also hoping for pixie dust and an upgrade to concierge.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I had reserved a standard garden view room. I did not make any requests other than a third floor room. The upgrade was a surprise.

The injustice is that I want to move out of my home and move into the Poly resort! Ha Ha

Congrats on the upgrade! We were there at the same time! Sept 8-15. We were upgraded to lagoon view, had booked Garden, in Hawaii. It was wonderful...our second stay at Poly Concierge and magical the whole time!

Wow, I cant wait to stay there in 23 days, for the first time. I have a standard view booked, and I am wishing every night for an upgrade to lagoon view. I know I will love the Poly either way though. My mom and I have been saving for almost a year now to stay heres, so no matter what, I know it will be awesome!!

Congrats on the upgrade! We will be at the Poly next Friday. Sure an upgrade would be nice....I think once I get there it won't matter. I think I've spent enough energy wondering what building we will get, what view, blah blah blah. I will be on vacation, not at work at WDW & the Poly. I feel some nice tropical drinks coming my way while I gaze at the castle. Aaahhhh!!!

The garden views at the Poly are especially nice and I'm sure that you will not be disappointed. If you are truly eager for a water view, you might want to request the side of Fiji that faces the marina. That is considered garden view even though it offers a water view, including a partial Lagoon view.

I do remember you! I thought of our July meeting several times during my stay at the Poly. And I thought of you in particular because I had two gift baskets this time---one from the Poly concierge and the other from my travel agent. I had so many treats that I did not bother trick-or-treating at MNSSHP! LOL

I spent a week (9/10-9/17) at the Poly and had a wonderful time. This was my second stay at the Poly. The magic began when I checked in and learned that I had been upgraded to the concierge building! What an amazing treat! I had never stayed concierge level before and enjoyed every minute of it. The staff was very helpful and the food and beverage offerings in the lounge were delicious.

My garden view room was clean and in excellent condition. I enjoyed sitting on the balcony and taking in the pretty view.

I have stayed at some nice hotels and resorts in the USA and Europe and the Poly is my favorite. The ambiance is so relaxing and tropical. The resort is gorgeous and the people staying there are happy. I'm already looking forward to returning in 2008!

The grounds are gorgeous. It's wonderful to be able to see Cinderella Castle from the Volcano Pool!

I know the feeling....going in July. What longhouse do you like the best? I have 6 months before our trip...hope to stay in one of the nicer longhouses. Your pix are really great. I plan on doing more picture taking this next trip and posting pix after our trip. I saved your pix and thread and have several other Poly threads saved....always go back to your pix.
