We had a great rate with Dollar with a full size at $296.00 November 13 (10:30pm) to November 28 (5:50pm). We have invited SIL and Nephew and now have 6 people. Just booked a minivan with Dollar using KISS code for $551.00. We don’t have AMEX.

Any thoughts or ideas?

While I'm looking... might I suggest you guys just rent 2 cars????? Although definitely "annoying", it will be significantly cheaper.

Thanks for that advice FY. That did cross my mind, but SIL is not the type that would want to drive anywhere at WDW. I find it rather easy, however I drive alot.

Thanks.

try bidding on priceline and before you do check out hotwire to see what the going rate is for your vehicle type and dates. Bid at least 30% lower or more. but be sure your dates and pickup/drop off location and type of vehicle is correctbecause once your bid is accepted it is yours!

The other thought is for most of you to take ME and only one or two of you to take the rental care. check rates for a premium cars that should hold six passengers .....for getting around in.

I've never tried priceline. Can a specify inside terminal pick-up only?

Priceline uses the 5 major companies

hertz, avis, national, alamo and budget

I used priceline for our trip to san Fran this past summer and ended up with Avis for 6 days- I believe it was $130 for a full size car. I did do a little peeking - I dont think a premium car would be big enough- it says 5 people- dont know if you would have a seat belt for the middle in the front- you would be taking a gamble on that so you will need to get something for 6 people. I do know for my trips to Arizona this winter (I am going twice - once to visit my folks and once for a winter getaway with DH) I plan to use priceline, I dont think coupons would lower the price as much as priceline. When I rented for our San Fran trip I used a rediculous low bid just to get a line on how the website works. Keep in mind once it is accepted it is yours regardless...make sure dates and places are correct. You can rebid by changing two of the requirements- for example the price of your bid and type of car. Or you can just rebid in 72 hours. Take a look at hotwire and see what the rates are and then bid at least 40% less to start. just be sure to get into the area for naming your own price

Keep checking the price on Friday my reservation jumped from 906.00 to 1575.00. Lucky I was locked in, we don't leave until April so I have seen the rate jump up and down 4 times already. They will drop again check in a week.

Thanks for the tip.

I just tried priceline with a $22/day bid (454.00 15 day total with tax). My bid was rejected.

I currently have Dollar with Kiss Code at 28.42 per day (199/week) with 39.00 for the 15th day for a total with tax of 551.00.

I will try again in 72 hours with a $23/day bid. If I have to go any higher I probably will stay with Dollar since I have Dollar Express and won't have to wait in line.
