I am burned out. I love Disney but planning this Grand Gathering is just grinding on me. I have lost my excitement and joy, now it's gloom and avoidance.

Let me explain,

1. My Mother and sisters really want nothing to do with the planning, for every question I ask, I get " whatever you think is best. we don't really care". which in an of it's self creates a sense of disappointment that they don't want to help in the planning and be involved in the details and that when we get down there I am going to hear "well why did you do it this way?" (I already addressed that in an email, stating that if they did not help plan or give opinions then they had no business saying anything to me when in WDW)

2. The 5 Grandchildren that are being brought down (3 are mine and 2 are my sisters), 4 of them (my 17 month old daughter is excluded so far) are all on the Autism Spectrum. This creates a myrriad of problems as my sisters 2 have extremely limited diets (Part of the reason we went with an ASMu Suite, so we can have the kitchenette). Trying to incorporate all of their needs is like trying to plan for D-Day. Unfortunately, it is just not possible to go down and just let the days play out. These children thrive on routine and schedules.

3. We are having 2 birthday's while down there, my daughter will turn 2 and it will be my Mother's birthday (forever 29). I want to mark these occassions somehow.

I just feel overwhelmed and it is such an important trip (It's been years since my Mom has had us all together and she hasn't been to WDW, since my sister and I were kids)

Help!

Thanks. I am hoping that it will pass and I can get back on track. It is just hard to think of a stategy to use regarding our dining and how I am going to keep the adults and kids happy (and fed!)

Anyone know if you have to go through the GG dining number to make Cindy Resv? With a group our size (11), is it nearly impossible to get them?

We had breakfast at Cinderella's castle as a GG in July 2006. There were 14 of us total (10 adults; kids = 11, 6 1/2, 4 & 18mos). I believe all my dining was done through GG group. They booked it as 2 separate ADRs that were 10 or 20 minutes apart, but we were able to get our photos together and be seated at the same time, at 2 or 3 tables in a row so we were all together (tables were not connected)

Good luck! :wizard: I hope you get the joy of planning back (repeat to yourself over and over "this is fun!!!") :grouphug:
