What is it fully equipped with....dishes, silverware.....soaps ?? Is there dishwasher soap ? We have never stayed at a villa before and not sure what to expect. Is there laundry soap ? Do I have to pay if I use any of it ? TIA ! PS - Any insider views/comments on Grand Cypress Villas would be greatly appreciated !!

Grand Cypress is really nice. You should enjoy it.
When we were there they provided a "starter" package. Basically, small dishsoap, one packet dishwasher detergent, one or two garbage bags. From what I remember, there was one small box laundry detergent to do one load.

In the bathroom there were little bars of soap...no shampoo...one roll of toilet paper on each roller.

There will be enough dishes and cookware...but we always buy paper cups and plates since I don't even like loading a dishwasher if I don't have to.

Have an awesome trip.

From the Sunterra web pages for Cypress Pointe Grande Villas (Phase II):
"KITCHEN AMENITIES
Coffee Maker
Cooking Utensils
Dishes
Microwave
Oven
Refrigerator
Silverware
Stove
Toaster"

and a dishwasher.
There are usually a small amount of paper products, such as paper towels for the kitchen and handy things like can opener, bottle opener, corkscrew, colander, etc., in most timeshare villas.

Thanks so much !

Heather....
No shampoo ??:scared1: I loved the shampoo at Hyatt Grand Cypress and was really hoping the Villas would have it too !

How was it getting bikes ? Are they at the Villas or do you have to get from Hyatt ? Any area / section that has the best views that I should request ? How is the pool ? Are there really "drinks" at check in or just refreshment type? How is parking ? We have been to the Hyatt before but never the Villas - never even driven by. Are the back roads to WDW easy to use and well marked? I am getting a 1 bedroom.....do you know how it is?? I have had a hard time finding anyone that has stayed there. I have posted 2 or 3 other times but never heard back. So I am dying to hear more and more !! Any pics??? (I have checked out the "usual" places.) My girls don't know that we are going there...They hate sharing a bed (15 and 11) so I requested a rollaway. Will there be enough room?? Thanks so much !!!!!!

Careful not to be confused between Cypress Point and Grand Cypress. We just got back from the Villas of Grand cypress last weekend. Kitchen is truely "fully" equipped. Everything you will need in the kitchen is there, although I cant remember soap specifically. My guess is they can give you some if you need it, as housekeeping ran our dishwasher one day. Oh and our villa did have all the shampoos etc also. Enjoy the trip!

Deej696.....Thanks ! Can you answer any of these questions above ???:rolleyes1

Sure thing.....
The bikes are at the main hotel, dont recall seeing any at the villas. No section better than others as far as view, they all pretty much have a golf course view. The pool is nice, but wayyy small if you are comparing to the main hotel. You park literally in front of your front door to the villa which is great. As far as getting into WDW heres a tip. When you exit the villas, make a right on I think its 536 (the main road between the hotel and villas) Once you make that right, the very next intersection is actually buena vista drive, make a left. You'll be kinda "behind the scenes" at disney as that is where they have all their distribution centers etc, but if you follow that road it will lead you into the guest area. Its great for MK cause one of the roads back there will bypass the parking booth and save you the parking charge if you dont have a pass:)Also saves probably 15 minutes if not more battling traffic.
