this partial view category is just a few $ more than courtyard/woods, but what does this view exactly mean?

it states a partial view of Downtown Disney OR partial Theme Park, so this is like roulette?
A Downtown Disney view would be very nice, but the price gap is high, so where are the partial Downtown Disney view rooms located? Just on lower floors than the "real" Downtown Disney View rooms?

Any experiences?
thanks in advance

I do not like that the GCH and the DLH have premium categories with views of pool OR themepark/Downtown Disney. When paying $$$ people should know what to expect. But I think it does not affect the demand for premium views in any way...it's Disney.

I believe, and I may be wrong, but the partial view usually is on a lower floor having some type of obstruction between your balcony and a clear view of either DCA or Downtown Disney. There is no way to guarantee which you get but you can always request a preference.

We've stayed in premium view rooms for the past 2 years, first year was overlooking DCA and Paradise Pier and the second was a view of the pool with Grizzly peak in the background. It was a little disappointing to have that after the first year but we ended up almost enjoying it more. It was so peaceful in the evening and the room seemed bigger than the first year. But yes I agree it would be nice to know what you are going to get for the amount of money you pay.
