Gotta love bounceback! 10th ann. & family vaca PTR-9/201o-WE'RE BACK!

A day at US & IoA isn't too bad and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is supposed to be v good once its opened, so you should defo check it out, plus US and IoA have loads of cool rides :)

It's been years since we have been to US. We're still talking about returning but right now I feel like our Disney schedule is packed and there are still so many things that we want to do! :lmao:

I thought that it might be fun to relive the magic and take a peek at old pictures from past trips to inspire my planning.

Here are a few from our honeymoon. We brought our friends along. These are our friends E and B (E = guy and B = girl). E has been one of my best friends for years. I knew him before I met Joe and before he met B. I wanted him to be a bridesmaid but he said he'd look stupid in a dress. :lmao:

We were married on a Sunday and left for Disney on Tuesday after the wedding. B&E joined us on Thursday.

We stayed at the Dolphin. I remember vividly E's happiness with his "balcony" that we didn't have. :rotfl2:

Joe and E get along great and have since they met. Check them out being stupid.

We went to US for a day, which was fun. I remember that Joe made us ride Jaws and B and I got soaked. Nothing like soaked jean shorts and chaffing. OMG, we were miserable!!!

We went to MK and I remember having a great time there too. It was hot as all get out though.

Hook seemed to want to take B away with him!

He wasn't too thrilled that she decided to leave with this guy instead.

Joe and I had to take a picture with him too.

I remember it was a great day at MK.

I think you should definitely go to US for Harry Potter but I hear ya on missing a day in Disney. When we went a couple years ago we stayed offsite (since it was a last minute trip) :scared1: near Universal and on the days we went to WDW it was so sad leaving the grounds. :sad2:

Oh wow, loving the photos. Is always nice to reminisce isn't it :)

Awww, the pic of you two kissing in your Mickey bride and groom ears is so sweet!

Scott and I always talk about how we wish we had discovered WDW before we got married, so we could have Disneymooned there. We got married on the beach in Puerto Vallarta, just the two of us - no family. Not that we didn't have a good time, but Disney would have been more our style. We just didn't know it yet!

I just can't get myself to do it. :rolleyes1 I so wish I could. I even get antsy when we go to Kissimmee to shop at the "junk stores." :lmao:

It sure is. I am going to add more I think throughout the PTR to keep me going.

Thanks. I love those hats!

Joe and I had been to Disney together once before that. We talked about a honeymoon in St. Lucia but I so wanted to go back to the magic of Disney. I'm so glad that he agreed!

Here are a couple of pictures from the same trip. We were at Epcot. I like to see the changes in the banners that they use in each park over the years.

2002 was the first year we went with my mom, sister, nephew and niece. We celebrated my birthday and my nephews that year. My mom didn't do so well on the plane. She started to cry and basically freaked out.:scared1: Thank God we were on Southwest. They were so sweet to her.

We stayed off site at the Quality Suites Maingate. We figured for 90 bucks a night and a suite, what the heck........ NEVER AGAIN!!!

We went to Emeril's for my birthday dinner (it was a major milestone year) and the valet smashed our rental car. Dude had the never to say "it was like that." :scared1::guilty:

It was actually a fantastic trip. My nephew was so full of energy. I remember leaving DHS at closing and an older guy telling us that he wish he had that much energy.........when he got up that morning. :lmao:

We didn't have a digital camera but here are a few pics that I must have scanned at some point.

Love the old pictures! It is fun to see all the different banners from over the years (and the shopping bags...:rolleyes1).

OMG, the shopping bags! Joe thinks I'm nuts because I have a TON of them. Actually, I have a giant box of the old ones in our storage locker. :lmao:

I am downloading some old pictures to photobucket of more trips so I hope to get them up too.

Subbing in.... Can't believe it took me this long to find your PTR. Can't wait to hear more.

Loving the old pics too. That castle pic is gorgeous :)

So, as some of you know, I am in HR. Today, someone came to my office early in the day, shut the door and said she needed to talk to me to get advice. She was totally serious and all I could think of was.....oh man, it's just barely 8 a.m. :lmao: Turns out, she wanted to ask me to help her plan her Disney vacation!:wizard: She is going in May and has only been "to the castle place" once. And the place with the "men in black thing." That's Disney, right? :scared1: AAAAAHHHHHHHH. Anyway, I loved helping her out. I told her that I would zip something together for her tonight since she should probably make her ressies NOW. She didn't know about ADR's or really much about Disney at all. It took all I had to do my work and NOT start planning for her. Tonight I am going to sit down and see what I can get down on paper for her. I love doing this for people. I hope that it helps make her trip more magical. :wizard::wizard:

My stroll down memory lane left off with our April 2002 trip. I have no idea why we didn't go in 2003. :confused3

Next up was 2004. Our first trip that year was in February. Joe and I went for his birthday. We spent a long weekend there and stayed at CBR. I love Disney in February. One thing we did not plan for was how cold it gets at night. Sheesh, it was FREEZING at night. You started off in shorts and a jacket, then shed the jacket during the day and then had to go back and dress for winter for the nights! :lmao:

It was during this trip that we upgraded to Annual Passes. Best move we ever made.

Don't ask me why but I can't find any pictures from this trip that are digital. :sad2:

Next up, September 2004, our 4th wedding anniversary. We went back to the Dolphin. I love that resort. I think we got our first digital camera about that time.

I love the Dolphin for a number of reasons. Probably most because you can get to Epcot and DHS so easily on the boats. It's awesome. I don't mind the conventions at all and the lack of Disney in the resort. It's a super property with a lot of conveniences.

One thing that I can say for the Dolphin is that they have THE MOST comfortable beds on property!!! It was SO nice to get into that bed after a long day of touring the parks!

Oooh how exciting :) I know that you will plan out her vacation with precision and lots of fun :goodvibes

Sometimes its great when someone knows absolutely nothing about WDW, then you can just step in with handy hints etc. A friend at work has said that if she goes then I am in charge of planning everything. Oh the power!

Aww look at Minnie and Mickey, my how they've grown now :cutie:

I gave her the first batch of planning ideas yesterday. I used Waltograph font too. She was so excited. I will give her more this weekend. This is so much fun!

After our trip in September, we headed back in November for Super Soap weekend. It was tons of fun. This was our first stay at ASMo. Never again, never again. OMG, it was terrible. Our room was filthy. Yuck.....

My nephew did enjoy the resort though. He was a still a little dude so all that stuff at ASMo impressed him.

Here are a few pictures from the trip.

They had started to put up the holiday decorations at the resort.

Downtown Disney -- this is my favorite spot for pictures. I make my family stop there every single trip.

We visited the GF when my nephew took the pirate cruise for kids.

We also ate at CM's, which was his favorite place back then.

Next up I will post the rest of the trip. It shaped future trips to come.
