Our Resolutions for Our Summer Vacation
1. I will not become impatient when my family wants to do something not in "my" plans.

2. We will slow down and savor the sights, smells, and sounds of Walt Disney World.

3. We will explore every nook and cranny of our resort, and we will make time to try some of the activities offered.

4. We will try new rides, new attractions, new parades, new nighttime shows, and new foods.

5. We will do our very best to enjoy every second of every minute of every hour of every day of our vacation at Walt Disney World.

Three Days!!!

What an awesome list that we all should follow-

Nobby eventually got over his initial shock as Chelsea coaxed him out with the promise of his very own mouse ears.

I am really looking forward to the adventures of Nobby and company in 3 short days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is it weird that I am really excited for your trip? I think I am even more excited because I am pretty sure that I am going to have to delay my own trip so I want to live through all my DIS friends.

Do I spy a pair of Mickey swim trunks in your laundry basket? Ian's got some but they're way big on him. I had hoped he could wear it at SAB.

Girl, I am in the same boat... I may be living vicariously through Jackie and Jordans PTR's!!!

Part of me wants to say, "sc--- it, we're going!!!!", part of me thinks it might not be a good time with moving and all. I have only ever cancelled one other vacation-Disney cruise- b/c we went to WDW 2x in a year. The second time was a hurrication and NOT planned, but very short. But enough to take from our cruise savings!

Jackie-LOVE your PTR!!! You all are too funny! You kids are growing up so beautiful -and handsome, too!

OOOH!!! Noby is so awesome. We have a little stuffed dog we take with us. His name is Beanie Pets. A little more weird than Noby...but it brings great humor. You should try to get Noby to ride in the front of the monorail.

I'm so glad that you liked your Indiana Jones Mad Libs. Like I told you, I have had them for MONTHS. I saw them and just knew that you had to have them! Hehehe.

They were so excited! When I first brought the package into the kitchen and said, "It's a special friend to take with us to Disney," Connor said, "Is it Pluto???" I don't know what made him think of Pluto. Nobby slept in Connor's room last night.

I do love my Indy Mad Libs -- they will help make the time pass so much faster in the car on Saturday!

No sighting of the ice cream bar mickey bag--- find that bag! You have over a week left and I need to know where to go!

Wigd says she is pretty sure it is sold out all over the parks and resorts -- maybe they will get a new shipment while I am there!

Oh, CP...throw in a little Dr. Suess and I get all misty.

But happy, too!

And I love how Nobby has acclimated to his new surroundings. He's sure to have a great time with your family to guide him.

I just know the Nobster is going to have a great time with your family.
I'm sure he'll enjoy looking out on the savannah at all of the awesome animals at AKL, for starters.
And a statue of his stature should appreciate that zero entry thing at the pool so he doesn't get in over his head!

Yes, he is bound to love the animals! The kids already asked if we could take him down to the pool so he could keep me company.

Savor every moment of everything.
Times like these are too few and far between and you should milk them for all they are worth!

Thank you! Yes, Chelsea and Connor are like balloons about to pop! When we left our pool last night, Chelsea noticed the moon was almost full -- she turned and said to me, "If there is a full moon while we are at Disney, you are in for it -- you know we are always hyper during the full moon, and being at Disney we will be twice as hyper." I gave her my "Mom" look.

I love the ears!!!

Oh, we do plan on quite a bit of time at the resort -- I want to do the storytelling at the firepit, the night-vision viewing, the ceramics activity on Tuesdays, and the cookie decorating in the afternoon at Boma. I think it is going to be so miserably hot down there that we will enjoy the breaks from the parks.

Those are Mickey swim trucks -- I bought them last year for Connor, but they were huge on him -- I am hoping they fit this year.

Your last 2 updates were so great! I got tears in my eyes about The Waiting Place, then laughed at the kids in PJs and no make-up being allowed in The Waiting Place (good thing I'm in The Waiting Place as well ). All the fantastic pictures of Nobby. I laughed out loud at his ears and him hitting on the ladies.

I like your "rules" as well. Good things to keep in mind for a magical trip!

And thank you for the offer on the bags! If I knew Henry wasn't going to completely destroy it in less time than it takes for us to drive out of our neighborhood, I would take ya up on it! LOL

The places you go is my favorite book!!! I cry everytime I read it. Another tear jerker is "Love you Always". I cry everytime I read that to Omicron.


Loved the gnome photos! That looks like a lot of fun. I thought about doing something like that and send the photos to my DH while we are waiting on him to join us. Like maybe a mini-him?
