Got Pixie Dust? A June 2009 PTR ~TR Link, Page 180

I want Magic Elves!! They sound cooler than the Easter Bunny and the Footh Fairy put together!

I have 2 elves at my house. They "hide" around the house. When they are found, DD gets to open the door on her advent calendar. Luckily our elves are nice and don't get into much mischief! ;)

Wow! I *almost* wish some elves would come live with me. But the extra clean up I could do without. I make enough of a mess myself! ;)

Right?!

Wow. I want some elves to come to my house!! That is such a cute tradition. Between you and Lara, I have decided that I need to be adopted!

Awww..... a second childhood for LL! :wizard:

Between you and Lara, I have decided that I'm the most boring mom EVER! :sad2:

You can't be TOO boring- you let them go to Disney, right?! Lest we forget the rest of the world isn't as DISNEY crazed as we? :upsidedow

Doh! The advent calendar! I forgot to pick that up this morning when I passed Walgreens! :headache: Dang, I AMM a boring mom! :rotfl2:

What a fantastic holiday tradition! Can't wait to hear what they are planning this year!

:rotfl: Yeah, I just finished cleaning up from last night!

I can practically hear their little wheels turning.

I have an elf that comes to my classroom on Fridays in December, but he's a good guy. He leaves treats, like Christmas pencils, candy, etc.

I hadn't thought of doing anything like that at home, but I think it would be fun to do when my grandkids are old enough to have fun with it.

Great idea! Thanks for sharing. I know your kids love it.

I love the idea of a classroom elf -- wonder how my middle schoolers would respond. :rotfl:

The elves, I LOVE IT! What a great idea. :goodvibes

Thank you!

I love the elves! I also hadn't heard of them until this year on the Dis. I'm still not 100% how they work. ;) I'm very curious as to where one might acquire some elves for service. :rolleyes1

Okay - just read your previous post (it was early when I posted - yeah - that's my excuse!) and saw that you mentioned where to find out more about the elves. Thanks Jackie. :)

You are welcome! If I could just harness all their energy in the housecleaning area they could stay all year.

I can't wait to hear what trouble the elves get into.

First update coming right up! :thumbsup2

Jackie! I LOVE the top 5 things to be thankful for at WDW! What a great thing to post about! Here are mine.........

5. Magical Express.....the sight of the buses upon arrival
at MCO brings tears to my eyes EVERYTIME!!
4. The smiles on my boys faces when we drive under
the "Welcome to Disney World" sign!
3. The opening music at any of the theme parks...again
instant tears!
2. The GORGEOUS Animal Kingdom Lodge
1. That is OK to dress in character t-shirts all week and
be a kid again with my own kids!!

Love the elves too! How cute! Looking forward to how they add to your PTR!popcorn:: :goodvibes

Oh, I am so glad to hear I am not the only weepy one -- add any fireworks/nighttime show to my teary list!

Wow. I want some elves to come to my house!! That is such a cute tradition. Between you and Lara, I have decided that I need to be adopted!

You could introduce Haddon and Ingrid to a love of lights. ;)

Which actually gives me an idea...:rolleyes1

Between you and Lara, I have decided that I'm the most boring mom EVER! :sad2:

You are not! You have a Charlie Brown Christmas tree and that's awesome!

I love your elves! So much fun!
We have Elmo the christmas elf, who visiits for the 12 days of christmas. He leaves gifts hidden around the house.

That is a very cute idea -- what kinds of gifts does Elmo bring?

CP--LOVE your Thankful list---you know we share so many of the same!!! We are SO like minded!!! ;o) The elves are adorable! What a truly cute addition to the holiday festivities!!! Those rascally little devils though!!! They better be good to you this year! I definitely think Santa needs to bring you an extra good gift this year for putting up with them.......let's just say, um, a new digital camera? With like 8 megapixels? Wouldn't that be a great reward?!?!?!?!? Missing you much Girlie---a belated Happy Turkey Day, and here's to a WONDERFUL Holiday season for you and all your lovely family!

I have been missing you too, Jen! So glad that you were able to spend some time on the DIS today! I agree that a digital camera would be a great thank you gift -- I have my eye on a Sony Cyber Shot.

Megan would probably LOVE to have an elf. :goodvibes

I think Jackie and I should start The Home for Wayward DISers!

I'm there!

We would have so much fun -- and we could rent a church van for trips to Disney! :thumbsup2

You think so -- until it is 11:00 at night and your children are too excited to go to sleep...:rolleyes1

By mid-month my SIL and I are coming up with ways to permantly remove said elves in the manner of a Clue game. ;)

Oh, you lucked out and got the elves with manners. :lmao:

Doh! The advent calendar! I forgot to pick that up this morning when I passed Walgreens! :headache: Dang, I AMM a boring mom! :rotfl2:

I just added an advent calendar to my list of things to look for at the DtD Christmas shop next year. We have one from my FIL this year, but I am wondering if there is a Disney themed one somewhere out there.

Sometime during the night last night, Charles got up. When he returned to bed he was chuckling. I believe he said something along the lines of, "Those elves! What will they think of next?"

Seems Haddon and Ingrid decided to have a little beach party last night. They pulled out pool floats, beach towels, sunscreen, and moved my palm tree into the middle of the living room.

I guess North Georgia's 32 degree low last night felt almost summery to them after the frigid weather of the North Pole.

At least they didn't get into the shaving cream last night...:rolleyes1

Cute elves Jackie! What a fun holiday tradition. I hope you are enjoying the season... I thought of you when we got an AG flyer this week. The AGs are Em's big treat- she is getting the bitty twins! I can't wait to see her love on them!

They must have heard that you were staying at the Beach Club! They are getting you in the mood for Stormalong Bay and the other delights that are BC! I knew I liked these elves! Could you send them up to Connecticut for a night? But only if they come bearing a BC trip! ;)

How did I not find this earlier?? Just read through all of it! Im happy about your BC decision, but a little sad you won't be seeing WL, are you planning on WCC??? What a deal you guys got though!!

Hi!!! I was wondering how you were doing! How are the girls and Luke? Are you surviving going back to work? I can't wait to hear how Em likes the Bitty Twins. Chelsea was thinking she didn't want any AG stuff for Christmas this year, but has since changed her mind. Whew! I don't know how to do Christmas without AG! :goodvibes Feel free to post photos of your darlings, if you want!

:rotfl: Heaven help us if they find the WDW guidebooks. I will gladly send you the elves for a stay in Connecticut!

Hi, Nicole! So glad that you found me! We aren't going to do WCC this trip -- there are a few places we have decided we want to try at the Beach Club/Boardwalk area. I guess we will have to plan another trip for WL. :rolleyes1 When are you headed down for the Christmas trip?

By the way, this DIS member has some really amazing BC pictures!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you! :worship:

I have seen some of senecabeach's photos on the BC thread, but I love having a chance to see all of them! I think she is there right now.

Back to work on Monday. It is okay. Since I only go half day it is not too bad, but being off since June makes back to work a harsh reality. I just need to get back in the groove. The kids are fine... Luke is seemingly sleeping for longer stretches finally at night. That guy does not sleep much though. AG stuff is so cute, glad Chelsea has her eyes on some goodies. If get a chance soon I will post a pic... time is less these days, I am just normally able to read, not post!

CP---I like the way those elves think---I am in some SERIOUS need of warm, tropical weather!!!!

We aren't doing the elves with Megs this year, but I think that might be some fun for next year! We do St. Nick day up here in our neck of the woods, which is Friday night/Saturday morning, so that helps break up the time between now and Christmas! Plus an abundance of holiday activities, so I think she is good for right now! That reminds me, I need to update you all over in Lapuland on all our Christmas hijinks!

Laura---so good to hear that your gang is doing well!!! So sorry you have to go back to work---I will be thinking of you!!!! Have a wonderful holiday season!

Hi Jackie, hope you don't mind me coming here to post, but since I saw Jenn, and Laura recently on here too... thought I would update you all :)

went to the specialist the other day, 13 weeks now... so far seems everything looks good did some blood work, won't know the results until next week, but don't think we are choosing to do the Amnio.... go back after the holidays for another high level ultrasound... but theythink they are both boys.... I don't know how much the good lord thinks I can handle!! haha...
I'm starting to feel alittle better now too which is nice ,but can't keep my eyes awake past 8-9 oclock...

Keep you all updated...

Sounds like you all had great turkey days, and can't believe it is xmas time! Love the elves Jackie, so cute!~~ Must be a big adjustment for you Laura going back to work ... glad to hear the little ones are all doing well..
I'm sure you are busy Jenn with all the running around you do with Megs...

talk to you all soon!

soo jealous Jackie you are staying at the Beach club can't wait to hear all about this trip!
Annette

Annette---thanks for coming here to update us!!! Keep us posted---glad you are feeling somewhat better!!! Still keeping you in my thoughts and prayers!!! TWO BOYS!!! When will you know that for sure????? Take care sweetie, and have a great holiday!!!!

Awe, congratulations, Annette!

Jackie the pictures of the elves are HYSTERICAL!

I love your elves! That is such a cute idea, I would have absolutely loved that when I was a kid. I liked their beach party and I hope that they don't get into TOO much mischief. :goodvibes

I love that the elves decided to soak up a little sun! I'm sure it's much warmer compared to where they came from. ;)
