Got Pixie Dust? A June 2009 PTR ~TR Link, Page 180

I've been debating on buying that dining guide one. Do you like it??

Looking at your pictures I had a thought totally unrelated to your post, have you gotten a digital camera yet??

That food guide looks wonderful!

I'm pretty sure you NEED the new Passporter. Cuz you need new, blank places to fill in all your info for the trip!

You have to get the new Passporter! It's the tenth anniversary edition!!!!! :lmao: (they came in at my store this week.)

Does it look really neat? Weren't they going to add more color photos or something in this edition?

I do like it -- I also have the 2007 edition -- I like their descriptions of the restaurants, and it's nicely set up by parks and resorts. It's very user-friendly.

No, no new digital camera yet -- this is one from forever ago -- it's like 3.2 megapxiels if that tells you anything about the age of it.

That is one of the things I love about the Passporter -- I was able to jot down notes from each day and stash all manner of receipts and other doodads in the little pockets.

Oh, and the Passporter has my favorite maps!

I do like those maps, too -- we used those last year -- I cut them out of the passporter.

I've been debating on the 2009 Passporter as well...or thinking about getting the Unofficial Guide, something I've never even browsed through!

New books for each trip are a MUST! :woohoo:

A definite must! Planning would not be near as fun without new books. ;)

You've never even browsed through the Unofficial Guide???

I think you need to order that today without fail.

It is truly the behemouth of Disney guidebooks -- 849 pages devoted solely to WDW -- it's awesome!

Yes!! There are about twenty color pages in the back. Just beautiful! There are some from Mousefest past, but we aren't in any of them. (of course I looked right away.:lmao: ) I'm getting one to have it signed while we are down there. I keep saying I'm going to get the leather edition and just refill it. :) But I just keep giving my old ones away.

I saw the 2009 Birnbaum's when I was in Books-a-Million yesterday. Jill bought it last week, so I'm going to just be cheap and look at hers. Brooklynn knows her way through a Birnbaum's already!

I was at the bookstore looking for The Christmas Sweater or O Little Town on CD to listen to as I drove to Jill's this afternoon, but they didn't have either of them. I guess I'll be listening to my Disney CDs again.

No rooms at any value resorts. I know it will be crowded, but it'll still be fun. I'm anxious to see what Trent thinks of All-Star Music, since he's only stayed at Pop so far. I think as long as they have food, and they do, he'll be fine! :)

What will you guys be doing on Thursday? Are you the turkey cooker or the side dish bringer or what?

I have a shopping cart filled with Christmas purchases at amazon, and I am pretty sure that Passporter is going to "sneak" in -- I figure I can give it to Charles to wrap for me for Christmas ;) .

One Birnbaum's per family is probably plenty. :goodvibes

Are you planning on going to the new T-Rex Cafe in DTD?

I can't wait to see your pictures of ASMu -- that is a resort I haven't seen a lot about.

Thursday morning we head to my parents for Thanksgiving brunch and watching the Macy's parade; in the afternoon we head to my SIL's house for that side of the family. I am in charge of green bean casserole, pecan pies, and pumpkin muffins. They give me the items that are hard to mess up. ;)

I've yet to hold the Unofficial Guide either... I did pre-order the 2009 Passporter but I'm STILL waiting for it! (There was some hold up in their getting the books from overseas.) I bought all the Birnbaum guides (including the one for kids!) for 2008, and I'm debating on getting them for 2009 or not... I concur about the food guide- it was great but what's up with the no pictures thing? Who just READS about food?! Sigh.

I think I'll get the 2009 Unofficial to go with my Passporter- between the two of them they should get me through the ever-changing journey! LOL

I would not get the 2009 Birnbaums if you have the 2008s -- there is very little that is different.

Get the Unofficial Guide to go with the Passporter -- between those two you can't go wrong! :goodvibes

Does anyone read "The Complete Walt Disney World" by Julie & Mike Neal. I love mine. I have the 2008 and my 2009 edition is slated to ship on November 30th.

CP --- I hope I a digital camera is on your christmas list! :goodvibes

Oh, my, look at all those guidebooks!

I think I just drooled a little. ;)

I didn't buy any last year, but you have me sorely, sorely tempted. :lmao:

Who is shipping it on November 30? For me, Amazon says either the 9th or the 15th of December (can't remember which, the other one is for Phelps' new book). I'm sure you all will be ordering that one! :lmao:

My DD9 has pretty much destroyed my 2008 edition because she's read it so many times! I can't wait for the new one!

I just bought The Unofficial Guide and this is my first time reading it. Now that I've seen your other guidebooks I'm thinking about buying more!

I bought it from Barnes & Noble. :goodvibes

CP it looks like you're all guide book-ed up  I would say go for the Passporter, a small investment for a worthy cause :thumbsup2

I have the UG but do you think I should get Birnbaum's too?

Totally Birbaums for the coupons. I must have coupons. Even if I don't use 'em. LOL.

And next trip- I'm totally getting the Passporters. You NEED the Passporters. Esp. if you wrote in your last one.

I LOVE Disney Travel books:thumbsup2 We bought the boys the Kids Guide to WDW for Christmas. Matthew had the 2008 one and he loved it!:goodvibes I have thought of getting the 2009 Passporter too:confused3
