BA first class

Has anyone flown first class with bA to MCO and if so, how does it compare with VA upper class? This is possibly a pipe dream but my husband came home with severe back pain last time that I'm thinking of upgrading just so that he doesn't have to have 2 weeks off work!

I think the new BA Business class is comparable to VA Upper class. I haven’t had the opportunity to fly BA first class yet.

If you're flying direct from Gatwick then a lot of the planes are the old design and don't have a first class cabin.

To clarify, the new long-haul BA Business Class (as opposed to the old reversed seating) is comparable to VA Upper Class. The short-haul BA Business looks the same as the regular class, but with the middle seat vacant.

British Airways have either three or four classes on their long-haul flights: (economy, premium economy & business class) or (economy, premium economy, business class & first).

As others have said, Orlando is a three class route so if you wanted to fly first class you’d have to fly somewhere else (Miami, New York, Boston, etc) and change to a domestic flight for the last bit.

At the moment all BA flights from LGW to MCO are scheduled on flights that have the old Club World product (there may be a very rare one with the newer version but only because they need to do some last minute work on a plane).

Thank you all. As we come from Yorkshire, I think that, as BA business and Virgin Upper are comparable, I'll stick with Virgin Upper class. I really don't want him to go through that amount of pain again. I'm just glad that it didn't happen on the way out!
