It's my DD that I am concerned about. I don't want her name and birthdate permanently in some Disney database.
Do you give your DD's name when you set up your ressie for room & tickets? If so, she's already in their "database".
Does she play any type of competitive sport/activity? My boys' birth certificates are all over the place... I've always got to provide "proof of age" for them, so don't see how Disney playing the part of "big brother" is any different.
I had to take my DS's original BC last year for the b-day promo. I was worried about losing it in the parks, but kept it safe with my 'notebook' of info. This year, it's nice to see they just need a copy. I understand you not wanting to provide this info, but like a pp said, you had to provide b-days for each person when you registered to participate with GAD (I'm sure in part to make sure all volunteers were 6 and up).
As for giving the voucher to someone else, it's about the fairness of the folks who actually DO the work themselves, reaping the benefits. Disney has a way for folks to "give away" their vouchers if they so choose. It's all about following rules. Disney certainly didn't HAVE to do this promotion this year, and we could all be going & pulling FP's the old fashion way.
Me, I'm taking advantage of the 4 vouchers my family has earned, so we can do more during our busy week over spring break. AND there is a way you can "share" this promo with friends. I can use my 1 FP card to pull 2 FPs for the same ride, to share with my BFF who didn't participate in GAD. I'm yet to figure out if we can get the 2 extra FP cards (for our total of 6 cards with 1 voucher) when they are not our MY ressie.
