So if you change out HGV for DVC can you request a certain resort (a PP said it is hard to get exactly what you want) because I am sure they would want BCV, as that is where we will be. The kids also love SAB.
Actually BWV and BCV have been far more available than you might think. More difficult than OKW & SSR certainly, but no that much. You can try but some (BCV/BWV/AK) are more difficult to get than others. Good luck!

It matters in that many weeks don't make it to showing up online. Put in an ongoing search and you have a decent chance of success for a 2 BR if you have enough trade power to do so. You may have already missed the time you're looking for if you're seeing units online for then.Interesting....I can get 2BR at OKW and SSR but BWV and BCV don't always come up and when they do they are only 1BR or Studios. I own a weeks resort if that matters??
Very low due to volume. However, if you plan 11-12 months out and look at OKW & SSR, I'd say for certain times (like May and Sept) you have a decent chance. If you want more in demand resorts, your chances are less. Having said that I had 9 units between BWV and BCV by exchange this past Sept. Of those 2 were 2 BR and the rest 1 BR. Some gotten with RCI weeks and some with RCI points.Ok, now for the tough one... what do you think the odds of getting 4 two bedrooms and 1 one bedrooms?![]()

Don't assume that because you own in HI, trading power is not an issue. It may not be but you should check as it depends on the week, unit size and resort in question as well as the week you're trying to get at WDW.Thanks for the tip! It is greatly appreciated. I will remember this for next time. Our home resort is in Hawaii so trading power is not an issue. We're not currently looking for a trip; I just like to see what comes available. Thanks again.

Not all weeks are that low, which is why I raised the question. I've seen some weeks as high as 40 inbound and 60 outbound.RCI now assigns a trading power number. I have a 28. DVC's are a 25 so I will have no problem getting a week as long as one has been deposited. Last year I was able to get a 2BR at BWV. We don't care which week we can get. An Epcot area is more important to us. We don't intend to go back until 2012 so I have a few months.![]()

I don't recall the exact couple I saw that were higher but I know they were mid summer. On the outbound side there are a couple of weeks that are 60 if deposited, while this doesn't necessarily track to exact cost inbound, it does suggest that some weeks will be more costly than others. The 1 BR vs 2 will also make some difference. My point was not to make assumptions unless you had direct info such as a unit the same size and week #. For example, I wouldn't assume that a mid to high 20's week would consistently get DVC nor would I assume a high teens to low 20's week wouldn't.For some reason, all 1 BR's that I see on the website are coming up as 25 yearround. Are you seeing these on the RCI website? What is the difference between inbound and outbound? What weeks do you see that are that high so I can mark those right off my list? Thanks for your help.
He was likely trying to get one of the HGVC properties in the area. He should know hot to go through HGVG to look at RCI trades, I'm not personally familiar with their process. If he has weeks, he can also go to RCI directly if he's a direct member of RCI for the weeks.DFiL is going to try with RCI , he tried with HGVs and they no rooms through them. Apparently RCI and HGV are different . He has plenty of points and weeks. Is there a certain number to call for RCI, and if Disney says they have it why would RCI or HGV say they do not ?
