Has anyone eaten there before? Any opinions? It sounds like it's location is far out of the way, too far to walk from the hotels on Harbor Blvd., but after viewing the show, I just wanted to ask if anyone here has been there for dining, either before, or after the television show aired, this past week.

I noticed they showed the 'Sun Wheel' at the beginning of the clip, (not Mickey's Fun Wheel, AKA Wheel of Death) but Gordon Ramsay had been there this past July!

Here's a link to an article pertaining to my post:

I watched the show too and was interested, so I looked them up online and the reviews post Gordon aren't really flattering. Apparently they have backslid and started serving their old menu still and then raised their prices. It sounds like it was good when he was there, but now that he's gone it's gone back to what it used to be.

Yelp has some good reviews from after the show and even some people who went during taping.

Thanks for your response and for the link to Yelp reviews, they are interesting to read! :goodvibes I was glad that he had never had to go into the kitchen or freezer, etc. and start pointing out any spoiled food, etc. It does appear then that the place is clean, and follows decent food handling safety techniques. Curious if any DISers have been there... I'll keep an eye on this post to see if any more responses.

LOL, this is really funny. I was set-up on a blind date of sorts with Luigi years ago.
I ate at his old location. (28ish years ago) There was always a long wait to get in. And the food was really quite good, and the atmosphere was awesome. It felt more like New York. When they moved to their new location I was less impressed with the atmosphere. The last time I ate there was about 4 ½ years ago. We enjoyed the food and the attention from our waiter as we were there with regulars. The location is over on State College Blvd. It is definitely to far to walk from DL. But I would say it is a good family style Italian restaurant. :thumbsup2 :tink:
