Goofy's Great Birthday Bash NEW 6/2 page 34

I love your trip reports normally, but am even more pulled by these one on one trips with your boys. There's something special about a mooma and her son!

I am here!

Your boys are so stinkin' cute!

I was hoping we would run into each other but I never did see ya...

Can't wait to hear all about it!
Thanks! :) I think I just might keep them. ;)

I kept looking for other DISers all vacation long and never saw so much as a lime green anything let alone a familiar face. I seem to have no luck with running into other DISers. :sad2:

Well, I wasn't first (darn travel time from work) but I wouldn't miss this for the world. Those boys have grown up right before my eyes. I have read every report you've done and watched all that growing. You know I'm partial to little boys. I believe that darling Buzz looks more like Goofy than ever. And Goofy is really looking like your DH. I still say Aladdin is one handsome hunk. That Stitch is still cute as ever but starting to look more young manish that lilttle boy. Not fair. They should not be growing so fast.

I'm glad things have settled at home and you were able to get this party started. I'm glad I'm along for the ride.

You still inspire me.

Ginny
Silly work, preventing you from DISing. ;) Good to see you here, Ginny! Looking back at my old reports just floors me. The only time I write up a week (or two) in the boys' lives is while we are on vacation. It's like looking back into a time capsule. I am reminded of little quirks or things they did that have since passed into the realm of baby book fodder and no longer happen. It's a great peek back through the years for me and I am so glad I have taken the time to write them.

Ha ha ha. I don't know if I will ever be settled...with four little boys and one big one (and a host of pets on top of that) I don't count on any settling of anything in the near future. Ha I don't think I would know what to do with myself if I did have time to burn. :rotfl: But this report is a priority. I want to get it done before my next WDW trip (in early December). This is quite an ambitious goal for me (I usually try to finish up our September reports by New Years). Anyway, thanks for being here! :)

I'm in!! Yay!
Hiya Jess! How are you doing? How's your sweet little pumpkin doing? I bet she is growing faster than any real pumpkin on a vine! Isn't it amazing how fast they grow!

I'm here!!! Can't wait to read all about it!!! It's so exciting to read since some of us kinda know how it's planned out!!! :surfweb:
Ha ha ha. Let me just say, our plans took a few wrong turns (which ended up being even more right in the end than anything I could have planned). Heck, a few times I just pitched the plans right out the window and we tried to wing it. I am happy to report that the planner in me didn't have a melt down when things changed a bit. :lmao: I was a bit worried about that.;)

Woo hoo I"m in!! I can't wait for this TR!!

Goofy looks so happy about his trip!!
He was so happy. That morning was great for dh and I. We both enjoyed seeing his looks of happy surprise and excited anticipation. He was one joyful child and I was even more joyful to see him that way.

Woo Hoo! You've started! :woohoo:

I know I say this everytime you post new pictures of your boys, but I just have to say that Goofy is looking very grown up. *Sigh* where does the time go?
He does look grown up! WAY grown up! I have to remind myself that he is only ten (and just barely now) sometimes. He just looks so much older than that!

Alrighty, I am here and doing the :banana:dance!!! Yippeee, I have been waiting for this TR for FOREVER...okay maybe not forever, but I am excited just the same. Hahahahaha. Goofy looked so excited in the limo, I love the one of him on the phone talking to the guys back home. How sweet.

Can't wait for the next part!!!! popcorn::
What wait? Ha ha ha...you have had picture/text previews of almost every day! ;)

Talking to dad and their brothers back home was a favorite thing of both Goofy and Stitch to do during their limo rides. Goofy also really liked putting the window up and down?! I have no idea why. :rotfl2:

Thanks for sharing that link! I was wondering what the story was behind the hood ornament (that's why I took the picture actually) and I was planning on looking it up some day soon. THANKS so much for helping me find the answer! :thumbsup2

i'm here!!
:woohoo: I'm glad!

Yay you started your trip report! Great start, looking forward to more. :)
I had bubble tea a few weeks ago and thought of you! ;) I am excited to share more about the fun we had on our trip!

Can't wait to read all about it! Love the sleepy pics of Goofy, he looks so happy!:goodvibes
He was still half asleep (even after a shower). It was a lot earlier than he would chose to wake up himself. I love those pictures though. I can still 'hear' him laughing and being so excited when I look at them.

I'm in! Love these reports.
:goodvibes Thanks for jumping in!

I'm in too! I can't wait to ready all about your adventures!
Adventures...that's what we had, a series of adventures linked together into one big amazing trip! :)

You've started your trip report. Looking forward to reading all about your stay!
I am very excited to share our time at WDW. I love reliving the special moments I was blessed enough to spend there. It's the second best thing to being there. Well, that and planning and reading other people's trip reports. It's sort of a three way tie for 2nd place.

I love the individual birthday trips. What a great way for all the boys to get quality time with you and Dad at different times!

I'm in!
I am really enjoying this year's birthday trips as well. I feel so spoiled with the one on one time I have had with the boys (and the time that is still yet to come). Dh is really enjoying being able to have 'staycations' with the other boys as well.

I'm in! Can't wait to read more. Now, if only I could get DH to read and take notes for my upcoming bday trip! ;)
Ha ha ha. If I could only get my dh to take a hint from me...I am still waiting for that!

I found you...I'm here for the report. :cool1:
Hi!! It's good to have you here. Thanks again for the help with planning my trip this past March at the CSR. The tips/pictures/patient answers to so many questions really helped me make the most of that trip! I am glad you are here!

Signing in! Goofy looks so excited! Can't wait to read about all of your adventures!:thumbsup2
I wish I had thought to have dh snap a picture of me. I am sure I looked like I was about to burst. I may just have been more excited than Goofy was (at least until everything sunk in for him).

I love your trip reports normally, but am even more pulled by these one on one trips with your boys. There's something special about a mooma and her son!
There really is something special about that one on one time. Nothing will ever replace these memories. I feel so blessed to have that time with each of the boys. They are such great little guys and it was(and will be) amazing to get to see WDW through each of their eyes.

Okay, I'm on board. Will have to come back and get caught up later! Can't wait to hear this one! :yay:

Hiya Jess! How are you doing? How's your sweet little pumpkin doing? I bet she is growing faster than any real pumpkin on a vine! Isn't it amazing how fast they grow!

I can't even believe it's been 17 mos. I am SO SO SO SO SO SO excited to take her to Disney in December. I showed her Playhouse Disney Live online the other day and she LOVED it!!

I am soooooo excited that your trip report has started! :cool1::cool1: Of course I am joining in for another report!

Hi!! It's good to have you here. Thanks again for the help with planning my trip this past March at the CSR. The tips/pictures/patient answers to so many questions really helped me make the most of that trip! I am glad you are here!

No thanks needed...it was my pleasure. I don't know if you knew, bvut we were able to make a "mini" trip to CSR and spent four nights there last month (my report is in my signature).

He does look grown up! WAY grown up! I have to remind myself that he is only ten (and just barely now) sometimes. He just looks so much older than that!

Oh my goodness, he just turned 10? For some reason I thought he was 11! That makes me think he even looks more grown up, he's only about a year older than my youngest, and he certainly looks way older than mine! He's definitely a cutie, Jay. You're going to have little girls banging down your door soon!

Day 1-The Arrival

Upon pulling up to the Boardwalk, we were both craning our necks trying to see the resort for the very first time. Goofy had based inclusion of The Boardwalk Inn on his short list of resort choices solely on the roller coaster/clown pool slide. And, while I had spent a lot of time looking at other people's pictures, I was still anxious to see it in person. As we rolled to a stop, our driver told us he would come and open the door and as he walked around the limo to our door, he gave the waiting bellman our names, told him that it was Goofy's 10th birthday trip and that we were checking in at the club level. Being 'announced' is sort of fun. ;) And as we stepped out of the limo, we were then made very welcome by the bellman who escorted us straight up to the club level check in desk right outside of the club key only area. On our way up, I was able to snap one picture. It's such a beautiful light fixture!

At check in, we were greeted with a friendly "Welcome Mrs. Jay and Goofy, we have been expecting you". Immediately, I felt at home. The CM that checked us in didn't do anything out of the ordinary but the way he went about doing what he did just made us feel very welcome and as if our arrival was the sole reason for him being there that day.

**A short interjection to share my opinion of the CMs at the BWI: The club staff at the BWI is flat out amazing! I wanted very much to bring them all home with me and have a great big BBQ with them as the guests of honor. To a person, the staff was outstanding even when judged by high "Disney expectations". They made us feel special, welcome and as if they were there to do nothing more than to bring a smile to our faces. Seriously, I don't know how they found such a great group of people...BUT...they did! I will say a lot more about the wonderful staff later, for now, let me get back on track with the trip report.**

The bellman had waited as we completed our check in and then walked us to our room. Along the way, he pointed out the club lounge and joked around with Goofy about which of the princesses he was there to see. I was very happy with our room placement! We were directly across from the club lounge (if you opened our door you could see the doors for the lounge). It was the perfect location because our room opened to a large area with a smaller seating area right outside of our door, an open area which looked down to the next level where another sitting area held a beautiful fresh flower arrangement smack dab in the middle and then another hall wide area before the doors to the lounge. So, although we were 'right there', we didn't hear any noise from the lounge during the duration of our stay. I will let the room pictures speak for themselves. I thought our room was very nicely done and I really liked the color palette and the small touches.

YUM!

And I saved the best for last...our view!

I have much better pictures of the view...but I am trying to stay 'orderly' this time so I don't confuse myself. HA HA HA...which I am very apt to do if I try to show all of the pictures together instead of in the order in which they were taken. Thus, I shall keep myself moving forward in chronological order. Trust me, it's better for all of us that way. ;)

TO BE CONTINUED...

Love this picture, you did have an amazing view!!!! I had to laugh here about you staying "orderly".....hahahaha....JK. If it keeps you moving forward then I am by all means of you staying in chronological order! LOL. (and yes, I know I have seen many of the pics already but they are so different when included in the actual "story"....so get writing!!! Hahahahah)

Beautiful room and view for sure. That Goofy is so handsome standing there. I still say he is looking more like his dad as he ages. It's so strange how children can look so much like one parent one year and the other the next. And yet they look just like themselves.

What fun is coming.

Ginny

Love the room pics! You guys definitely got lucky with the location. :)
We've always wanted to stay at the Boardwalk and we recently bought DVC so a Boardwalk trip is definitely in our future! :thumbsup2

And I'm jealous about the bubble tea, I haven't had any in awhile! ;)

what a great room!! I would love to stay at the BW one day!

:yay: Oh Jay, I found you!! I'm here!! :yay:

Look at Goofy, so excited!! Loving his outfit...the shorts are esp the bomb!! :yay:

He is growing up so fast. Love that pic of him on page 1 in the red vest!! :goodvibes

And your views at BWI, Jay, HEAVENLY!!! Not to mention those beautiful rooms. We have never stayed at BWI but have spent plenty of time walking around there!!!

Wow, the Boardwalk looks beautiful! I'd love to stay there one day, but only if they do something about that creepy clown.:sad2: Can't wait to hear what you did first!!

Okay, I'm on board. Will have to come back and get caught up later! Can't wait to hear this one! :yay:
There's not really much to keep up with at this point. I will try to keep on top of things though and give you something to catch up on! ;)

I can't even believe it's been 17 mos. I am SO SO SO SO SO SO excited to take her to Disney in December. I showed her Playhouse Disney Live online the other day and she LOVED it!!
I bet you are! We had so much fun with our littlest guy...it's just so magical at that age. EVERYTHING is real to them. It's such a treat!

You KNOW I'm in!
I did know! ;) Or at least I had my fingers and toes crossed that you would be. :rotfl:

I am soooooo excited that your trip report has started! Of course I am joining in for another report!
:thumbsup2 It's good to 'see' you! :)

I will have to read that! I really enjoyed my time at the CSR. Did you like the new Pepper Market? I think I remember that they made some changes since you had last been? My son and I both loved it.

Oh my goodness, he just turned 10? For some reason I thought he was 11! That makes me think he even looks more grown up, he's only about a year older than my youngest, and he certainly looks way older than mine! He's definitely a cutie, Jay. I KNOW! He has always looked a lot older. When we went in for his 3 year well check (a week before his 3rd birthday) the nurse tried doing an eye test wall chart with letters on it with him. I stopped her and said he didn't know his letters as he was not even 3 yet and she was shocked. She thought by looking at him that he was there for his 5 year check. :rotfl:

Ha ha ha, I know, it's hard for me to stay on track, but this time, I am determined to do it! ;)

Beautiful room and view for sure. That Goofy is so handsome standing there. I still say he is looking more like his dad as he ages. It's so strange how children can look so much like one parent one year and the other the next. And yet they look just like themselves.

They all look like their dad. I was just the incubator! ;) Three of the boys (Aladdin, Stitch and Buzz) look like he had clones made. :lmao: And Goofy, although not a clone, could never deny his father. ;)

Love the room pics! You guys definitely got lucky with the location. :)
We've always wanted to stay at the Boardwalk and we recently bought DVC so a Boardwalk trip is definitely in our future! :thumbsup2

Congrats on your DVC purchase! What a great thing for you guys!! I think you would love the Boardwalk! It's amazing!

what a great room!! I would love to stay at the BW one day!
I don't think we could have gotten a better room for our tastes. It was great location, view and condition wise.

:yay: Oh Jay, I found you!! I'm here!! :yay:

Look at Goofy, so excited!! Loving his outfit...the shorts are esp the bomb!! :yay:

And your views at BWI, Jay, HEAVENLY!!! Not to mention those beautiful rooms. We have never stayed at BWI but have spent plenty of time walking around there!!!
Ha ha ha, he LOVES those shorts. He actually has two pairs of them (I got him a pair and my s-i-l bought him the same pair too). He wears them ALL of the time! They are his signature look. :rotfl:

*Sigh* He is growing up so fast! Good to have you here, Kar!

Hi Jay!!! You have started and I missed it! But I'm in for the exciting tale!!! :goodvibes You are off to a wonderful start... first class, limos, BWI, the great bellman, the club staff.... aahhhhh, sounds heavenly! :thumbsup2

Sounds like an amazing trip for you and your son so far. I have never stayed at the Beach Club but my daughter would flip over that light fixture. Thanks for sharing and looking forward to following along...
