Disney Shuttle from MCO Hyatt or airport?

I have booked the MCO Hyatt for Friday night, the night before my cruise on the Disney Treasure. I have also booked a Disney shuttle for Saturday to Port Canaveral. I have read that there could be long waits at the hotel for the shuttle and that you board by status. I'm silver but travelling with bronze.

Would it be quicker to take the shuttle from the airport instead? We are staying somewhere else the night before (Thursday) so the Hyatt isn't necessarily convenient for us. I booked it purely to get on the ship earlier by using the shuttle. I don't want to get on super early, but I have a champagne tasting booked for 2pm.

I have read that at the airport you board the shuttle whenever the next available one is there - you don't board by status. Maybe it's not as busy?

For the airport they've given everyone BG 3 and a PAT of 1045-3(?). Basically you board the busses as they come.

You could stay at the Hyatt and take the transfer from MCO or you could stay somewhere else and just uber to MCO (or take another hotel's airport shuttle to MCO).

I was on the August 16th sailing of the Treasure and they didn't even start boarding until after 1130 and it took a while to clear out everyone who had gotten there from DCL transfers (which started arriving around 1030, when we pulled in they hadn't started letting people into the terminal). If you're not in a rush, I wouldn't get on a transfer leaving MCO until 1030 or 11.

I'm curious about this as well. We've done the airport side a few times, and its first come first served.

While I've seen that the Hyatt MCO asks that you check in at different times based on Castaway Club status, I've heard rumors that it ends up being a free-for-all(i.e. "you're a first time cruiser but showed up at 8:45? Well! You're on the first bus!")

We stayed at the Hyatt MCO and used DCL transportation. Silver status, 10:45 PAT, BG 3. Yes, we did have to wait to board a bus; we were on the second to last one.

However, we still had to wait at the port for around 30 min before they let anyone on the ship, though groups 1-2 went quickly once boarding finally started.

So honestly, even using DCL transportation, it's kind of between whether you prefer to wait at the hotel, airport, or at the port. (Seating at the port was getting kinda full by the time we arrived, though we didn't mind standing for a bit.)

We had a similar experience. Everyone from the MCO Hyatt ended up getting on the ship at the same time. Some just had to wait 15-30 mins for the next bus, while those on the first bus waited longer at the port.
