DH is not all into DTD. We've only been once (back in 2007) and I told him I wanted to go so I could get a scrapbook in that tiny scrapbooking place they had at the time. Plus my boys wanted to check out all the Lego stuff. So we went and I really don't think we were there more than an hour. And most of that time was spent looking at the Lego stuff. I did pop into Goofy's Candy Co to take some pictures (I'm a scrapbooker so I take many pictures) but never did get anything while I was there (DH ALWAYS sat outside whenever I decided go into a store and I HATE that) so I rushed in, took my pictures and left. I never did take them time to really check things out.

Anywhoo, this year I plan on going to DTD by myself while they are at the water park and I'd like to use up any of our snack credits that we may have left over from the dining plan (this will be our last day). I've seen that many people will get the 3 pretzel rods or the rice krispie mickey head or the marshmellows on a stick BUT I'm trying to find out what else they have that can be "handmade" to use as a snack credit? And what about all the other candy/snacks that they have in the store? What can you get for a snack credit? Does anyone have a "menu" of the place (or atleast the handmade stuff) Thanks so much!!!

I couldn't really find a "menu". But I can tell you for a snack credit my husband loves to get the caramel apple at Goofy's. If I let him he would eat one a day while we are there.

Is this what you are looking for?

We got the marshamallow (3) dippend in chocolate for an snack credit and it was huge!!. It also came on a twisty straw which was a cute souvenir

I don't usually care for chocolate but marshmallow dipped in chocolate sounds Yummy!

How many of each thing can you get for a snack credit? Are the pretzel rods still 3 for a credit?

thanks
Xanthe

I think I would get gingerbread cookie, dipped in dark chocolate, topped with crushed pecans and drizzled caramel. And I am not usually a sweets person!!

Here's a shot of the sign about the handmade items. This is next to the order form that was posted above:

And here are some pics of the pre-made items in the cases. I'm not sure which of these count as snack credits though.

So is that printed checklist the only items you can have dipped? I think those big cookies would be fantastic dipped in milk chocolate and then rolled in crushed pb cups. Mmmmm, I make dipped pb cookies at xmas and they are always devoured before everything else.

We were just there and I got the Make Your Own Treat with the Oreo. It was really good. It took me about 3 days to eat! The list posted previous with the cookie missing must be older.

We just went today but I forgot to take a current pic of the menu....they no longer offer Reese's Peanut Butter Cup...just Butterfinger and Reeses Pieces

We just got back and they do have the cookies with chocolate, vanilla or peanut butter filling. No Reese's, just Reese's pieces. 3 pretzel rods per snack credit. They are huge.

:worship: Thank you!! :woohoo: :cheer2: :dance3: :yay:

We got chocolate covered carmel squares, peanut butter sandwiches, fudge, prewrapped dark chocolate bars (approx 2.95 each), of course the make your own pretzel rods etc, almost anything in the case seemed to be something you could get. Most of the prepackaged items were listed as family size so therefore couldn't be on the plan, but there was a lot to choose from. It seems to me we asked about the pucker powder straws and I can't remember what they said. I think you could get the small one.

OMG! i'm salivating.
been to DTD 3 times and never been in Goofys candy store - can't belive what i've been missing. i'll make sure to make up for that in sept - on QSDP. incedently, what is an almond turtle?

For the 3 pretzel sticks, can you order them different ways (ie one dipped in milk chocolate covered with m&Ms, one in dark with . . .)

The menu card doesn't seem to give you the option to do that but I thought I read you could. If so, how do you order that

We did this in December. I marked 3 different toppings: peanut butter cups, crushed oreos and holiday sprinkles and then when I handed it to her I mentioned that I wanted one done in each. I'm not sure if you can customize it further--like each dipped in a different kind of chocolate or each drizzled with something different. We didn't try that.
