DAY 9 - 23rd December 2005
Weather Report: Sunny and warm.
Resort Hopping and Swimming
Last night we had arranged to join Lorraine over at the Polynesion resort for some resort hopping around the MK resorts to see the Christmas decorations.
We caught the bus over to MK, then the resort monorail round to the Poly.

Once we located Lorraine we hopped back on the monorail round to the Grand Floridian. The huge ginger bread house was very impressive

Lorraine and family the Grand Floridian
After a wonder round the grounds, we headed to the Contemparary on the monorail.

MK from the resort monorail.
This was the first time we had been inside the resort apart from passing through on the monorail
After wondering round the resort we jumped back on the monorail to get back to the Poly.
Lorraine and family were driving back up to North Carolina, so we said our goodbyes and parted company
Looking at the lovely sunshine we decided we would make the most of it and go back to the Dolphin for a swim and some lunch.
Back at the Dolphin, we found some loungers by the pool and I went and got the menus from the pool bar and grill.
Dining Review:
Me and the girls - Waterfall burger. This was the best burger I've had so far
Julie - Phily Cheeseteak Sandwich - This was huge and kept Julie quiet for ages
Total cost - $44.52
After letting our lunch go down and enjoying the sun, me and the girls ventured into the pool. It was freezing! But, not too bad once in.
We stayed by the pool all afternoon and went back to the rom to change around 4:30pm.
We decided to keep with the morning theme and do some resort hopping round the other Epcot resorts.
First stop was the Boardwalk. While in the lobby looking at yet another gingerbread construction a juggler came out and start to eerrr. juggle!
We stayed and watched him for a while before moving on to the Beach Club.
In the lobby there was a huge chocolate carrosel (sp??). The sight if all that chocolate made us think of one thing - Beaches and Cream
So we walked round to see if we could bag a table. But there was at least an hours wait! So, as it wasn't too cold, we decided to grab a takeout and sit on one of the outside tables. We all had the 2 scoop sundae
After savouring our sundaes we headed along to the Yacht Club and then finally back to the Dolphin. The kids wanted to play with their Nintendogs, so we left them in the room while Julie and I wondered down towards the bar - as you do
After looking through the cocktail menu we went for a couple of Upside Down thingies (can't remember there name now, so they must have been stong!). I seem to remember they consisted of vanilla vodka, ameratto and pineapple juice - I think!
Total cost - $20.24! You couldn't afford to get drunk on those prices LOL
I think we went back to the room after our cocktail
