Goodbye Mickey, Hello Freddy a Carnival Cruise Report-Update 4/1 Final Thoughts Pg10

I had to laugh at your pic background. They had the same one on Liberty - looks alot like Titanic to me!

OMG it does!!!! I'm picturing Leo at the bottom of the steps waiting on Kate when she kicks the bucket..... "Near, Far, WhereEVER you are......"

BWAHAHAHAH, now you are all singing along!!!!

OMG it does!!!! I'm picturing Leo at the bottom of the steps waiting on Kate when she kicks the bucket..... "Near, Far, WhereEVER you are......"

BWAHAHAHAH, now you are all singing along!!!!

Thanks for that.:rotfl2:
We commented on our cruise we couldn't believe they would remind us of the Titanic while we were on a cruise ship!

Really? No tastings at all? That really surprises me- I sure hope they have them on RCI- I need something to do on my 4 sea days
Ya i was so disapointed, I had read before hand about the Martini one, but was hoping they whould have more. especially since we had 3 sea days since our Puerto Rico was nixed, you better buy some rum runners now to prepair your own tastings

You look GORGEOUS girlfriend!!
aww thank you.. amazing what a pair of spanx does for a gal

This is another GORGEOUS photo- very worth the OUCH!
Thanks, I sort of wish I would have grabbed my glasses too.. but then I sort of feel like it makes me look like a Mob Wife, and were all mafioso LOL:rotfl2:

Yea- you have them well trained- our cabin looked like a crime scene after formal night
That was in the back of my mind while I was threatening.. i mean addressing to them how to nicly hang up their crud LOL

My guess is you should have brought 7 bottles.....
Live and learn!!! :confused3

Do ya think he was scared when he saw you come in?
HA I think I was more scared wondering if he would heckle me again, but then thought he doesnt change his routine for the nightly shows so no way he could come up with something in a matter of 2 hours LOL:lmao:

You really get a LOT done at night!! Sounds like it was a really good time. Gotta run-
Im a night owl, i hate to miss ANYTHING.. except for the occational show, during a "nap":rolleyes1

This pic is GREAT!!!! I love the Chuck Taylors!!!! And the shades...... "here come the men in black......." :rotfl2:
They make this look GOOD.. hehe thanks!

Love your updates! I thought it was so cute all the boys wearing chucks with ther suites...too cute. I also loved your dress!! My favorite pic was the one with all the men wearing sunglasses....:lmao:
I was so against them in their shades.. I knew it would make that white type of spot on their lens's and I just "KNEW" i wasnt going to buy it.. ha and here it turned out the best. thanks

First of all - YOU LOOK HOT!!! You look so beautiful - all that hard work in the gym really paid off. So much so that you might just inspire me to get my fat a$$ off the couch and get back into it.
aww thanks hun, im not even finished yet.. half way there. But getting a groove again with no "goal" is hard. At least this I had this cruise to work towards but now its.. well just to get fit LMAO :rotfl2: so not as exciting as having a vacation to work towards.

I also take all the free toiletries I can get my hands on too! I probably have three cosmetics bags FULL of crap I've taken from hotels & ships over the past year!
oh so good to hear im not the only one. I gave the Disney soap out to my coworkers after our WDW trip as a thank you.. lol cheap and easy just like me! :rolleyes1

So when are you going on your next cruise? I want to come with you! I honestly think you and I are long lost drinking/booze cruisen sisters. ;)
~Harmony
No clue,, we weren planning anything in 2012 cuz E was slated to go to Korea, but that was canked cuz they may be going to Afgan... in 2013 so.. who knows when. Sadly the Marine Corps still doesnt get that I have a disease where I need to plan a vacation.

I'm loving this report, Drea! It is fun to see you comparing Freddy and Mickey.
It seems like you are experiencing some of the same we did on RCCL, although maybe you are having better desserts, and could bring your own soda on. And your other refreshments. They find ways to upcharge alot of things, so your cheaper cruise costs more than you planned - if you fall for it.
So true... its all about sticking to a budget..more or less:rolleyes1

I see the chocolate dessert was a Disney poser!:goodvibes
Had to get a lil Mickey in on the deal LOL

Okay, the guy behind E with the wedgy - :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: I didn't see E on my screen at first, and I was wondering why you had this couple there, especially because the guy looks like he's in pain :lmao:
When I took the pic I didnt even notice HIM. I was taking it to make fun of E and his head cover.. LOL I will say people had no issues with self confidence on Carny. They wore it loud they wore it proud!:scared1:

You all cleaned up real nice for formal night!:thumbsup2 I had to laugh at your pic background. They had the same one on Liberty - looks alot like Titanic to me! Love the shoes with the suit! :thumbsup2 They look great on E - don't think Jim could pull it off.
I noticed in my pic that there is a glass of wine.. so perfect that it made it LOL. Oh but Jim can pull off uggs.. E couldnt so they are 1 and 1 if we were keeping score LOL

The serenade was Hi-Larious!
E missed it cuz he was checking J into the club, told him I was hit on, he said by what a plate on your head.. HA funny man, i think not lol.

OMG it does!!!! I'm picturing Leo at the bottom of the steps waiting on Kate when she kicks the bucket..... "Near, Far, WhereEVER you are......"

BWAHAHAHAH, now you are all singing along!!!!
My heart will go onnnnnnnn:love:

Heya...glad I'm not missing much over here..I'm hopelessly behind on all my TR's. I've been sick as a DOG for two days now and I'm just finally able to get out of bed. Dang Disney germs I guess. ;) Well anyway now that we're back, let the show go on! ;)

**** hi all, sorry Ive been lagging work has been crazy, boys just finished off school and we just signed our lives away to build a pool AHHH. So that boils down to no more cruises for a least a year or 2.. unless its a steal of a deal or as E says I better enter a bunch of contest to win one LOL. Since we have the long weekend off I was finally able to bust out a full day on the trip report. Hope you enjoy. Were off to a BBQ now which sucks cuz its freezing here (Kara that means its 70 and breezy.. yup break out the parkas LOL! Hope everyone enjoys their memorial holiday! ***

Amazing Race

I woke up around 7am to wait for the room service guy. He was here by 715 w/my coffee. Have I mentioned I Love room service. Had a cup o’ joe on the balcony with a danish, while reading my book and listening to the waves. Balcony was wet so it looks liked it rained overnight. Once I was "awake" which on vacation equals about half a pot of coffee and Kalua. I debated going to the gym but breakfast beat it out. But E got up and went to the gym he‘s so dedicated. P woke up so I sent him to the lido deck to get cereal for him bring back to the room while I showered. We woke Sleeping Beauty up (J) and they ate while I had more coffee and finished getting ready. As we were done E came back from his time at the gym we told him to meet us on the lido deck for bingo.

$1000 jackpot here we come!
IMG_1826.jpg

Cost us $20 a ticket times 3 tickets, that’s a lot of DOTD, but the boys love bingo. Points for the mouse, as they had no one directing anyone where to get the cards, and once you did figure out where to get them they didn’t have it hooked to your S&S card, they had to write it out on a paper receipt so it took twice as long.

Disney always seemed more organized and connected to the 21st century to make things run smoother.
IMG_1831.jpg

I also got us a pull tab type game (you pull the tabs I know Im so descriptive and get instant chances to win drinks, toys, prices etc) So we watched as others won bingo, J was close needed 2 numbers to finish his X to win ME some money.. but didn’t happen. None of our pull tabs won anything either. After that we decided to head back to the cabin to change as us losers didnt feel like doing anything else but hitting the pool to drown our sorrows.

It was overcast and we thought it was going to rain but by the time bingo was over the sun was up and HOT. So we headed down to change and pack a pool bag then headed back out to hunt down a chair hog. There was nothing even close to the pool so we had to go up on deck 12 near the kids club/serenity adult area (ya one side is the kids club other side of the ship is the adult area.. Odd IMO)

The boys hit the slide so we didn’t have to worry about them in the pool alone even though they are good swimmers. E and I laid out and fell asleep for a bit.
Don’t ask…

IMG_1836.jpg

He later got in with the boys, I flipped and napped more. Then I went to get some drinks for us all. Quick stop to chat with my favorite bartender whos name I have forgotten.
IMG_1845.jpg

Todays DOTD is a Bahama Mama for this mama
IMG_1847.jpg

I went back and read some of my book then we moved seats as E found some empty chairs on deck 9. Perfect timing as they were having Guess the Celebrity on the Iron Man Screen. Basically they showed a body part (nothing exciting just eyes, nose, mouth etc LOL) no prizes just fun to figure out. I was pretty bad cuz I never remember peoples names. So everyone was that one guy from that one movie.

Eventually we headed to get some food on the lido deck. Boys had hamburgers, I had todays Taste of the Nations-Mediterranean it was different, I enjoyed a new flavor as its not something we have a lot of in my neck of the woods.
IMG_1832.jpg

The boys had probably a gallon of ice cream by the time the day was over too lol.

E and I wanted to go to the Game of Love (Think Newlywed game) at 230pm, but J’s club camp carnival wasn’t open during the 2-3pm time and the Fun Times guide stated to leave the kids behind. Considering how last nights “Family” comedian was we didn’t want to chance him hearing or seeing anything inappropriate. Plus the boys were having fun so no biggie. (But I can tell you now Mickey’s getting 2 points as their clubs are open all day, and when we later caught the show on the tv which was clean enough for us LOL J could have gone but better safe then sorry. But when Disney does the game they usher the spouse off the stage and give them a free drink.. These people had to sit back to back, no drink… now I wasn’t a contestant on either ship but I just think its nice to give away free alcohol.. That’s the kind of host I would be LOL)

Instead at 3pm we went up to Js club to do a family scavenger hunt (since it was open now) it was a digital hunt and so much fun but tiring. The list was long there were things like take a pic of all 12 deck signs and everything you did you had to take the stairs, no elevators so good thing I skipped the gym cuz I got my work out alright. Um another was do the chicken dance, and get people to do a conga line. etc. we had 30mins to do it and ended up doing all but 1 thing.. and still came in last LOL. But J said its not about winning its about having fun. Not sure whos kid he is, LMAO. But we give Freddy a point cuz it was fun, we got the boys to do some stuff they normally would be shy about and we ALL got some exercise in.

Click Here to get a quick recap of our Amazing Race

After they played name that tune in the Camp Carnival Club. We named 13 out of 15 songs. E did most of it I suck at names of songs, its like name the celebrity for me, but this time it was you know that one song from that one band. Of all the songs there were only 2 or 3 that the kids all knew. Hanna Montana and Jonas Brothers etc (ha Notice DISNEY songs, point for the mouse) but it really was a lot more for adults, some P knew. But they really weren’t the 6-8yr old kid era.. heck more my moms era for some. But we all had a good time they gave all the kids a prize for participating.
IMG_1888.jpg

Figuring we had enough sun for the day we headed back to the room showered then ordered some room service.
IMG_1889.jpg

I set my iphone to wake us up at 630pm so we could catch the “family“ show (I never know whats family oriented or not on this ship so I use the term loosely) Nap time
#1 & 2
IMG_1893.jpg

#3
IMG_1892.jpg

...so anyhow at 715pm E woke up all panicked going we missed everything (which is funny cuz normally he is the calm one). Apparnelty in my rush to get a nap in I hit AM not pm... my bad (can I blame it on the Al-al-al-Alcohol?)

I was a lil bummed we missed the show but having caught some the other nights I knew I wasn’t missing out on any great broadway talent or anything. We changed then took J to his club. They didnt want to do dinner with us as they were stuffed and said it still took too long, & we were fine with that.

J’s club was having the following activities he wanted to partake in Talent Show Sing up (We figured for sure it would be his blowing a balloon with his nose El but instead said he was going to dance LOL), Running Triva (part of the ExerSeas block of fun) a dvd game, puzzle racing, and block building challenge (like Jenga)

P called up his friend and they were going to hit the arcade for a bit before their club met up at the 70s disco for a game of twister (which is next to the arcade) after that they were having a dance in the disco club. Then back to Circle C storage closet (I mentioned that place was small right) for a Personality Game, MJ wii game dance off, then finishing the night at the basketball court for Dodge ball.

E and I walked into the dinning room alone and some of our table neighbors asked where the boys were we said they ditched us to go play in the clubs. Dinner tonight was yummy. I had crepes filled with mozzarella, spinach, linguine and sausage for an appetizer.
IMG_1906.jpg

E had ceasar salad no pic Im sure you can imagine what it looks like and steak (do you see a pattern going here) he also asked for a baked potatoe as an additional side.
IMG_1910.jpg

I had coq de something chicken. It was yummy the agratin potatoes were tasteless though
IMG_1909.jpg

Tonight the waiters didn’t sing, they danced and man did they get down… in fact LOW, low, low, low. Dancing on tables and everything.
IMG_1913.jpg

Click here to see the waiters get LOW, Low, Low
I will give Freddy a point as these waiters did put on a good show and looked like they had fun and even like it was a competition(some looked like they had been “dancers” in a previous life LOL)

Dessert was vanilla ice cream for E (he’s so plain)
IMG_1911.jpg

And Bread pudding for me. When I think bread pudding I think bread that is soggy from the sauce that has been cooked with it… not a piece of yellow cake with luke warm sauce on it… 2 bites and I was done.. E knew it must have tasted bad when I finished my cappuccino and pushed the cake away.
IMG_1912.jpg

We killed some time and peeked in on P at his club ya we did a walk by shooting
IMG_1920.jpg

In the main lobby they had a singer playing some nice relaxing tunes
IMG_1921.jpg

Then we went to check out our pics from last night here are a few bootleg pics I got. This is a nice one of the boys no clue why we didn’t get it? LOL
IMG_1897.jpg

This is at our dinning table wish they would have taken one together of all of us which we asked each night but they said no not enough room?? Whatever

IMG_1896.jpg

This one stayed in our pile we collected all week while we debated if we wanted it or not. E really did but at $15 I said NAHHH
IMG_1901.jpg

This is what we look like without our Mafioso glasses
IMG_1895.jpg

We laughed when we saw this one as its so not us, we look way to prim and proper in it.
IMG_1898.jpg

With still more time to kill, we headed over to the lounge to watch some Kareoke. A few of those people could have auditioned for the Voice (sorry Im not an Idol watcher anymore LOL)

We got some beverages cuz all that walking got us parched. A Double rum and coke for E (he said it was more like a triple with a splash of coke. Sweet more bang for your buck. Mine was something on the specials menu. I also have notes that is was rerry string (seriously that’s how it was typed on my netbook notes LMAO) I think anytime you get enough alcohol in 1 drink to make it into 2... You get some serious points. Freddy 1 from E and 1 from Me. I don’t remember Mickey being so liberal with his pouring skills.
IMG_1931.jpg

At 10pm it was time to head up to the Serenity Deck for adult game play (*they really get creative with their names lol). I will note YES this is an 18 and over game.. Do not bring the kids & if you are easily offended don’t go. But if not, your in for a great time lots of laughs OMG it was the funniest, nastiest, raunchiest game there is lol ... so you know we had a blast!
There are no pics of this as we took an Oath prior to started that no pics would be taken and no one would talk about it on Facebook LMAO) Basically it’s a Q & A type game they had a lot of questions that had to do with animals genitals, adult type of “information“, sex, sex and more sex LOL. Best part is in order to answer you have to yell out the male sex organs name. I don’t know if people took it serious or since we were free to act like 13 year old boys but, I have never heard the P word (and I don’t mean my kids name) yelled so many times, with so many accents, and some that knew the answer and said it quietly cuz they were shy (E lol) no worries I spoke up for him! ... Basically I’ll leave it at adults full of alcohol trying to win beads, ships on a stick, and bottles of Champaign so use your imagination and go way into the gutter LOL. Freddy, I laughed so hard and E actually got into the game that I will give you a point.

When that was done we went and got J who won beads in one of his games too.. Hmm wonder what he had to yell out to answer? LOL We called it a night since we had an early day tmrw, St Thomas port. P came in around midnight. We put out the room service card for coffee bagels and cereal, then headed off to dream land.

IMG_1932.jpg

Next Up: 1 iguana, 2iguana, 3 iguana,... watch as mom hits the floor

Tally
Mickey 3
Freddy 5

OK that shower looks impossibly tiny, and I have experienced the toothpaste tube on RCCL. Tell me honestly- did the curtain stick? LOL! :rotfl2:

And they gave free samples of a ton of stuff.. Again why I didn’t take a pic no clue? Our freebies includied some razors, breath strips, crest white strips, pepto sample, and toothpaste, mouthwash, & lotion.
If it's free, it's for me! :thumbsup2

We watched some tv and relaxed, before getting ready for formal night. I will say no trashcans were hurt in this process.. Unlike on our dinsey cruise (Read More About It Here!)
Come to think of it, I do recall seeing one sad looking trashcan on the Magic with a big scuffmark on the side. LOL j/k! :lmao:

We wanted to hit up the family comedy show before dinner so off we went (no stiletto 5k as we had plenty of time to get there.
Amazing what spanx can do for a gal.
IMG_1812.jpg

Sexay! You look mahvelous!

So we decided to leave , BUT being that we were in the 2nd row guess who got heckled? Dude said something along the lines of You should have left the kids in the club, they don’t usually enjoy this show or laugh. My comedy isn’t really for them., but for the parents and the kids to just be quiet. Well Im not one to just be quiet and ignore things so I snapped back… Well when Carnival labels something as a FAMILY production obviously many of us (as I point around the room) thought it would be ok for our “FAMILY”! (ya I so did the quote thing too) And for another thing if your mentioning that kids don’t enjoy or laugh in your show.. Maybe its time to change the routine.. Any “GOOD”” (just emphasized it no quotes this time LOL) comedian would to accommodate their audience. I got a couple claps and OHHHHhhss from the crowd along with that sparked most of the other families to head out also! Oh Freddy not sure who is rating your shows but you get 4 thumbs down on this one.

Holee crapoli! Good for you for having the balls to yell back at the guy! I would be mortified!

So We let the boys pick one but they wanted to wear their glasses.. Crap I didn’t bring mine. Oh well of all the pics we took this is the best one we bought.. For $29 OUCH
scan0066.jpg

Awesome! Love it! :cool2:

E & I took a nice one and look he’s sort of smiling
scan0064.jpg

Aww...so sweet!

So we started on our food, I had shirmp cocktail and stuffed mushrooms for an appy, then the surf and turf. Smallest lobster around.. Thought they made a mistake at 1st and gave me a prawn LOL

I don't know...Ron's was pretty tiny on our cruise too. And it was a bad Sarah night so he never got a second one. Meanwhile the next table over got 2 huge humungous monsters to start out with.

Before dessert came out the wait staff put on a show, and sang that’s Amore. I think if your on the 1st level of the dinning room you get a better view all I saw was tushies, not that its a bad thing...lol. Until I got serenaded.. Must have been cuz E was gone and I looked so lonely with 2 desserts LOL
That‘s Amore Video

LMAO, that singing sounds atrocious! :rotfl2:

Well actually the 9-17yr old were in there.. hmm not sure I would like that if I had a 11yr old girl, dancing with a 15yr old boy LOL.

Uh, yeah...NO!:scared:

My awesome photo skills in full effect
IMG_1816.jpg

I notice a direct effect re: amount of alcohol relative to quality of pics. just sayin. :rolleyes1;)

Since we were alone, we went to the adult comedy club with the same comedian from earlier John Rathbone. And this time he was funny since it was all meant for us. A much DIRTIER version of the earlier “family“ show.

Did he recognize you? haha!

see.... :rotfl:

I also got us a pull tab type game (you pull the tabs I know Im so descriptive and get instant chances to win drinks, toys, prices etc) So we watched as others won bingo, J was close needed 2 numbers to finish his X to win ME some money.. but didn’t happen. None of our pull tabs won anything either. After that we decided to head back to the cabin to change as us losers didnt feel like doing anything else but hitting the pool to drown our sorrows.

Bummer. I actually won once, on my first time playing Bingo on a cruise. So naturally I expected to win every time. The second (and last) time I was extremely disappointed.

. So we headed down to change and pack a pool bag then headed back out to hunt down a chair hog.

Ha! There is an awesome chair hog thread on CC on the Allure board right now where a guy sat there and took pictures of chair hogs coming back to find their chairs taken or interacting with deck patrol. Funny stuff!

There was nothing even close to the pool so we had to go up on deck 12 near the kids club/serenity adult area (ya one side is the kids club other side of the ship is the adult area.. Odd IMO)

That is strange. I assume you could hear the screams of the kiddos from the Adult area, no?

I went back and read some of my book then we moved seats as E found some empty chairs on deck 9. Perfect timing as they were having Guess the Celebrity on the Iron Man Screen. Basically they showed a body part (nothing exciting just eyes, nose, mouth etc LOL) no prizes just fun to figure out. I was pretty bad cuz I never remember peoples names. So everyone was that one guy from that one movie.

Oh that is so me too. :rotfl2:

(But I can tell you now Mickey’s getting 2 points as their clubs are open all day,

Yeah this is a real pain on RCCL too. The way they are marketing the RCCL Dreamworks and their ships overall as a "family" experience - I certainly did not expect that to be a problem. They do stay open during the daytime hours, but to be in the club on certain days from 12-3ish there is a charge !!?!?!?) And the funny thing is IIRC it is sea days they charge you - not the port days. I would totally expect the opposite. :confused3

But we give Freddy a point cuz it was fun, we got the boys to do some stuff they normally would be shy about and we ALL got some exercise in.

Click Here to get a quick recap of our Amazing Race
Oh wow- that DOES look fun!!!!:thumbsup2 Great video too! I can't even imagine taking the stairs from bottom to top- ugh! I remember all the adults gently scolded me for making all the "up and downs" in the Trick or Treat (lol- and I never took them below deck 3!) :lmao:

After they played name that tune in the Camp Carnival Club. We named 13 out of 15 songs. E did most of it I suck at names of songs, its like name the celebrity for me, but this time it was you know that one song from that one band.
Ah now THIS is right up my alley. Songs, artists, and timeframes I can do. Well..excpet for Rat Pack swing stuff and 70's AM Gold. Telling the difference between Neil Diamond and Barry Manilow is harder than you'd think!

...so anyhow at 715pm E woke up all panicked going *** we missed everything (which is funny cuz normally he is the calm one). Apparnelty in my rush to get a nap in I hit AM not pm... my bad (can I blame it on the Al-al-al-Alcohol?)

Another direct correlation! Hey at least you didn't miss din din!

J’s club was having the following activities he wanted to partake in Talent Show Sing up (We figured for sure it would be his blowing a balloon with his nose El but instead said he was going to dance LOL),

Aw man! He would have gotten a ship on a stick for sure if he did the balloon trick, now THAT is talent!

Tonight the waiters didn’t sing, they danced and man did they get down… in face LOW, low, low, low. Dancing on tables and everything.
IMG_1913.jpg

Click here to see the waiters get LOW, Low, Low
I will give Freddy a point as these waiters did put on a good show and looked like they had fun and even like it was a completion (some looked like they had been “dancers” in a previous life LOL)

Ok, usually I am not a big fan of the dining room antics. But this is pretty downright entertaining. Mr. Spielberg. :) Would been more entertaining if they were actually wearing Apple Bottom jeans and boots wit da fur though!

Ya, thats just wrong. It LOOKS gross. Thumbs down on this one but I have to say most of the food overall looks pretty good!

Then we went to check out our pics from last night here are a few bootleg pics I got.

HOW do you do it?!?!? I didn't even try on Disney (couldn't have because we always had a Shutters person around us, but I wouldn't have tried anyway I would have felt too guilty cause they were so awesome in there!. Of course you remember on RCCL I got caught and they threw away all my pictures.

With still more time to kill, we headed over to the lounge to watch some Kareoke. A few of those people could have auditioned for the Voice (sorry Im not an Idol watcher anymore LOL)

Well that's no fun, it's the bad ones you want to hear! Haha! I will say on Disney it was only kids and that was pretty boring (unless it was your own or another disers kid!)

Mine was something on the specials menu. I also have notes that is was rerry string (seriously that’s how it was typed on my netbook notes LMAO)

Classic Drea!

When that was done we went and got J who won beads I one of his games too.. Hmm wonder what he had to yell out to answer? LOL

Ha!

OK...whew...finally all caught up on yours. Too bad I have a bunch more to catch up on. You know we are down to one computer again. Ron is so desperate he's ont eh internet on the wii. Oh well...HE is the one who broke it. That's right, another broken laptop. Are you counting? Is *anyone* counting how many computers we've gone through the last 2 or 3 years?!?!? We have to be nearing 20 now. (!)

Ready for more Freddy!

/
OHH no not another one lost. Our Desktop is so slow We took it in to be "cleaned" but its still horrible. I even moved all our pics and music to a 1tb (tara bite that right? whatever the biggest one is LOL) hard drive but its still SLOW. kills me, maybe you and I arent meant to have electronics LOL

So wait RCCL charges during the day also! So they WANT me to spend all moments with my children.. all day.. are they crazy...?

I wish they would just put all pics on a cd. Charge a flat fee and they will make out! I would buy a cd for $150-200. but maybe thats just the crazy picture freak I am!

Now off to check out that chair hog thread.

Btw how you feeling Jen?

This looks fantastic!

I'm working on DH and the kids to do another 7 night cruise on the Legend in August.

If you get a hankering to do another Carnival cruise, the Carnival Legend out of Tampa has a sweet itinerary, a nice departure port, and the crew on that ship is really sweet!

Congratulations on getting your new pool, how exciting!! I would love to have one in my backyard... one of these days..LOL. Sounds like the adult game was a lot of fun!! :rolleyes1 Can't wait to hear more.

I'v always wanted to take a cruise and one day I will, I even live in fla. so I can skip the 1000 doller plane ride.

But man that room looks small.

Hi Drea! We were in LA over the weekend and I thought about you! It was cold on Sunday in Anaheim, too. Really nice yesterday though!

I loved your relaxing sea day!
Looks like E picked up some desert skills with his headgear at the pool:rotfl2:
Too bad you didn't win with the bingo. Sounds like the boys were good sports.
A nice long nap on a sea day is a must :thumbsup2
Funny about the club having such limited hours.
Nice job on the Scavenger hunt - What was the task you missed?
Okay, that is so not bread pudding - I'm glad your meals were mostly good, though.

This looks fantastic!

If you get a hankering to do another Carnival cruise, the Carnival Legend out of Tampa has a sweet itinerary, a nice departure port, and the crew on that ship is really sweet!
OH I got a hankering alright.. but limited funds now with the new purchase for the house LOL.

Congratulations on getting your new pool, how exciting!! I would love to have one in my backyard... one of these days..LOL. Sounds like the adult game was a lot of fun!! :rolleyes1 Can't wait to hear more.
thanks! it is but at the same time im more scared with this then when we bought our house LOL more options and things you have to pick out and deceide on where etc.. Yes the adult game was very fun. My husband is sort of shy/prude if you will (i know what marine is like that LOL, he's weird) but he had a blast. If this was cruise critic i would have gone into more detail but since its the dis I was afraid to even put the description that I did LOL

I'v always wanted to take a cruise and one day I will, I even live in fla. so I can skip the 1000 doller plane ride.

But man that room looks small.
Oh you are already 3/4 a way done if you live in Fl! do it! Yes the rooms are smaller then your average hotel room. But to be honest you really dont spend much time in them. There is so much to do and see your only in the room for short periods. The biggest ways to save room is to not overpack... ive never been able to accomplish that yet LOL really the only time we were in our room was to sleep, shower, and get ready. There are 4 of us and granted my boys are small we still had plenty of room. I say do it!! lol youll love it. weve done inside, window and now balcony. I honsestly think i couldnt do anything less then a window but if it was inside or no cruise at all.. inside is fine by me LOL

Hi Drea! We were in LA over the weekend and I thought about you! It was cold on Sunday in Anaheim, too. Really nice yesterday though!
I remember you saying about coming back down for your neices graduation how fun!
Nice job on the Scavenger hunt - What was the task you missed?Had to write Camp Carnival on your face. I didnt have any lipstick on me or a marker and the boys were NOT into anything being written on their face LOL
Okay, that is so not bread pudding - I'm glad your meals were mostly good, though.
I have to say food was hit or miss.. overall it was good.. heck i wasnt cooking anything was great LOL. but i was only wowed a few times. But that went for disney and RCCL too.. guess with any restuarnt thats the same

Doin' tha bump....

Don't leave us hanging Drea!

man i have been so out of it. So I had things to do around the house so I got of the loop, went to Dland with some friends mostly just hit the bar in downtown Dland LOL, then we went camping lots more drinks to keep warm at night an cool during the day, then one of my bestiest friends is leaving and being stationed in Texas, so I spent the weekend in San Diego (my liver is still recooperating) and now ive just hit laziness.. I cant even say ive been hitting the gym cuz im ditching it daily lol. but im trying to get back into somewhat of a rythem again..

Quick recap.. pools amost done and thank god cuz its creaping into the 100's slowly. E tried to volunteer for 2 different tours to Afgan and they denied him says he's needed where he is.. theres one more he's trying for (i know odd people volunteer to go to var but its in the blood) as he hasnt had a deploy at his current rank and it would help get him to the next one.. maybe LOL. Boys are out of school and enjoying their lazy days, my mom who watches them though is counting down the days till they go back LOL. and ME just working my tooshy off (not literally member told you im not going to the gym LOL) But im back and im getting the next chapter going. I PROMISE.. but thanks for sticking around and keeping on me... really dont want this to end up like my last WDW trip lol...

UP NEXT ST THOMAS I PROMISE Im uploading pics as we speak.. err I type LOL.

:scared1:1 iguana, 2iguana, 3 iguanas,... watch as mom hits the floor:scared1:

I got up early as usually and was out on deck by 645am, I think its just my nature to not sleep late on vacation afraid Ill miss something. I figure I can sleep when Im home or when I die LOL. When I was out on the balcony I saw us slowly pulling into port.

I started getting ready and once E was up he noticed that it was already 7 and our room service ticket that we hung on our door the night before hadn’t been picked up. It said put out by 5am... we did it at 11pm the night before. So now we had to rush even more to get ready and head up to lido to get some chow. (1 Point for Mickey they always came) I had originally planned for us to do the helmet dive at Coral World on our own, but after weeks of not hearing back from Coral World I gave up and just booked with the ship. It was only about $25 more a person. But gave me peace of mind a few others from my meets thread had the same issue and booked via Carnival also. So we had to be on the pier by 830am. (Point for Freddy here, no having to go to a certain room to get a sticker to wait around to then go to the pier... We just went straight to the pier and saw the big sign that said CORAL WORLD)

Suffice to say without our coffee I was peeved to say the least, as the call for room serve wait was over 45mins and we didn’t want to chance it. We were in the buffet line by 720. Cereal for the boys. Omelets for E and I and down on the pier by 825. Wow talk about cutting it close. We do that for most of our excursions we figured out. lol yeah for consistency.

Once we met up with our group we waited for one more family (awesome we werent last LOL) and then walked over to the open air vans to be taken to coral world.
IMG_1937.jpg

After a 20min drive we were there, wow and we thought we were paying a lot for gas back in March. (were almost paying that now in Cali)
IMG_1939.jpg

We opted to be the 2nd group to do the dive so we went and explored the aquariums to see all the fish and animals they had. Easily can do in about 20mins we even hit the gift shop for a postcard of the place.

That turtles huge (ya I know that what she said)

So perdy

We basically had the whole place to ourselves

Once we were up on deck (sorry baseball term) we headed back to the meeting area and signed our life away on the health/permission slips. Our tour guide showed us how the helmets worked and what to do and expect down there. I was worried about how the boys would do. Well P in particular is who I was worried about. He is my timid one and he didn’t want to do this at first but I talked him into it.. Ok more like E and I kept saying your lil brothers gonna do it, you cant let him do it and you not do it LOL. Ya we are awesome parents like that LOL.

Becareful where you walk, as these BIG ol suckers are everywhere..
IMG_1944.jpg

And they feed them so they keep coming back, I was out of there.
IMG_1963.jpg

There was a couple, then 3 friends then us in our group. The girl in the couple chickened out as soon as she stepped on the ladder. Her man was NOT happy. Neither was I was worried it would make P chicken out. I went down 1st then J then P and E in the rear.. you sort of go in panic mode at 1st until you get the feeling of it. Your ears plug so you put your hand up thru the mask and try and hold your nose to pop them.

Once all of us were down we started making our way around the underwater village thingy, they had given us hand signs before hand and I kept doing the ok sign to the boys to make sure they were good to go. Of course they were I was just paranoid about it. We had a great time with it and the boys thought it was SOOO cool. J wanted to take the video in to show his class. P said he will put it on youtube and show his friends… love how the technology has advanced lol.

We rinsed off in the showers, then waited and waited for the shuttle to take us back to the pier. We could have gone down to the local beach and had a drink for as long as it took for them to get ready and take us back.

MAN those roads are narrow
IMG_2037.jpg

But the views are worth it
IMG_2040.jpg

Back to the ship to eat some lunch, drop off the wet towels and check out new ones
IMG_2043.jpg

E wanted to eat here.. (he’s from Texas LOL)
IMG_2044.jpg

Boys had burgers, hot dogs and nachos. I had the Taste of the nations Caribbean flare. Cant comment if it was great or not since I didn’t mention anything in my notes so I guess it was nothing to write home about.
