Good Karma...

Let me start this story with my doctors said I could go to Disneyland Sunday but I had to be in a wheelchair. $35 later I had a scooter and all I can say is it's a pain. Had one person say, "Oh you are so lucky, you get to go to the front of the line." All I can say is I ride more rides walking than in a wheelchair line or no line. Not going back until I can walk. LOL

But let's get to the good karma. One of my reasons for going was to score some pirate rooms and wells. They will not give you a card without seeing a ticket or ap for that day. So disappointed that I could not get more than one.

Went off to another boards noon meet where I was crying that I could not get more cards. 4 of my friends went off and got the cards for me. Have already gifted three of the rooms and wells, kept one set for myself and will be trading the other set.

Since I normally go to Disneyland every weekend I like to share the vmk cards with other that can't get to a park. To me gifting is one of the best thing about vmk.

While at the meet a couple came up that none of us had the pleasure of meeting in person. They live in Phoenix, where I moved from two years ago so we really hit it off. Anyway they heard me talking about friends on vmk and how much I enjoyed them. Next thing I know I am being handed the complete Stitch set. They had no use for it and were so happy to give to someone that is so into the game. LOL

Let's say what goes around comes around. I always tell my friends on vmk when they want to give me something to give to a new player or someone that can use it.

Can we say Good Karma.

Yes, Good Karma is always around the corner. When you don't beg saying "OMG I want it plz plz plz" but instead gift someone something you don't need or you treasure you usually get something back in return.

Well Yesterday someone said they would give me a green backwards hat because I wanted it they said they would give me it for free and to give someone something in return. Well one of my friends i gifted a Peter pan hat. They loved it. I think I liked it better gifting people then getting things

Even when you won't get to get the best stuff because you can't go to Disney Land/World (Like me LOL) You still have fun giving to other people and well that's something magical that people do

Thank you judimouse for your generosity! Although you have not gifted me anything (actually I would rather earn it somehow, I feel better about having an item if I feel I earned it), you have traded with me in what I consider generous trades. I'm relatively new (about 2 months old, just a baby) so I don't have many rares. I do, however, do as many host games as I can (that's a lot of work, trying to get in line and praying you don't DC, waiting in line and praying you don't DC, then hoping you are lucky to win and praying you don't DC - actually can be kind of stressful) to obtain trade-ables.

So I just wanted to say thank you very much, and hope you get better soon!

Great story JM.

Maybe more DLR VMKers should chat around the parks ;)

I know there has to be alot of those stitch sets out there just looking for a good home.

I was at DLR too for the meet with DaraAllen, Lady Bodecia and Prince Jeffery. When I was at VMK Central getting some wells, a woman was asking the CM about the cards she got for her trip. Her family did not play VMK. I offered her $20 for the Stitch cards. I am now the proud owner of a Stitch hat. :stitch:

And as far as the Karma stuff goes I probably had THE WORST parking spot. 4 cars from the end of the row in the LAST row of the Mickey and Friends parking structure. LOL

I wanted to share something I've known about Judi going on about almost
5 years now. I've known her from the RADP newsgroup and the December
meets (now morphed into MouseFest).

She had a group meet of breakfast and a trip to the Belz outlets set for
one of the days on one of those RADP trips. I had rented a car, but she
offered to pack more people into hers (split duties with another gal)
rather than me driving.

Sure, that was nice, but later, she did something even nicer. One couple
in our group shopping trip had to cut it short and get back to the airport.
Judi interrupted her shopping to drive them to the airport personally!

Yes, I've known that about Judi for a while, now. :)

A litle OT, but...If any of you don't want your used cards, I would love to give them a good home in my collection :) All I'm missing is the Stitch cards...

Lori,

I had forgotten about that trip. Bianca was the other driver.

Did you know that I had to drive them back to the Swan to get a jacket they left and then to the airport? :)

Not that I need to do anymore shopping.

Thanks for the memories.

What a great story Judi! Yes Karma is great. Good things happen to good people. :)

And Congrats to you CoasterGuy - I know you have wanted that hat for a long time. (I remember that picture of you with the GoldDoors and your Real Stitch Hat.)

yes good karma is the best, i recently gifted a pirate's hat, and i gifted a dress to my sister (not sure if it was really considered a gift because i knew she wanted one so i traded for one for her). well, it fills me with joy to see that she has decided to gift her dress to someone else (how sweet coming from a 7 year old kid!). anyways, i was recently gifted a gold dress (it was part of dis buddies, but in my opinion, it was a generous gift). so the day after i got the dress, i was asked to trade it for a blue one. they told me i was crazy not to make the trade because "blue is much rarer" but i told them that it wasn't really about the rare, but about getting something you really wanted, whether it is the rarest thing or not (i've been wanting a gold dress from the day i started).

now just to see what my little sister will get from good karma!

that is ausome if you would i wont be able to go to disney land for more than a year and i was wondering if you could gift me the room and or the weel i do not want everyone to copy me because then it become a gift thread and they would have to shut it down! and everyone should be able to read this!!!

Sorry the five rooms I had are now gone. I tend to gift the people I have know for a while on Dis, another vmk board, and online friends.

The quickest way NOT to get a gift from me is to ask.

I recently helped a newer friend through his 85 ghost quest - TWICE - he got dc shortly thereafter I think and had to do it again (I am always happy to do that for anyone needing it, so it was no big deal for me). Just a coupla days ago, he came around and thanked me by gifting me a Well!! I told him he did not need to, but he insisted. Thanks buddy!
Now I need a new pirate room.. Anyone need help with mansion? LOL

Well I have to say that anything Judimouse gets is only a small portion of the Karma she has earned.

The world is a much better place because of people like JM !!

Sorry that I haven't had the pleasure of meeting you yet judimouse, but thank you so much for sharing this story, and the good advice. I have always believed that the quickest path to feeling better inside is to focus attention, time, caring.. etc.. to others rather than being focused on self. I love the opportunity that vmk gives us to exercise generosity. One thing I enjoy doing is visiting trade rooms and just finding a corner out of the way to sit and listen and watch. I pay close attention and when someone polite, who seems genuine is looking for a certain item I spontaneously gift them. Often they want to make a fair trade, and at times I do that too, but I love being able to gift to someone least expecting it.
