Good donuts close to WDW?

Takes about 15 min (maybe a bit more) from AKL, going down to 192 and picking up 25/27. Might be quicker for you, depending on which resort you're staying at.

Look interesting, but north of 50, this place is easily 30 minutes from AKL, and that's without traffic on 192.

I just took a look and it is a 30 minute drive. That's too far.

It's not the most creative of names...could be more than one person has used it.

Now that I think about it the donut place I'm thinking about on 192 by the Osceola county stadium isn't Donut King,in fact it has an even less creative name as I believe it just says DONUTS in different colored letters,very generic looking.

I've done the drive, about 7 times...it doesn't take nearly long.

Your only other choices, closer, are the chains (DD and KK), pretty much. We've scoured that area and, unless something new has or is opening soon.....there's not much RIGHT around WDW that's not "box store/big business"...and it's hard to find good quality "stuff" in those types of places.

You're driving in, right? What's your route? There's a couple places along 4, coming INTO Orlando (just north), that are worth a stop.....Maybe make a quick on/off stop just prior to arriving?

From AKL front door to donut king front door, 20 min. It's about 20 miles away...pretty much right AT the 50 intersection. If you're staying at a monorail resort, it'll take you longer because you probably have to use surface streets to shoot up, catch 50, and then head west.

I've made the drive about 7 times, now, from AKL. GPS says 30 min...it doesn't take that long.

I will say this: I've NEVER hit slow traffic (bumper to bumper) on 192. We typically make the drive very early in the AM, or after dinner time.

Considering the OP is saying they're arriving at about 9 PM....traffic SHOULDN'T be a problem.

I love Donuts as well. Last year we were staying at the Marriott World and earned a free breakfast. Now, you can imagine, the breakfast at the Marriott world is as big as the hotel which is huge. So we get down there, they have everything you can think of and I see a chef behind a table with a little cooker in front of it. I stop to take a look and, MY GOD, fresh made donuts to order!!! Well, actually donut holes but they were incredible. They would make up a half dozen right in front of you, put them in a bag of cinammon, and serve them to you. They were fantastic. It was all i could do to eat some fruit and other foods. So, if you are staying at the world, go get breakfast!!!
