Maybe you need to try some more then - there are some really nice restaurants in Disney (as well as some overrated ones!)

We have been lucky enough to get good deals on free dining (long gone IMO) or dine with 50% CM discount. I can only think of Trails End I will pay for OOP, love the food there.
When you take into account the overpriced food, beer $7-8 pint ($2-$3 offsite) then 20% tip ontop it's just not worth that kind of money to me. I fully appreciate people don't drive or kids like to do character meals etc but its not for us.
