What is the
Lego storage thingy? I am so tired of stepping on Legos, if there is some neato way to store them maybe my son might be inspired to actually put them away once in a while.
The answer .
I got it at Fred Meyer (Kroger), but I see it for the same price that I got it (49.99) on CSNStores (do a search for "lego iris", and I think that's how I found it there). It's full price on
amazon, silly them.
We just put all of his "guys", which typically includes robots, droids, and monsters as well as humanoids, into one of the pull-out "boxes" (which are quite a bit like my 12x12 Iris brand scrapbook storage box/case), and there is a TON of room left. And I'm not saying that he doesn't have much, because he does, especially with his liberal interpretation of "guys" or "figures".
Then we chose some easily distinguishable colors to mix together, and one case has blue and white, another has black and red, etc etc. If we get a second one, then each color can have its own spot.
But now...what do I do with all of these plastic shoe bins? Thankfully I bought almost all of them on spectacular sale at Target, but really, I don't need all these bins. (or
do I????)
Well we still need 4, to hold the "miscellaneous" legos, that WILL BE sorted into color-specific holders....
A very auspicious start to R's trip, with all the organizing and bonding fun. (along with safe and tasty rootbeer floats (with ingredients from Trader Joe's)!)
