Whole new meaning now.

We can't live in fear, stay inside locked up with the blinds drawn...sooner or later you have to go outside.

Everyone that lives in this area (Metro D.C., Maryland, Virginia) stay safe, stay alert and hit the deck if you hear any shots! :(

My thoughts are of you and others in your area Blondie. Stay safe! {{{hugs}}}

My thoughts are also with you and others that are unfortunately at this time, living in fear - Please keep yourself safe - I pray that they get this monster soon!

I live in Michigan, and the other day as I was standing beside my vehicle pumping gas I found myself thinking of what has been going on, about how people in your area must feel...if it can happen there, it can happen anywhere....I hope they catch the guy soon. What is this world coming to.....*sigh*

I can't even imagine how scared all of you must be. I'm terrified for you, and we have nothing to be scared of here. Take care of yourselves.

I can't even imagine the fear all of you in the DC area are experiencing. Stay alert, stay safe.

I'd be freaking out. Even now I am a bit scared. There's no reason this guy might not start heading cross-country.

Stay safe everyone.

Is travel still restricted ? I heard 95 was closed for a while. Have you been out and about today?

{{HUGS}} I could think of nothing but you guys up there when I got gas yesterday. I even felt weird and I'm hundreds of miles away! Stay safe!!

We have a gas station close to our house which is located .3 of a mile from the interstate. I leave work very early and often stop there around 5:15 am to get gas. I've thought for a while this isn't a good idea as it has been robbed a few times. Now, I think about what if someone was sitting across the road somewhere ready to plink someone off. May sound paranoid, but I don't think I'll be stopping there to get gas in the dark mornings anymore.:( I don't get what is going on in the world.:(

Please stay safe everyone.

I would be so scared to go anywhere!! Heck I went over to the Mall in Battle Creek and caught myself "looking around" as I walked to and from my car!! I can't imagine how you guys are dealing with this!!!

We can buy gas on base, but we never did before - we have a favorite station that is down Route 1, right after the Wilson Bridge. It is family owned, and the people are great, plus the gas runs .10 - .15 per gallon cheaper than on base, and we get a 3% rebate using our credit card. But the problem is, it is about 200 yards from the on-ramp to the outer loop of the Beltway.

I hate to make our friend lose business, but there is no way I'm going to buy my gas there until this guy is caught. Others must have the same idea, as the lines at the base gas station are always long now. That was rarely the case before the sniper.
