Going back to both worlds!! Disney & Volunteering at GKTW!! ITS HERE!! 5/31

I really am a little computer handicapped! How do I find the tutorial for the bags. Yours are wonderful!

Not sure if you looked at the ones VBAndrea posted, but this is one I look at most.
BOXY BAG
Let me know if that works.

love all the bags you did a great job!

for the gktw shirts how about some vinyl...created something on the computer and print it off....check out the DISigners page too, or maybe one of the other DISBoutiquers will have some suggestions!

I would definately spend the extra day at Epcot...that's easily a 2-3 day park for us, we LOVE IT!

I will have to post over there... good idea.

:wave2: Followed your over from the DISboutique thread.

Looks like we might be down there around the same time. We head down on Thursday June 21st
:welcome::wave2:

WE will be at GKTW that day. OOOOHHHHH.... Maybe we can run into eachother?!?!?!?:confused3

GET UP LAZY DOGGIE!!!! I NEED Andrea to go grocery shopping today...so I can get my Andrea sewing fix I haven't gotten in FOREVER!

That cracked me up! Did y'all get to sew???? If I was the jealous kind, I would be jealous!

LOVED your bags you made, The kitchen flood...not at all! SO SORRY to read that, but excited to hear Allison is feeling a bit better. YEA!!! She needs strength for the trip! I am so impressed at your sewing skills!!!
Thank you. The kitchen will come along... I am happy that she is feeling better too, but since she is tapering on her prednisone she is starting to have days of increasing yuckiness.. Not that its a word. But you know what I mean.

Maybe you can see some of my sewing skills in person. Can't wait till August.

Lazy Doggie got up! I went grocery shopping. And Amy came over yesterday. We only had a couple of hours and got done what she needed to do, though I feel like we did very little. Perhaps we talk more than we sew :confused3 She just needed names embroidered for bags for gifts. And she dropped off some t's that I will embroider for her (which I noticed she did not prewash :laundy:). No big deal -- I have plenty of laundry to do -- I have to post wash some BG items anyway to send.

And I am the jealous type. See that little ticker on your sig -- yep, I'm jealous!!!!

And I just thought I'd let all know I got woken at 5am by the opossum plucking on our door to the screened in porch, yet the trap remains empty (aside form the food for bait!). We'll never get rid of Blossom! She needs a new home and I only have the trap until Thursday (Animal Control loans the traps and relocates the critter for the you :) )

:laundy: I hate laundry, so I figured you wouldn't mind a little extra work!:lmao:. Was I wrong?:confused3

:rolleyes1 TALKING TOO MUCH :chat:.. NEVER!! I think that 3 names in 3 hours :eek:is the exact time it takes!! :rotfl2:

I can't believe Blossom is coming to the door. She is crazy. Can you put the tuna in a different location to get her to go in the trap?

Glad Alexa did well today.

I am stuck on an outfit for Jonathon (5) for animal Kingdom. Any helpful suggestions?? Then there is Epcot too?!?!

This week I am busy making bags for my MIL and Jonathon's teachers. I ran out of fabric for at least part of each of the bags and not having luck finding all of it. I must go to bed. Today was super busy and I am afraid tomorrow will be the same.

It looks like I am stalking Michelle this AM! Everywhere I go she has already been...except for no more, I must shower before Pete gets up...

:lmao: I hate when I wake up at 3am wide awake.

WE will be at GKTW that day. OOOOHHHHH.... Maybe we can run into eachother?!?!?!?:confused3

Well since we have seen each others outfits we should recognize each other right:lmao:

Thank you for the links on how to make the cosmetic bage! It looks like something I might be able to do. I'm looking forward to trying

Next time you come over I'm making you iron my kids clothes. You should see the pile of ironing I accumulated and now my ds's hamper is full again.

Blossom turned out to be Sam. At least that's what Alexa named the Raccoon since we didn't know if it was a boy or girl -- it was sooooooo beautiful. So perhaps Sam is the one that was trying to break into our screened in porch. The animal control lady said opossums usually don't hang around in the same spot long so she feels either the raccoon or a fox ate the eggs. We had that trap out for two weeks before we caught a thing though, so who knows. If I keep getting woken up or have any more opossum sightings we'll be getting another trap. And hopefully Sam will be relocated to a nicer environment to live in.

I put outfit ideas on the Disbout and am too tired to type it again here!

Oh no, what fabric did you run out of? The print?

Quick post then off to bed. WIll reply tomorrow!

Not Disney, but I put this together for My MIL. (DH is in the Navy) I went to Andrea's and she did the NAVY MOM wording. If it's off center it's because I have the hardest time with the Aivilo tote and putting the zipper on. I find that it's not 100% accurate at that point... or I measure way off. I can never get the zipper to line up right with the exterior lining. SO tonight I folded the interior lining down (a little too much) before sewing the zipper on. It worked better, but still not perfect. And Zippers are not my machines friend.. i break a needle everytime!!

Anyone have any suggestions on the zipper? I plan to make 2 teacher bags tomorrow, but will use the magnetic snap.. wish me luck!

FOr those who don't read along on Disbout, the wording is NOT off center. See our marking lines (the white line) on the wording? It lines up perfectly with the division in the pockets. The "N" and "M" are wider letters so that's why it may appear off -- but Amy actually centered it PERFECTLY!

I can't STAND opossums!

There is a wooded lot behind our house (though it's not large -- in winter you can see the house behind it). We also have a huge koi pond in our yard (I think dh estimates over 3000 gallons but I think it's probably larger). And we have a fair amount of trees. We have seen fox, opossum, numerous snakes :scared1: , osprey, hawks, a gorgeous blue heron that ate most of our koi last spring, ducks, rabbits, squirrels and the usual. Our pond is full of frogs too -- one is larger than my hand but most are much smaller. I have never seen deer in our yard b/c we have a 6 ft fence -- I saw a buck in our cul-de-sac one night though. We don't see deer as often as we used to because they are doing so much building in the area now -- they are now putting a road through one of the wooded areas near our subdivison which the kids used to go biking in and see deer often.

Anyway, I was awoken again at 4:03 this morning by a critter trying to get into our screened in porch. Clearly Sam was not the culprit and I will have to get another trap from animal control. And I know I've mentioned it before, but I will again as this is important to me, animal control relocates the caught animals to non residential areas where they can live happily ever after. We only decided to do the trap this year since something ate the ducklings and eggs. I love nature and love having wild animals around (except the snakes -- they are not my cup of tea). We saw a water moccasin yesterday at Back Bay on the kids field trip -- :scared1::scared1::scared1::eek::eek::eek:

Awesome!!!! Love the interior fabric -- and see, the magnetic snaps are easy!

Dumbo and TInk are done! I have a love/hate relation with those shirts. I like the fabric and they seem like they will be nice and cool for the girls, but I was sooooooooo scared I was going to put a hole in them when cutting the applique fabric. But I made it through both of them without doing any damage! However, the fabric I used for Dumbo's ears is thin and pulls a little -- be sure to wash on delicate! I'll post pics later so you can see what I mean (later could me a week or two).

what a great bag...sure she will  it!

breaking out the popcorn:: to see the shirts Andrea made...

You're going to have to eat a lot of popcorn before I get pics up! I still haven't taken photos of an outfit I made for dd last week!

It seems the only photos I manage to post are BG ones since those have to be uploaded to get addresses.

And dh is off work today so while the kids are in school we are going biking at Back Bay -- that's an all day trip for us. Say a prayer for me -- I'm really out of shape. We went there one time when I was in tip top shape and it was really windy on our ride back to the car and I could barely walk the rest of the evening since I was in sooo much pain. I was fine the next day (probably b/c I was working out regularly back then). But today I know I won't recover quickly from any ailments. Maybe this can be day one of working on losing those stupid 9 pounds I just gained. I actually was down 1 pound this morning :cool1:

And Peter Pan just finished! I wanted to also do Hook today, but I've spent a good majority of the day sewing so I think that will have to wait. I have one teacher's tote finished -- it took longer to make than I remembered and my next one will take even longer because I am piecing some fabric together for it. I'll wait on PP pics until I get Hook done. Good thing I got some new shades of olive thread with my last Marathon order.

Love love love it all Andrea. Sorry haven't replied lately, my grandfather was put in hospice the other day very unexpectedly. We went up to say goodbye and are heading back to va as I type this. Hope everyone is having a super weekend.

 Sorry to hear about your GF. I'm glad you were able to take the time to go see them. I figured you went out of town, but I was hoping it was for something fun.

Alli loved the tank Andrea! She wants me to make her a pair of shorts to go with it.. Skye will love Dumbo.

Andrea, did you get another trap?? How annoying and scary to have a critter trying to get in the door. That would freak me out. Did you figure out how Sam got under the house? Were you able to block the entrance off? Brian is going around changing out the vent covers for our crawl space, we had a critter at one point.

GREAT news... I ordered my embroidery machine today. So totally excited!! Also opened the pool!! Jonathon was super excited!

Well, hope everyone is enjoying the holiday weekend!

Open pool???? What time do you want me over? Actually I have too long of a list today to do much. Ben has a paper due -- I made him do the rough draft last night so need to correct it and then he can write the final copy. And we have lots of reading we are BEHIND on -- he needs to read 75 minutes today out loud to me to catch up! Then I want to finish the tote I'm doing and start on the third and last one. I also want to go to Hancock's but I need to find my flyer -- it might be in the car. I am probably going early -- I didn't reply to your e-mail but let me find my flyer and I will. If we need a coupon for the 15% off we can just put our purchase together and then divvy it up. I want to do Brian's Hook shirt and ALexa's Unicorn -- I have black tank from the ON $2 sale and I think the rainbow would look good on black, or should I do it on a white one? And then last, but absolutely not least is cleaning. I hate cleaning and I always put it off but I need to get it done! I also want to see if dh will tackle another spot in the garage with me. We spent about 2 hours doing the one corner and it made a HUGE difference.

We never got another animal trap -- I heard scratching the first night after Sam was gone and none since. We'll keep our eyes and ears peeled. I don't think Sam lived under the house. The opossum definitely did b/c dh saw it go under the house (a tiny crack by our a/c -- she went under and the babies all jumped off her back and then they followed). Since Animal COntrol said opossums don't stick around hopefully she only nested there for her babies and is gone now (though I've seen an opossum twice within the past few months and both times she was coming form the direction of our house heading back toward the woods).

Cool that Allison wants some shorts! Another cute idea for teens is to take denim shorts and embellish them. These aren't shorts but I did this skirt for a tween once:
BGKatelynMulan1.jpg

And these are some jeans I did for Alexa:
BeatlesJeansBack.jpg
BeatlesJeans.jpg

Maybe Allison would like something like that. It would look really cute if you did a set to match the Chef Mickey shirts -- like dot fabric in black, yellow and red.

I am contemplating giving a yard sale this Saturday -- it's our neighborhood sale. It's sooooo much work but we could stand a little extra money. Ben is begging me for Waterpark passes this year and I'm not sure -- we can afford them but if our house doesn't sell I will have hate to have spent that $$$ -- we have it now, but may be desperate for $ this fall.
