I LOVE all of your creations and Andrea, Dumbo really melted my heart (Loved it all though). Happy Amy will soon be able to do all of the designs she wants.

Thank you for thinking of us. My grandfather passed away this morning. I got the call as I was walking out the door to meet Andrea at Hancock's. Then Mom called while I was inside. He waited for my grandmother to come in, my aunt opened the blinds and he passed peacefully.

Happy to report that the Sewers Guild in Bel Air Md sent 103 pillow cases in honor of Allison for us to take to Give Kids The World.

These are the 25 mom and I made to take

We had a busy weekend driving back and forth to Md in less than 48 hours, and then running some errands and planting the garden today. We also finished filling the pool and let the kids get in. (Although Jake decided to go over Skye's to swim in her pool)

That left no time for me to sew. BUT I was able to get my scissors and spray adhesive for my appliques. After dinner I had to clean the kitchen up so the workers can come in and start to get my kitchen back to a normal state... wonder how long it will really take!?!?!?!

That was incredibly generous for them to make so many beautiful pillowcases for GKTW in honor of Allison.

LOVE your pool, ours was damaged several years ago during a hail storm and it is sorely missed. It had been great therapy for Lisa.

Allison's PT is going to give her exercises for the pool!! They said it will be great therapy! Think that is why we got it open so early, I know..early?? YEah, we are always late getting it open

I continue to pray for you. I know all to well what the "flooding" scenario feels like. It's not the same, but it sorta is. Hope it gets fixed quickly!

Amy, once again I am sorry for the loss of your grandfather. I'm glad he got the hospice and passed peacefully. Your Grandmother and entire family are in my thoughts.

I love all the pillowcases!!! GKTW is going to be so excited to have so many. They seemed thrilled when I sent my shipment last year and it was only 1/4 of what you did. I'm going to keep plugging away at mine and will have them packaged up for you to take down as well.

Is it supposed to be warm this weekend? You did want me to finish that Hook and deliver it to you in person, with the kids, wearing our swimsuits, right?

I never went to Joann's yesterday. I was going to and then decided I really don't have extra money to buy anything more anyway. I would have liked to look at the clearance fabrics, but I decided I have enough to work with and plenty of projects to do. The only thing I really want from Joann's is colored elastic and it wasn't on sale and I already used my coupon on fabric at the Chesapeake store. I know I have a coupon for the first week in June so I'll get some then. I want to make Alexa a circle skirt with some fabric I got on clearance at Joann's a while back -- it's a thin corduroy -- I'm hoping it will work for a circle skirt since it's not heavy.

I did finish the second teacher's bag and it turned out nice, though it's really fall colors and makes me wonder if I should do something more summery I'll post pics later on Disbout and get opinions. I would like to do Alexa's Unicorn shirt today -- I think I'm just going to do it on a white tank I got at ON -- it was either that or black but I think it will be more vivid on white and I stopped buying chocolate ice cream so hopefully she won't spot it right away. She wanted it done on red but all the colors won't show up on red and I don't have a red shirt on hand and am not buying one!

So aside form the Unicorn shirt I can't make up my mind what to do -- I need to do the piano teacher's tote which is going to be more complicated due to my plans for it, but I'm bit out-toted after just doing the two. I may see if I have some fabric to make Alexa a skirt to go with the rainbow thread (though that would look cute with plain denim shorts too). I also might do another set of GKTW cases because I really like doing those -- they are simple and straight forward and no elastic is involved.

I finally tried my hand at the boxy bags! If only I knew how, I would send a picture. It took all afternoon but it came out well. The next one should be quicker and maybe by then I'll be able to get a picture up.
